The beast starts from zero

What? Qiao Sang was stunned, her first reaction was that she thought she had misheard.

Qingbao can fuse with tornadoes, and after fusion, the energy can directly reach a level close to evolution? Is that true? Could it be that Qingbao sensed something wrong? Otherwise, why didn't Expert Lin tell me such important information?
A series of thoughts flashed through Qiao Sang's mind.

She was shocked, stunned, and somewhat excited. She wished she could immediately go into the Beast Taming Manual to take a look, but with Teacher Michaela beside her, she restrained herself.

Gangbao and Lubao looked at Qingbao and were happy for it.

"Teeth?"

Ya Bao then fell into deep thought again.

Can merging with a tornado make you stronger?

"Xia Xia."

Xia Bao's eyes curved into a smile, and the flower bud on her neck swayed involuntarily.

"Tingting."

Tingbao inexplicably felt a sense of pressure.

Originally, Qingbao and Xiabao were the only ones of similar level to it. Xiabao evolved too easily; as long as it felt the nature and was in a good mood, it could evolve. It originally thought that if it stayed here for a while and frequently absorbed lightning, it could quickly distance itself from Xiabao and catch up with Qingbao. However, before it could catch up, it was already outpaced again.
He's only been out for half a day, and he's already almost evolved?
"Xunxun?!"

Little Treasure Hunter reacted the most, taking a step back with an expression of utter disbelief.

You're about to evolve?!
"Qingqing."

Qingbao nodded with a proud expression.

"Search!"

Little Treasure Hunter took another step back, looking incredulous.

No! That's impossible!

"Qingqing."

Upon hearing this, Qingbao became displeased.

Why is it impossible?

Seeing the little treasure hunter's intense reaction, Michaela finally couldn't help but ask, "What are you talking about? What do you mean by merging the tornado? What is Qingbao talking about?"

Qiao Sang gathered her thoughts, her voice trembling with barely suppressed excitement as she said:
"Qingbao said it has fused with the tornado, and its internal energy has reached the point of rapid evolution!"

When Michaela heard the first part of the sentence, "The fusion of tornadoes has reached the point of near evolution," she was somewhat moved but not particularly shocked, since Jossan had said something similar before. However, upon hearing the second part, she couldn't help but widen her eyes in astonishment and blurted out:

"sure?"

Qiao Sang nodded and said:
"That's what Qingbao said."

"Qingqing."

Qingbao nodded firmly and called out, indicating that he was absolutely certain.

"Searching, searching"

Little Treasure Hunter shook his head frantically beside him.

I don't believe it, I don't believe it.
Once the fifth one evolves, it will be at the same level as me. If it gets angry again and creates a strong wind, will I still be able to escape?
A scene subconsciously flashed through Xiao Xunbao's mind.

Qingbao glared at him angrily after he accidentally farted. Just as he was about to run away as usual, Qingbao turned into a tornado and swept him up.

Little Treasure Hunter imagined himself entering the tornado today, and his expression grew increasingly desperate.

Having already experienced so much since becoming Josang's mentor, Michaela was only stunned for two seconds before processing it and thoughtfully saying:

"I've heard that there's a kind of pet that can become stronger by absorbing the power of nature."

As he spoke, he exclaimed with emotion, "I never expected Qingbao to have such abilities."

Upon hearing this, Qiao Sang was about to speak.

Qingbao became annoyed and shouted:
"Qingqing?"

What do you mean? What do you mean by "didn't expect it"?
Qingbao has indeed changed. Before, it would always express its dissatisfaction to Xiao Xunbao, but it would always pretend to be unhappy with other people and pets. Now it doesn't pretend at all. Qiao Sang thought to herself, suddenly sensing a change in the wind, and quickly said:
"Qingbao is a legendary pet beast, so it's normal for it to have such abilities."

“That’s true.” Michaela nodded slightly.

To be honest, with Qiao Sang, the youngest S-rank Beastmaster in history, along with the brand-new forms of Ya Bao and Gang Bao, and the mythical beast Xia Lala, she almost forgot that Qing Bao was a legendary pet beast.
After hearing this, Qingbao's displeased expression disappeared, and the surrounding wind returned to its usual state.

Thankfully, she was still as easy to coax as before. Qiao Sang breathed a sigh of relief and asked the question she had originally wanted to ask:

"What kind of pet can become stronger by absorbing the power of nature?"

“These are all relatively rare pet beasts,” Michaela said. “For example, Thunder Beast can become stronger by absorbing lightning, and one of the evolution conditions for Summer Beast is to sense the joy of nature, which can also be considered as becoming stronger through the power of nature.”

