Each student has a different understanding of benevolence and justice, and a different understanding of etiquette. As for the behaviors that are implemented on them, they are even more varied.

Zaiyu is precisely the most flexible group of Confucian students, while Zilu is the group of Confucian students who value loyalty, benevolence and righteousness the most.

Specifically speaking, no one can make a specific evaluation of what is right and wrong between them.

How can there be any standard answer for everything in the world?

But looking at Zilu's posture today, if he doesn't ask why, he probably won't let it go.

Confucius therefore asked: "Zhong You! Since this is the case, let me ask you, Boyi, Shuqi, Yu Zhong, Yiyi, Liu Xiahui, and Shaolian, which of the six sages belong to scholars and gentlemen, and which ones do not Woolen cloth?"

Zilu replied, "Of course they all belong."

Confucius shook his head and said: "If you infer according to your standard for Ah Yu, none of these six are scholars and gentlemen, and all of them are detrimental to the integrity of a gentleman."

Zilu frowned and asked, "Why?"

Confucius replied: "Bo Yi and Shu Qi did not lower their aspirations and humiliate their status, but they were unable to offer faithful advice, help the country, and govern the people.

Liu Xiahui and Shaolian were able to become officials, shade the people, and share the country's worries. However, they also had to lower their ambitions, humiliate their identities, and were never reused in their lives.

However, Yu Zhong and Yi Yi avoided the world and lived in seclusion, spoke boldly and bluntly, established themselves as innocent, and it was expedient to abandon their official position, but Yu Zhong and Yi Yi abandoned the crown prince, which made a mistake that could not be consistent. "

After hearing this, Zilu asked again, "Then what do you think should be done?"

When Confucius heard this, he just shook his head: "I don't know what to do.

All I know is that for a gentleman to behave in the world, there is nothing that must be done, and there is nothing that must not be done. As long as it is beneficial to the country and the people, it should be done.

At the beginning, the first king, Boqin, was about to go to the state of Lu to become a vassal. Before leaving, the Duke of Zhou told him:

'As a gentleman, he should not alienate his relatives, and not make ministers resent that he was not appointed. Therefore, if old friends have no major faults, don't abandon them, and don't blame a person. '

It can be seen from this that even Zhou Gong understands that there is no perfect person in this world!
Fu Yue was a criminal and prisoner in sackcloth and shackles, but he could assist Wu Ding in uniting people's hearts and conquering all nations.

He withdrew and sighed, "Don't forget to be respectful, this is really the lord of the people."To assassinate the Lord of the people is to be unfaithful.Failure to fulfill the mission of the monarch is disbelief.As long as there is one in between, it is better to die. '

So he crashed into a locust tree and died.

Zhao Dun was assassinated by Jin Linggong three times, but he was still able to persuade him, and thus won the support of the people of Jin.
