Once the upgrade is completed, all users will see the new interface when they log into the system again. There is no need to upgrade one by one like a distributed system.

The final benefit is the convenience of management, because all user behaviors can be easily tracked in the system, logged, and analyzed. For example, login time can be used as the original attendance, and the saturation of employee workload can be determined based on the user's operating actions and retention time in the system, or the length and complexity of some operating processes can be determined for later optimization, etc.

These are difficult to achieve with distributed systems. Previously, the difficulty of terminal operation was a threshold, which was not a problem for scientists using Galaxy supercomputers, after all, they were all computer experts, but it was quite troublesome for counter operators in the financial, postal and public service systems.

Now, those unfriendly things have disappeared in the smart terminals. The new terminals can be operated like the Windows interface of a personal computer, which is very friendly.

There is another important function. With a graphical processing interface, the Galaxy smart terminal has the ability to process image files.

For the information systems of finance, postal services and public service, it is very important to preserve the original documents such as subpoenas, vouchers, documents, etc. These documents often bear the signatures and fingerprints of customers and users as a reliable guarantee of the official nature of the documents.

The previous character-type terminals could only process ASCII characters. After the introduction of the Hanwen large character library, they at least had the ability to process Chinese characters. However, they were completely powerless when it came to this type of image files.

The emergence of Galaxy intelligent terminal has solved this problem.
