Chapter 694 Amazing Grace

Chapter 694 Amazing Grace

Now, the audience has this experience similar to climbing the Huita.

By the 8th counterpoint, they found that the musical idea had entered the field of "multiple fugue"!

What is a multiple fugue? For example, if you design a theme A, first develop it into a complete piece according to the rules of fugue, then design a theme B with a different style, and develop it into a new piece in the next section. Finally, theme A and theme B should appear at the same time without conflict, and end with a review and sublimation in the third section of the recapitulation. This can be called a "double fugue"! The corresponding technique is called "double counterpoint"!

This is an extremely magical and rigorous structure!

As Fanning plays the 8th counterpoint, at first, people cannot hear the familiar melody.

The elegiac first theme, written from new material, and the chromatic second theme with a repetitive dynamic, are each presented in an independent fugue section.

In the middle of the piece, they appear together again, forming an expansion section that is very different from the usual ones.

Then, at the stage of the third theme, the familiar "God's Theme" that makes people feel like they are meeting again finally appeared!

It turns out that this is an "octave triple fugue" in which three themes are presented, developed and reproduced together in different octaves!

Triple fugue?

Is the hidden knowledge of the Trinity contained therein?

In the 9th and 10th counterpoints, Fanning demonstrated to the audience the perfect paradigms of "twelve-degree double counterpoint" and "ten-degree double counterpoint".

First, the first theme leaps up by an octave, making a hearty scale-like development, and the second theme is the "God's Theme" that emerges like a cry.

The double counterpoint pattern of the latter song is similar to it, but the difference is that the "God's Theme" has been fully developed, including 4 large-scale entries and evolutions, rather than simply "shouting out" like the previous song!

The 11th counterpoint is connected to the original 8th. As a "triple fugue", the order of presentation of the three themes here is opposite, and the form is also opposite!

The opening is the "God's Theme", but it is a reflection, then it is the reflection of the "Elegy Theme", and then it is the reflection of the "repeated semitones".

But the whole fugue also made further development. Before the third exposition, the first theme returned to the tonic and dominant tonality four times, forming a complete recapitulation of the "God's Theme"!

At this point, half of the 22 tracks have been completed.

The trend of revealing truth and mystery is still tending to move towards higher and higher angles.

At each stop, after the temporary end of "The Art of Fugue", the next stop is "Twenty Meditations on the Holy Infants", which fascinates and looks forward to the most by avant-garde artists.

The revelation is getting deeper and deeper, and the revelation is rising more and more in the skull. Thoughts are like glass, and knowledge is like light.

In the fourth piece, “The Contemplation of the Virgin,” for example, they saw how Father Lavoisier could use a traditional rhythmic form—a lullaby style—with modern material.

The motive constructed by the four notes GF#-E#-D# makes the music sway in a mysterious and pure atmosphere. The triplets in the connecting part present the "star and cross" motive, and the sound stream with major second, major third and augmented fourth as the core pours down mysteriously. Then, the second theme "birdsong chord" created by the composer using the "birdsong technique" appears.

Messiaen was not only a theologian, composer, and organist, but also an outstanding ornithologist.

These bird songs are filled with mysterious passion. Fanning uses his keen touch to create a charming halo and leads the music to the quiet and peaceful fifth song.

"The Son Gazes upon the Child" further deepens the elaboration of the mystery of the Trinity - the low voice clearly presents the "Father's Theme", expressing the picture of the Son gazing at himself, while the upper two voices are layers of color, with crystal-like block music that is like stars, looming.

As a symbol of joy, the construction method of "bird song" appears again in the connecting part. As the "Father's Theme" gradually becomes clearer, the volume gradually increases, and the skylarks are joyful. The ending is in the resonance of the main chord of F# major with the sixth tone. The bird song theme is repeated 13 times in the high pitch and gradually disappears.

The title of the sixth track is “Because of His coming, everything can be accomplished.”

The musical inspiration of this song points believers directly to another teaching in the "Enlightenment Sutra": "Countless time and space: galaxies, light, vortices, thunder and lightning. At a certain moment, all things open up their glorious side for His people." It is like a sudden descent from the heavenly and divine to the superficial and secular. The tranquil atmosphere of the previous song suddenly turns into the trembling, fiery movement at the beginning, giving people an impact of power and a frenzy of light, as if the magma flames at the origin of the world are boiling!

This piece is rarely written in fugue, but it is not written in the traditional vocabulary of The Art of Fugue. From the beginning of the presentation, the unstable "Father Theme" has been continuously deformed, but it maintains strict logic; the interlude is further developed in a complete retrograde form; the recapitulation is composed of two parts of the theme, which are closely connected and responsive, and the speed is gradually accelerated to gather overwhelming momentum. The whole movement is almost swallowed up by Fanning's unrestrained skills!

At the end, in the halo of the theme chords, Fanning plays the counterpoint with his hands in three separate octaves, stirring up a colorful overtone, just like the arm of a god tearing open the curtain!

Probably, it was when the Art of Fugue was played to the 8th movement and the Twenty Meditations on the Infants was played to the 5th and 6th movement.

Most of the high-ranking members of the Church, a small number of knowledgeable ones, and a very small number of believers with extraordinary intelligence, they all sensed a witness named "Endless Fugue"!

This may be the secret about the first generation of Saint Sebastian, the One Who Bathed in Light!

He did succeed in passing through the dome door, as the second of the "Trinity", after the above-listed houses, the name of God is like this!!

"Do you feel that?" A bishop at the scene suddenly whispered tentatively to his colleagues.

"You mean"

"I seem to have noticed this change last night."

"Yes, I feel like my strength has almost doubled!!"

The clergymen gradually discovered that the level of their inspiration, and even the degree to which they could invoke and stimulate invisible forces, were becoming stronger along the way!

This is really a change that is difficult to explain and difficult to grasp the reason.

Their realm has not improved at the moment, but it seems that some "numerical" things have been forcibly changed by some rules!

It was because I suddenly knew the "Endless Fugue" of the Lord of Witness.

The few who had noticed the changes last night had already secretly tried to use the invisible power.

Absolutely true.

It just works sometimes and sometimes not, as if it's not very stable for the time being. I tried it about ten times, and it seems to work three or four times.

"Don't make it public."

Even His Holiness the Pope, facing the inquiring looks from others, made this statement without commenting.

A few days ago, Sheler used "The Rite of Spring" to help the Temple of Fragrance understand the ancient key, ignoring the spiritual knowledge of the existing "phantoms" and creating dozens of people who know the secrets. This has become a hot topic in the official organization circle!

But now, my own church.

How big is the clergy base of the Holy Sun Church?

Such grace is too amazing!
