Chapter 347 Swan Knight
The war machine of the Kingdom of Lagrange was quickly put into operation under the king's orders. The mobile forces that were originally wandering across the land were all gathered together. As one of the few mobile forces in the kingdom, Roland would lead them at any time to stop those "rats" that were trying to advance westward.

“Send someone to inform Baron Badr! Order him to prepare his army to fight alongside us at any time! Oh, and tell Verwy that those barbarians are coming! Tell him to bring his people back!” Roland pondered, then finally said.

"Yes, Your Highness!" The guard pounded his chest in recognition and left.

……

"Damn it! Is this a den of orcs now? Aren't the northern humans doing anything about it? The wolf riders are practically poking our hearts!" The leading knight muttered weakly as he bandaged his bloodied arm. Beneath him was a dead dire wolf... More than a dozen wolf riders and dire wolf corpses were scattered around the open ground.

"I'm afraid they're powerless to deal with it... After all, the strongest military force in the North marched south..." The knight captain shook his head. It wasn't that they didn't want to drive away these clinging orcs, but rather that they were simply incapable of doing so...

Although news from the North is somewhat scarce, Gondor, as the strongest human kingdom in Middle-earth, still has ways to obtain information.

"That's absolutely terrible!" another knight sighed, leaning on his sword and pawing at the orc's corpse with his foot.

"It's alright! We're just escorting people, not fighting!" The knight captain waved his hand dismissively. They were just escorting people, not charging into battle. As long as they weren't surrounded by those orcs, there wouldn't be any major problems.

"Even if that doesn't work, His Highness still has teleportation scrolls, doesn't he?" the knight captain said casually, after all, the teleportation scrolls were their confidence in ignoring the orcs.

“That makes sense…” the remaining knights nodded in agreement.

"Is the wound treated?" The knight captain smiled as he looked at the knight who had just been bitten by the dire wolf.

"There's no problem, it's not a big deal! I can still fight!" The injured knight said confidently after rotating his arm to check it.

"..." No one spoke, but they all breathed a sigh of relief. It was good that they could still fight; otherwise, carrying another burden would make the road ahead very difficult.

"Um... excuse me, sir. If I were you, I would be on high alert to the north right now... something is rapidly approaching us..." The short figure pulled out a golden disc with a group of red dots moving quickly on it.

"Tsk! How convenient!" The knights marveled and quickly mounted their horses, soon raising their lances and fastening their visors.

"Awooo!" A wolf's howl made all the knights' eyes flash with a cold light.

"Damn it! They still dare to come?" One knight was incredulous as he listened to the howling of the dire wolves.

"You forgetful fools!" The wounded knight tightened his bandages, then gripped his lance and stared intently in the direction from which the wolf howls came. "Uh... they split up! Some of them are coming around from the left!" the small man exclaimed, looking at the disc.

"God! Take these bastards away!" The knights smiled bitterly, then raised their lances and charged to the left.

"Bang! Bang! Crack~" Following the impact sounds, came the chilling sound of bones breaking. Several wolf riders, along with their wolves, suffered shattered bones from the impacts with the knights, collapsing to the ground in their final, death throes...

"Are these orcs out of their minds? How dare they?" Several knights turned to look at each other with surprise and uncertainty. Logically speaking, these small wolf riders shouldn't be the type to take on heavily armored knights... Why are they so brave? The knights didn't understand, nor did they need to.

"Pfft! Pfft!" After a flurry of jabs with their lances, the wolf riders and their wolves on the ground were now being sprayed with blood, their skin hissing as they spewed out...

"Damn it! How can you guys be so perverted? You've made a mess of blood everywhere!" After dealing with the attacking orcs, the knight captain rushed over to provide support, only to find these guys frantically whipping the corpses.

"Let's pack up and get going!" the knight captain said solemnly. He had a premonition that they couldn't delay any longer, or they might not be able to leave at all. Moreover, it was said that there were Ringwraiths in the Darkwood! Although they were in the eastern open area outside the Darkwood, they were still within the Ringwraiths' attack range.

"Your Highness Jessie! We should go!" the knight called softly, startling Jessie, who was lost in thought, back to reality.

That's right! That short figure was none other than the goblin king Jessie Ava! After getting separated from Anduin River and Lance and the others, he was incredibly lucky to escape harm from the orcs. Instead, he managed to successfully make his way south to Gondor by hiding and fleeing! His adventures could easily fill a novel! The twists and turns, the exciting plot, are no less captivating than the Battle of the Five Armies!

After traveling south, Jessiava successfully infiltrated the White City and met Tergana, the Chancellor of Gondor, who was nearing the end of his reign! After Jessiava produced the contract, Tergana carefully examined it and confirmed its authenticity. Tergana, being quite generous, readily agreed to Jessiava's request. As compensation for the goblins' past sacrifices, Tergana generously gave Jessiava a million gold coins and a pile of items in exchange for the contract, thus declaring Gondor's fulfillment of its promise and the dissolution of the oath! To prevent Jessiava from encountering misfortune alone on the journey, Tergana specifically dispatched two squads of Swan Riders to escort him. As agreed, these squads would escort him north of the Iron Hills before leaving. For safety, Jessiava specifically requested that they lead him through the Lonely Mountain route, as crossing Romanian was far too dangerous.

The Swan Knights did not object, after all, the whole of Middle-earth now knew that the King of the Mountain had returned. However, along the way, these Swan Knights were very pessimistic about the situation in the north. They did not think that there was much hope for that land without the protection of a powerful kingdom. Perhaps only the dwarves were doing well, while the other intelligent races in the north were struggling to survive.

"Let's go!" This small but elite team quickly set off again, following Jessie Ava's directions to the Lonely Mountain area for supplies.

……

"Humans! Damn humans!" Not long after the Swan Knights left, a group of orc wolf riders arrived at the spot where they had just stopped. They examined their dead kin and soon began to wail in grief and anger.

"Commander, shall we pursue them or not?" a wolf rider roared, his bloodshot eyes looking terrifying, as if he wanted to devour someone.

"No! To the north! There are terrible human kingdoms! Let's go!" After thinking for a long time, the orc leader finally decided to give up. There was no other reason than that this orc had participated in several major battles with the Lonely Mountain Alliance.