Tingbao and Xiabao looked over.

"Isn't this because Tingbao has the lightning-absorbing property?" Qiao Sang said.

Michaela pondered, "Some pets do need special traits to absorb abilities, but some pets don't; they have these abilities innate. Qingbao should be one of those."

"Qingqing."

Qingbao nodded in agreement.

It's something you're born with.

"Why didn't you say anything before?" Qiao Sang couldn't help but look at Qing Bao and ask.

"Qingqing."

Qingbao let out a calm cry, indicating that it had forgotten and only remembered when it was about to be merged into the tornado.

“Didn’t you say you weren’t integrated?” Josang asked.

Qingbao's body stiffened for a moment, then returned to normal, and she called out twice:
"Qingqing."

"Qingqing."

It wasn't prepared beforehand and was almost absorbed when it went in, but later, thanks to its powerful strength, strong will, and hearing your voice, it turned the tables and swallowed the tornado.

It seems that the key to successfully merging with the tornado was hearing my voice. Upon hearing this, Qiao Sang was somewhat relieved that she had gone to find Qing Bao, otherwise she would not know what the situation would be like now.

Then she thought of something and asked:

"What would happen if you didn't make it and were absorbed into the tornado?"

"Qingqing."

Qingbao called out confidently.

How could it possibly be merged by a tornado?

"Keep being stubborn," Qiao Sang said. "It's just a hypothetical situation."

Qingbao pondered for a moment, then called out:
"Qingqing."

It would probably lose consciousness and keep spinning with the tornado.

Hearing this, Qiao Sang immediately abandoned her plan to find the tornado and merge with Qing Bao.

She had originally thought that if Qingbao could absorb the power of the tornadoes to become stronger, she could go and find tornadoes so that Qingbao could catch up with Shangya Bao and the others sooner.

However, it seems that this method is no longer viable.

Since he's lost consciousness, even if Lu Bao uses her healing light, she probably can't be cured.

In a flash of thought, Michael said:

"Whether Qingbao is about to evolve or not, we can find out by taking out the energy detector. If it really is about to evolve, you should contact that expert as soon as possible. After all, Tianyuan Star doesn't have any Qingbao that needs evolution materials."

"Yes," Qiao Sang said, looking at Xiao Xunbao.

"small"

However, after only uttering one word, Little Treasure Hunter had already removed the ring, enlarged it, and eagerly crawled inside. She then took out an energy detector, looking even more impatient than Qingbao, and placed it in front of her, calling out twice:
"Search!"

"Search!" Quick test, quick test!

After saying that, without waiting for her own beast tamer or Qingbao to make a move, she took the initiative to turn on the energy detector and attached the connecting wire to Qingbao's body.

Qingbao: "."

Josan, Michaela, and Yabo stared at the numbers that were jumping wildly on the screen.

Xunxun and Xiao Xunbao stared intently, silently chanting, "Stop, stop, stop!"
"Xia Xia?"

Xia Bao watched for a while, then came to Ya Bao's side and asked curiously, "Can you understand it?"
"Teeth."

Ya Bao shook his head.

can't read.

"Xia Xia."

Xia Bao barked, indicating that it did too.

As he spoke, he continued to stare intently at the constantly changing numbers.

Gangbao, who overheard the conversation, glanced at Yabao and Xiabao.

"Tingting?"

Tingbao also heard the conversation. It couldn't help but bark, indicating that if you don't understand, why are you looking at it so seriously?
"Teeth."

Without a second thought, Ya Bao barked, indicating, "Let's see when it stops."

"Xia Xia."

Xia Bao nodded, indicating that it did too.

Tingbao showed an "Oh, I see" expression, and then stared intently at the constantly changing numbers on the display screen.

"Steel rights?"

Steel Treasure came to its side and couldn't help but bark, as if to say, "Can you understand this?"
"Tingting".

Tingbao shook its head and barked, indicating that it was also watching to see when it would stop.

Steel Treasure: "."

Gangbao glanced around and finally landed on Xiao Xunbao, whose face was growing increasingly desperate. He thought to himself that among his friends, only the leader should be able to understand.
"Search."

As Xiao Xunbao watched the numbers rise, his face grew increasingly desperate, and he subconsciously wiped away sweat that hadn't even appeared on his forehead.

After watching for a few seconds, Little Treasure Hunter floated to its Beastmaster's side and whispered:
"Search?"

What number indicates that the fifth one is close to evolving?

