Chapter 276 Planning
Chapter 276 Planning
"It's over!" Roland plopped down on the ground, panting heavily.
"Yes! It's over! We won!" Bahrain also plopped down on the ground without any regard for his image.
"Tell me your thoughts!" Roland said quietly, gazing at the massive remains of the Balrog.
"Of course, it's to reclaim the entire Moria!" Balin pulled out a bottle of wine from somewhere and gulped it down.
"You know what! Now that the Balrog is dead, I feel so empty inside! I don't even know what to do now!" Balin was so excited that he was at a loss, and his legs were kicking unconsciously as he sat on the ground.
"Let everyone get some rest! Our dragon needs to recuperate too; she's badly injured!" Roland looked worriedly at the Smurf protected in the center by the Royal Guards. At this moment, she had shrunk her size to that of a house cat.
"Is your dragon alright?" Balin's expression changed as well. After all, the dragon's injury was caused by them. How much compensation should be given for a dragon's injury? (Waiting for an answer online! It's urgent!)
"Not fatal, but seriously injured. He won't be able to fight for a long time..." Roland sighed. The Smurf had been crushed by the Balrog's War Stomp, breaking several ribs and injuring his internal organs! He looked fine on the outside, but Kaldor told Caslo that his kin had suffered severe internal injuries!
"Is there anything we can do to help?" Balin asked hastily, looking at Roland with some shame.
"It's alright, she'll be fine after a period of rest. Anyway, there's no place where she needs to fight right now!" Roland waved his hand dismissively. Even if it's an elf dragon, it's still a pure-blooded dragon! Its vitality is incredibly strong! As long as it doesn't die, it'll be back to its old self in a few days at most. After all, elf dragons are the dragon race closest to nature, with an abundance of survival and recovery skills.
"Your Highness, this is for you!" Caslo, covered in blood, handed Roland the Fire Demon Heart he had just dug out.
"Thank you! Go wash up and get some rest!" Roland took the Heart of the Flame Demon and tossed it into the system space.
"Omske! Lead everyone to cook! Get everyone something hot to eat!" Roland swallowed, feeling the hunger in his stomach as well.
“No problem!” Omske’s eyes lit up. He had just fought a fierce battle and had used up a lot of energy. Nothing was more comforting than a hot meal.
"Your Highness? Lord Omske sent us to ask you for ingredients! And our cooking utensils." A group of Lordaeron rangers walked over and said softly to Roland, who was sitting on the ground looking completely disheveled.
"Oh! Okay, no problem! Let me look!" Roland awkwardly rummaged through the system's inventory, feeling incredibly embarrassed. He'd asked someone to cook for him but hadn't been given pots, pans, or ingredients...
"Thank you, Your Highness. If there's nothing else, we'll head back to report!" The Lordaeron rangers brought some soldiers to help them move the goods to the open space in the square.
"Oh! Turin! You actually use a spatial ring to store vegetables?" Balin was shocked by Roland's extravagance.
"Hehe! It's an heirloom, with a large capacity. I'll try my best to make sure everyone has a better life outside!" Roland smiled and shook his head. He was grateful for the vastness of the system space, which allowed him to put down all his miscellaneous things.
"I'll go see what they've been doing!" Roland swallowed hard, smelling the aroma of freshly baked bread.
……
"Omske, what are they doing?" Roland asked curiously as his soldiers busied themselves around the campfire.
"Toast, lettuce wraps with roast meat! Salted fish soup and some scraps of roast meat!" Omske smacked his lips.
"Great! I'm waiting for dinner!" Roland patted him on the shoulder.
"How come we never noticed before? Our rangers are actually quite skilled!" Roland shook his head in amazement. "Hehe! These rangers spend their lives in the jungle, self-sufficiency is their survival instinct. They are one of the few half-elf armies in the Empire, and I can only say they are very lucky to have survived!" Omske remarked.
"Your Highness, dinner is ready!" a wandering knight said to Roland as he ran over.
“No problem. Please go and inform Caslo. He should be sleeping. Don’t let him miss his mealtime,” Roland instructed.
"Bahrain! Dinner's ready!" Roland tapped the silver bowl in his hand with his chopsticks.
"Oh! King Roland, your tableware is really peculiar! Two sticks?" Balin looked curiously at the chopsticks in Roland's hand.
"Haha, it's just tableware from my hometown..." Roland shook his head, but a strange longing for that blue planet began to stir in his heart...
"This place isn't bad either, at least it's a king, isn't it?" Roland consoled himself.
"Hey! Caslo! Time to eat! Wake up!" Roland shook the drowsy Caslo.
"Ah~ Your Highness! I'm so sleepy~ My muscles are sore all over after fighting that Balrog for so long!" Caslo began to complain to Roland.
“Um… Eat your fill and then go to sleep. If you go to sleep now, you’ll wake up hungry and there won’t be any hot food left!” Roland said.
“That makes sense!” Caslo picked up a piece of toast about the length of his forearm and the thickness of his palm without any hesitation, then broke open the crispy bread and sandwiched the vegetables and roast meat inside.
"Huh! You learned it from me?" Roland teased. It seems that roujiamo (Chinese hamburger) truly transcends geographical boundaries. (A hamburger and a roujiamo are practically indistinguishable.)
Sure enough, the soldiers of Lagrange all followed Caslo's eating style. This all started when Roland first ate like this. Compared to the way everyone ate, taking a bite of bread, a bite of roast meat, and a sip of wine, this way of eating was obviously more time-saving and labor-saving. Moreover, it didn't feel greasy when paired with vegetables. It could be said that it was suitable for all ages and genders! Before long, it became popular throughout the entire Swiftstream City region.
"Don't just eat! Come and take a look! We're about to break through Moria! I want you two to have a look at the road ahead!" Roland said, munching on a mutton sandwich from another world, while pulling out a map and spreading it on the ground.
"Wow! This map is incredibly accurate!" Bahrain exclaimed in surprise.
"Hmm, so-so," Roland said vaguely, after all, this was a map given to him by the system not long ago, and it was much more detailed than any of the current maps.
"Look, you two, should we return to Rivendell via the West Gate, cross the Misty Mountains, cross the river at Old Pass, and take the Old Forest Road back to Swiftstream, or should we go through the East Gate, pass Rorian, and head north to Old Pass via Anduin?" Roland asked the two, pointing to the map.
“Of course we’ll go through the east gate! Going back the way we came is just going in circles, isn’t it?” Caslo shrugged.
“My main concern is that something unexpected might happen along the way. After all, we’ve never been to the eastern foothills of the Misty Mountains before, and we don’t really know the distribution of power or anything like that…” Roland said with some worry.
"Pfft!" Omsk burst out laughing, almost choking.
After swallowing his food with difficulty, he said to Roland, "No matter what happens, I believe our army will handle everything! Under the sword, we will determine the truth!" A murderous glint flashed in Omske's eyes. If there were any fools, whether human or orc, the Lagrang heavy infantry would tell them: Never! Do not block the Lagrang soldiers' way home!
