PS: Edited.

Men Lingcao was suddenly pushed away by Chen Xun. She staggered back a few steps, her eyes wide with disbelief as she looked at the figure she had always secretly admired. Without looking back, she rushed out of the classroom.

Her tears instantly welled up. She opened her mouth, wanting to call out to Chen Xun, but no sound came out. She felt like a joke.

She covered her face, suppressing her sobs, and didn't look at anyone anymore. She didn't have the strength to argue with Hua Shier about whether Chen Xun had written the words on the blackboard. She just stumbled back to her seat, buried her face in her arms, and her shoulders trembled uncontrollably.

Qiao Ran chased Chen Xun out of the classroom, but after a while, he returned alone, looking rather unwell. He whispered to Zhao Ye, who was looking at him with a questioning gaze:

"Chen Xun left school, and I couldn't stop him."

His gaze swept over the crowd and landed on Fang Hui, who was still pale and shaken. His eyes held a complex expression that was hard to detect.

Then he walked up to Hua Twelve, his tone reproachful:

"Hua Twelve, can't we talk this out? Is it really necessary to resort to violence?"

Hua Shier raised his eyelids, looked at Qiao Ran, and said with a mocking tone:
"Then I won't hit him, how about I hit you instead?"

Qiao Ran was taken aback by his words, and her expression turned even more unpleasant.

Seeing this, Zhao Ye quickly stepped forward to smooth things over, grabbing Qiao Ran's arm and pulling him back to his seat:
"Alright, alright, Qiao Ran, say no more and go back to your seat."

Lin Jiamo asked Hua Twelve, "Was it really written by Chen Xun?"

Hua Shier looked at his deskmate: "What, are you going to stand up for him?"

Lin Jiamo rolled her eyes at Hua Shier, annoyed.
"Can't we talk properly? Fang Hui is my friend. If Chen Xun really is causing trouble, of course I'll side with Fang Hui!"

After speaking, she made no attempt to hide her admiration for Hua Twelve, and quietly gave him a thumbs-up:
"You were a real man just now!"

She thought Hua Shier's act of standing up for Fang Hui was incredibly cool, especially compared to Chen Xun's behavior of pushing open the door and Lingcao running away; the difference was obvious.

On the other side, Chen Xun, filled with anger and humiliation, left the school and wandered aimlessly until he inexplicably ended up at a roller skating rink he frequented.

The deafening music, the flashing lights, and the gliding crowds could not dispel the depression in his heart.

He saw a familiar figure in the venue; it was his good buddy, Tang Haibing.

Tang Haibing was showing off her skills on the field when she saw Chen Xun's dejected look and knew something was wrong. She slid over and put her arm around his shoulder.

"Xunzi, what happened? Did someone cook you?"

Chen Xun kept his head down and didn't speak, but Tang Haibing had already noticed the slap mark on his face and immediately said coldly:

"Who hit you? I'll go and get them back for you!"

As expected, Tang Haibing, accompanied by two young men from the streets, stood guard on the sidewalk outside the Fourth Middle School, their eyes fixed intently on the school gate. He then gave instructions to Chen Xun beside him:

"Point out the person who hit you, that's all you need to worry about!"

After he finished speaking, he turned around and suddenly his eyes narrowed because he saw Fang Hui riding her bicycle home alone.

"Holy crap, there's an unexpected surprise!"

Tang Haibing immediately led his men to stop Fang Hui's bicycle:

"Hey, Fang Hui, in such a hurry to go home? I didn't see the white flower on you! You didn't even wear a white flower, how can you face Li He?"

When Fang Hui saw Tang Haibing, her face turned deathly pale. Her knuckles turned white from gripping the handlebars so tightly that her nightmares from junior high school resurfaced.

"Tang Haibing, what are you doing? This has nothing to do with her!"

Chen Xun hurried over; he hadn't expected Tang Haibing to cause trouble for Fang Hui.

