The little monk returns to the vulgar

Chapter 265 How to Revitalize Buddhism

Chapter 265 How to Revitalize Buddhism
The fist is so big that it is invincible in the world. The name is right and sound, and it is so right that no one can find a reason.Adding up the two advantages, it would be foolish not to be an emperor.

This is a truth recognized by everyone in the world.

But this is the rule of fighting for the world, and it is not very suitable for Buddhism.

If Daoran sweeps the mortal world with great magic power, he will turn all the different branches of Buddhism into branches of Jinshan Temple. Then they forced the emperor to make Buddhism the state religion, popularize Buddhism throughout the mortal world, and let children learn Buddhist scriptures first when they learn to write.

Perhaps in the beginning, Buddhism will prosper.

After all, what Daoran handed down is the real scriptures, not the deceitful stuff of Lanruo Temple and Lingyin Temple. Then, Buddhism will flourish for decades, hundreds of years, and then the Great Zhou Dynasty will repeat the tragedy of the Tang Dynasty.

Although Daoran is a fake monk with a different heart, but the scriptures he read are all true. He has been influenced by his ears and eyes since he was a child, and it is easy to find the real reason for the collapse of Tang Buddhism-excessive force.

In the early Tang Dynasty, Mahayana Buddhism was sent to the Central Plains. The emperor was very happy and ordered the whole country to learn it.

There are always many different understandings and interpretations of Buddhism, but the emperor wholeheartedly promoted the "truth", so the Mahayana Buddhism understood by the emperor became the standard, and anyone who did not follow this standard would be disrespectful.

In order to please the emperor, the people below naturally do what they like.

Then, each generation of emperors had their own "understanding" of the Buddhist scriptures. By the late Tang Dynasty, the Buddhist scriptures were full of annotations and "senses" of the emperors, and the people of the world had to follow this standard.

Daoran had read many "commentary on Buddhist scriptures" left by the former emperors, most of which expounded on the two aspects of "keeping the precepts" and "compassion".

However, the essence of Buddhism has nothing to do with these two.

True Buddhist practice does not talk about precepts, nor does it talk about compassion.

Buddha is enlightenment, as long as you can awaken, you can get great freedom, any place and any state are bliss, and you will not be affected by the outside world.

So why is Da Zi Zai Tian also a Buddha, because he is also an enlightened person. He is the Lord of Demons, and his divine kingdom is also the Land of Ultimate Bliss. He and the Buddha took completely different paths, but they all lead to the same goal. There is no essential difference between the two in terms of realm.

Therefore, smearing outsiders is also a branch of Buddhism, but because human beings live in groups and their nature tends to be orderly, most branches of Buddhism take doing good as their criterion.

People who do good deeds can see more life styles, and when they have more knowledge, they will naturally become enlightened easily.

Precepts and compassion are just ways to provide enlightenment to those who have not yet awakened. When you can feel bliss from observing precepts and compassion, then you are not far from enlightenment.

But if you only think about keeping precepts and forget the real purpose of enlightenment, then you will torture yourself forever; if you only think about compassion and don’t know what liberation is, then you will become a virgin whore.

But the emperors didn't think so. They only saw these two, and what remained in the end were not Buddhist scriptures, but apocryphal scriptures.

At the end of the Tang Dynasty, everyone recited scriptures, but what they recited was apocryphal scriptures.

Everyone is chanting Amitabha Buddha, but it is actually for the sake of flattery, for the sake of glory, wealth and power.

How can a person who recites the Buddha's name become enlightened, and how can he achieve the right result?

Until the end of the Tang Dynasty, the only people who truly became Buddhas were the four masters and apprentices of Journey to the West.

This path has already been proven once, and the trick of playing the state religion will not work.

Daoran made a summary of this process - when ordinary people lose the ability to think about Buddhism, Buddhism is completely over.

If Daoran does this, it can be expected that the Demon Bodhisattva Tiradada will do everything possible to make trouble.

This is a real heavenly demon. If he wants to misinterpret Buddhist scriptures, read crooked scriptures to people, and then use Buddhist teachings to harm people, it is not too simple.

The world is so big, how can Dao Ran see it?
Within ten years, there will be countless Buddhist liars in the world, and then Buddhism will be treated as a deceptive thing again.

In the end, it will evolve into the place where Dao Ran is, leaving a little fire for Buddhism, but as long as he leaves the mortal world, the Dharma will be submerged by the surging river, and then rot and disappear.

This kind of endless tug-of-war is absolutely unacceptable to Dao Ran.

The idea of returning to vulgarity has never changed, Daoran just wants to finish this job and find a happy place to nest in it.

If he can save Buddhism from the Dharma-ending era, with this merit, Fa Hai has no right to criticize him.

The question now is, how can we avoid the distorting of the Buddhadharma by future generations, and how can we ensure that the fire of inheritance will not be extinguished?

This question, Dao Ran already has a little outline in his mind, but it still needs to be practiced.

"Before you died, did the things I gave you to study have any effect?" Daoran asked.

Hearing the four words before dying, Xuanjizi gave Daoran an unhappy look, but still replied: "I only studied half of it at that time, and I have already handed it over to Sister Bai."

Daoran turned his head and looked at Bai Suzhen.

Bai Suzhen thought for a while, and then asked, "You mean that weird exercise?"

Daoran quickly asked: "That's right, it's a skill that mortals can practice, has it been designed yet?"

"The design is well designed. According to the moving mountain formula as a reference, as long as it has the effect of strengthening the body, as long as it is supplemented with medicine, the effect should be very good. However, this exercise can only strengthen the body in the end, and it cannot be practiced. Mortals are only mortals after all, so what's the use of letting them live a hundred years in good health?"

When Bai Suzhen got these manuscripts, she thought she had read them wrong.

It's really incomprehensible that Daoran and Xuanjizi put so much effort into creating a kung fu for mortals that can only be regarded as better than nothing.

Fortunately, most of the previous work has been completed, and Bai Suzhen only needs to deduce it according to the two people's ideas.

In the days when Daoran and Xuanjizi were away, Bai Suzhen studied this exercise when she had nothing to do, and she had already completed the first edition.

It's just that the effect of this first version has never been tested.

"It is only the first step to make people physically fit. With a healthy enough body, they will have the energy to learn new things.

"If they work all day long and only want to sleep when it gets dark, how can they have time to learn the Dharma? Why do people in the world always like to chant Amitabha Buddha? It is simply unrealistic to read Buddhist scriptures at all times.

"People only think about life when they are free. The first step to revitalize Buddhism is to allow ordinary people to have time to think about what Buddhism is.

"If they only need to work for four hours a day to be fed and clothed, and the remaining four hours are for rest, and the last four hours are for themselves, maybe they don't need me to teach them, and they will understand the Dharma. Interested."

Dao Ran is not going to take out such a big killer as the steam engine, although there is no problem in mass producing the steam engine with his current ability.

But the sudden increase in productivity will directly destroy the social structure. Once the steam engine is put into use and a large number of products are produced, who do you sell them to?Productivity that does not conform to the social environment will have serious consequences.

Daoran now has enough time to change this mortal world step by step.

Besides, he has another thing to deal with.

Daoran took out a booklet from his long sleeves, and said to Xuanjizi and Bai Suzhen, "This is the information about the enemy family that I wrote down in the City of Death. Tell me, how can I avenge them?"

Xuanjizi looked at the thickness of the booklet and said strangely, "That's all?"

Daoran immediately took out a volume that could fill an entire bookshelf, and said to Xuanjizi: "That is the catalog, these are the contents."

Xuanjizi's eyes widened, how many people would it take to kill?