Steel Treasure: "."

Qiao Sang: "."

Qiao Sang chuckled:
"Didn't you already know the energy value for each level?"

She remembered that when Xiao Xunbao checked her energy level data, she knew she had reached the mid-stage of the King level before she could even say anything.

"Search."

Little Treasure looked at the ever-increasing numbers on the screen, let out a desperate cry, indicating that it felt it had been wrong about what it remembered before.
Because the current value has reached the late stage of the King level, and it is still rising.
Little Treasure Seeker would rather believe she misremembered the knowledge points than believe Qingbao is really about to evolve. Qiao Sang found it somewhat amusing. Looking at the numbers on the display screen in front of her, whose growth rate had already slowed down, she said ruthlessly:
“I think you remember correctly, Qingbao’s energy level has reached the point of rapid evolution.”

"Search!"

Little Treasure Hunter covered his head and screamed.

Do not!
Qingbao glanced at it.

Little Treasure Hunter quickly covered his mouth.

"Search."

Once Qingbao looked away, Xiao Xunbao gritted his teeth.

No, it absolutely cannot let the fifth brother catch up like this!

Suddenly, it thought of something, quickly darted to the pile of dolls, picked one up, its eyes glowing blue, and cast a mental link on it.

On the display screen, the last four digits kept changing, first increasing by several hundred, then decreasing by several hundred, then increasing by several hundred again, repeating this process without stopping.

“This shows that it hasn’t fully integrated with the power of nature yet,” Michaela said with a smile. “But looking at the numbers, Qingbao is indeed evolving quickly. It seems that the tornado it fused with this time is very powerful.”

Qiao Sang recalled what the tornado looked like and nodded in agreement:
"That tornado was indeed very powerful."

To be honest, even Wu Yuanxiang was swept away after entering. She didn't know how Qingbao managed to fuse with such a terrifying tornado. It truly lived up to its reputation as a legendary pet beast. Even after being contracted for so long, it still possessed this kind of ability that she was unaware of.

"Qingqing."

Qingbao's lips curled into a smug smile, and she let out a triumphant shout.

I told you I'm about to evolve.

Little Treasure Hunter is already in the zone, single-mindedly focusing on casting a mental link with the doll, unaffected by anything else.

“However, it cannot evolve yet,” Michaela said.

"Qingqing?"

Qingbao frowned and called out, indicating why?
“I know,” Qiao Sang said. “Qingbao hasn’t reached the upper limit of King-level energy yet, and there is still some power that hasn’t been fully digested. I will wait until it has been digested and the energy has stabilized before we talk about it again.”

"Qingqing."

Qingbao quickly regained her usual expression.

“That’s right,” Michaela nodded.

After saying that, she seemed to remember something and added, "You can contact that expert now."

“I’ll tell her now.” Qiao Sang said, taking out her phone, opening the chat app, tapping on her chat with Expert Lin, and sending a message:
Qingbao is about to evolve, and I need the evolution item (flowers) to evolve it to the Royal level.

Almost the next second after the message was sent, the other party sent a message:

【? ! 】

Just as Qiao Sang was about to explain in more detail, her phone vibrated.

Expert Lin called.

Qiao Sang glanced at the incoming call, went to the window, picked up her phone, and answered the call.

Before she could even speak, Dr. Lin's excited voice, almost painfully so, came from the other end of the phone:
"Qingbao is about to evolve?!"

Qiao Sang subconsciously moved her phone further away.

Expert Lin seemed to realize his lapse in composure, coughed twice, and regained his normal voice, saying:

"Sorry, I got a little excited. I remember Qingbao only recently became a King-level being, how come it's about to evolve already?"

Qiao Sang put the phone back to her ear and smiled:
"It's normal for you to be excited; I was also very excited when I first heard the news."

"Steel rights?"

As soon as he finished speaking, Gangbao's voice rang in his mind.

Are you excited?

"Am I not excited enough?" Qiao Sang mentally replied to Gang Bao, then continued, "I just found out about this too. There was a tornado in the city I was in today, and then Qing Bao went out..."

She briefly explained how Qingbao had merged with the tornado.

"It's a combination of tornadoes." After muttering this to himself, Expert Lin wasn't particularly excited; instead, something seemed to come to mind, and his tone became somewhat worried.

"I know a little about this, but I remember that fusing this kind of wind is very dangerous. Qingbao's level isn't high yet. Has there been any problem with the fusion? For example, has it stopped obeying your commands, started blowing winds arbitrarily, or become irritable?" (End of Chapter)