Tang Haibing pointed at Fang Hui and roared at Chen Xun:

"Xunzi, do you remember Li He that I told you about? If it weren't for that slut, my brother wouldn't have died. That vixen is a jinx!"

Just then, Hua Shier and Zhao Ye walked out of the school gate arm in arm, ready to go to the internet cafe for a three-hundred-round battle and see if any customers would come their way, when they happened to see this scene.

Hua Shier's eyes turned cold. Without saying a word, he pedaled his bicycle and sped off like an arrow. To Tang Haibing's astonishment, he crashed into him, knocking him to the ground.

The bicycle paused for a moment, then Hua Shier lifted the handlebars, the wheel lifted, and with a sudden push, he rode over Tang Haibing without any mercy.

"Holy crap, ah—!"

Tang Haibing had only seen a back view and the shape of a mountain bike last time, but he hadn't seen Tsinghua Twelve's face. Now, seeing this familiar scene and feeling this familiar pain, he was convinced that the person in front of him was the one who had hit him last time.

"Damn it! It's you! You're the one who hit me last time!"

Tang Haibing endured the pain and got up, pointing at Hua Shier with a face full of resentment.

His two henchmen and Chen Xun immediately surrounded Hua Shier, blocking his path:
"You hit someone and tried to run away?"

Hua Shier looked completely bewildered: "What do you mean, 'hit someone'? The ground isn't level, and people shovel uneven ground!"

Seeing this, Zhao Ye immediately rushed forward and stood beside Hua Shier, calling out to Tang Haibing and the others:

"What are you doing? Want to fight?"

Fang Hui was also frightened and got out of the car, ran to Hua Shier's side, and nervously looked at the opposite side.

Lin Jiaming, who came out later, saw this scene and rode over without hesitation, glaring angrily at Tang Haibing and the others:

"What do you think you're doing? This is the school gate!"

Qiao Ran pushed the cart out of the school gate and, seeing this scene, immediately guessed that Chen Xun had come to ambush Hua Shier, so she quickly came over and pulled Chen Xun away:
"Forget it, let's not make a big deal out of it."

Chen Xun shoved Qiao Ran's hand away, pointed at Hua Shier, and angrily said:

"This is no longer my problem! He hit my friend!"

Hua Shier, supporting the cart, scoffed:
“A bicycle hitting a person is also a traffic accident. You should call the traffic police. It’s a good opportunity to let Uncle Hat judge the matter. This idiot is blocking the middle of the road. I haven’t even made him compensate me for the damage to my bike yet. I think he should pay me some money!”

"You fart!"

Tang Haibing winced in pain: "You were the one who bumped into me last time! You did it on purpose!"

The two sides were on the verge of conflict, with tensions running high.

Just then, Su Kai and several members of the basketball team rode their bikes out of the school gate. Seeing their team members surrounded by young people from the streets, they immediately stopped their bikes, and a row of tall figures surrounded them.
"What are you doing? What are you doing? Bullying people from No. 4 Middle School!"

Tang Haibing was intimidated by the sheer number of opponents and the imposing physiques of the basketball team members. However, unwilling to lose face, he pointed at Hua Shier and uttered a harsh threat:

"Fine, you've got guts! There are more of you than I am today, this isn't over! You just wait!"

He thought he would have to suffer in silence today, so he made some harsh words and prepared to leave with his men.

However, just when everyone thought the conflict had temporarily subsided, Hua Twelve suddenly made a move!

He suddenly lifted the heavy mountain bike and smashed it down on Tang Haibing without warning!

"boom!"

"what!"

Tang Haibing didn't even have time to react before being knocked to the ground by the bicycle.

Just as his two henchmen were about to make a move, Hua Shier, like a tiger among sheep, kicked them one by one with swift and fierce speed, knocking them to the ground in the blink of an eye, leaving them unable to get up for a while.

It all happened so fast that by the time Su Kai and Zhao Ye realized what was happening and rushed to help, the battle was already over.

Hua Shier reached out to stop them: "Don't move, that's enough."

Chen Xun roared angrily at Hua Twelve:

"Hua Twelve! What right do you have to hit someone again?!"

Hua Shier turned around, and to everyone's astonishment, raised his hand and slapped Chen Xun again! "Smack!"

The crisp sound made the air freeze again.

Hua Shier stared at Chen Xun, who was covering his face, his eyes filled with shock and humiliation, and said, word by word:
"You called Tang Haibing over here just so he could beat me up and avenge you, right? You son of a bitch, so you're the only ones who can beat me up, huh?!"

"You want me to wait? I'm impatient, I can't wait, so what!"

Hua Shier said, "Hey, tui!" and spat on Tang Haibing's face, making the latter so angry that he almost fainted.

Chen Xun opened his mouth, his face turning from red to white, but he couldn't utter a single word in rebuttal.

Lin Jiamo and Zhao Ye's gazes towards Chen Xun instantly became complicated.

Hiring someone to ambush your classmate is disgusting!
Hua Shier ignored Chen Xun. He knew this matter couldn't drag on for too long, otherwise, with so many onlookers, it would quickly attract the school's attention. He said to Zhao Ye:
"I'm not going to the internet cafe today. I'll take Fang Hui home first!"

Zhao Ye, looking rather foolish, pointed at Fang Hui, then at Hua Twelve:
"you."

Lin Jiamo's expression became somewhat complicated at this moment.

Hua Shier waved his hand and said to Fang Hui, who was still in shock, "Let's go, I'll take you home."

Fang Hui nodded, got on her bike, and rode off with Hua Shier.

As Hua Shier was leaving, he said to Su Kai and the others, "Thanks, brothers. I'll treat you to dinner another day!"

Su Kai chuckled and said, "It's alright, let's all hang out with our buddies!"

Back in the neighborhood near Shuang'an Shopping Mall, at the place where they always parted ways, Hua Shier said to Fang Hui:

"Go home, you'll be fine after a good night's sleep!"

After Hua Shier finished speaking, he rode his bicycle home. Not long after he entered the house, he heard a knock on the door. He went over and opened the door, and saw Fang Hui standing outside.

"How did you come?"

After her initial surprise, Hua Shier invited, "Why don't you come in and sit for a while?"

Fang Hui nodded and silently walked in.

Hua Shier closed the door: "Please sit wherever you like. I'll go get you a drink. Do you want it chilled or at room temperature?"

Fang Hui saw Hua Shier turn and go to the kitchen. She hesitated for a moment, then suddenly mustered the greatest courage she had ever had. She took a few quick steps and hugged him tightly from behind.

"Thank you! From the time I was in the third year of junior high until now, you are the first person to stand up for me. Thank you!"

Hua Shier found it somewhat amusing: "What era are we living in? Don't you dare say you have nothing to repay me with, like offering yourself in marriage!"

Fang Hui's voice trembled, but it was exceptionally clear, "Will you be my boyfriend?"

Hua Shier did not answer immediately, nor did he turn around.

Fang Hui's heart sank lower and lower, but she didn't let go. Instead, she hugged him even tighter, as if using all her strength, and said in a tearful voice:
"If you don't say anything, I'll take that as your consent!"

After saying that, without waiting for Hua Shier's response, she abruptly released him, lowered her head, and quickly went into the kitchen, saying nervously as she spoke:
"What are you having for dinner? I'll cook for you."

They opened the refrigerator and cupboards, only to find them empty except for drinks and beer.

Hua Twelve smiled and said:
"I'm too lazy to cook for myself, let's go out to eat."

"no!"

Fang Hui insisted, "From now on, I'll cook for you, so you won't have to eat out all the time. Just you wait!"

After she finished speaking, she turned and ran downstairs. A short while later, she returned, panting, carrying a bag of eggs she had just bought and a small bag of rice.

She busied herself in the kitchen, rinsing rice, steaming rice, beating eggs, and frying eggs, her movements skillful and meticulous.

Hua Shier leaned against the kitchen door frame, quietly watching her busy figure without disturbing her.

Finally, the two sat down at the table and finished their simple yet heartwarming dinner together.

Fang Hui kept her head down, not daring to look at Hua Shier, her ears flushed red.

After dinner, Hua Shier escorted Fang Hui downstairs and watched her leave. At that moment, he felt he should do something for this girl.

That evening, Hua Shier went out alone and found Tang Haibing drinking with Chen Xun and a few other young men.

Hua Shier didn't go inside; instead, he found a secluded spot outside the restaurant and waited.

When the crowd dispersed and Tang Haibing was left alone, Hua Shier walked up from behind and kicked him in the lower back, sending Tang Haibing sprawling face-first into the ground and bleeding from his face.

Then Hua Shier walked over, grabbed Tang Haibing by the hair, dragged him to a shady spot by the roadside, and casually swung two large fists at him:

“I know what you did to Fang Hui. I didn’t do anything to you before because you had nothing to do with her. But now, it’s different!”

He paused, then said in a commanding tone:
"Have you heard of 'bearing thorns to apologize'? Treat yourself the way you treated Fang Hui, then dress up like someone who's 'bearing thorns to apologize,' and go apologize to Fang Hui every day after school!"

"However many days Fang Hui has been bullied by you, you can apologize for as long as it takes to be considered over!"

Tang Haibing was run over by Hua Shier's bicycle again today. He was in pain all over. He had drunk some alcohol earlier and didn't have the strength to struggle. He could only glare at Hua Shier with resentment in his eyes and grit his teeth without saying a word.

Hua Shier patted Tang Haibing's face again:

"Trying to act tough, huh? If you don't do as I say, if you don't do as I say, then you can try. But whatever you do, whatever you do, whatever you do, don't push me to the point of taking real action. I'll say it three times, remember that!"

After saying that, he chuckled, got up, and left.

Tang Haibing did not appear the next day.

The next day, Tang Haibing's father was stuffed with a sack on his way home from get off work. Although he was not seriously injured, he was quite frightened.

When Tang Haibing found out, he angrily went to confront Hua Shier the very next day after school.

Hua Twelve simply smiled and said:

"Yesterday was just a warning. Of course, you can call the police, but do you have any evidence that I did it?"

He leaned closer and whispered, "If you don't do as I say, it won't be so simple next time."

Looking at those seemingly smiling eyes, Tang Haibing felt a chill run down her spine.

He sensed an aura and ruthlessness emanating from the person before him that he could not resist. He had a feeling that this boy, who was even younger than him, was not just talking.

That very day, he asked around about Hua Shier's background, and what he found out almost scared Tang Haibing to death.

So this is the wolf killer who was in the newspaper a while ago!
Tang Haibing chickened out, feeling wronged. "If you were a wolf, you should have said so earlier."

Why didn't you say so sooner? You should have said so earlier! If you had, none of this would have happened.

The next day, Chen Xun, Qiao Ran, Zhao Ye, and the others witnessed a scene that left them speechless.

Then I saw Tang Haibing waiting on the sidewalk, wearing a white flower on his chest. Perhaps he couldn't find any brambles, so he carried a feather duster, which was quite conspicuous.

Chen Xun naturally recognized that it was his buddy and went up to ask him, but Tang Haibing told him not to meddle in other people's business.

When Fang Hui came out, Tang Haibing hurriedly braced himself and ran over to kneel on the ground:
"Fang Hui, I was wrong. I shouldn't have blamed Li He's death on you. I'm not human, I'm worthless. I apologize to you, but you don't need to forgive me. Forgiveness is your business, and apologizing is mine!"

Actually, he only said that because Hua Shier had set a date for him. He just wanted to make himself look pitiful so that Hua Shier would keep his word and not mess with him in the future.

She glanced at Hua Shier beside her, who was all smiles, and seemed to understand something instantly.

In an instant, the grievances, fears, and gloom that had been building up for so long seemed to find an outlet. She covered her mouth, and tears streamed down her face.

But this time, it was no longer despair and fear, but relief and ease, and gratitude to Hua Twelve.
