The Lord of the Rings: Lords of Middle-earth.

Chapter 575 The Dragon Riders Are Coming!

While Apophis Breo was still outmaneuvering the orcs who kept invading his territory, Omsk and his men at Lulong Fortress were already engaged in a fierce battle with the orcs. This time, unlike last time, in addition to the orcs who had come out in full force, there were also Tier 6 warriors joining the battle!
……

"Damn it! Can't we take care of that shaman?!" Omsk glared disgustedly at Bloodhammer, the orc chieftain he had just repelled. After being empowered by the totem shaman's totem pole, Bloodhammer, who had previously been too intimidating for Omsk to even face, was now able to suppress him. The crimson warhammer swung so hard that Omsk's blocking hand went numb! The terrifying impact almost made Omsk drop his shield, but he quickly responded with his longsword. After unleashing a burst of battle aura to force Bloodhammer back, Omsk slowly flew into the sky and began a standoff with Uvasa, who was hovering in the air.

"We don't have enough manpower! Come back to Omsk!" Renault's voice came. After Omsk's attack had no effect, there was no point in staying outside any longer.

Soon, Caslo, who was entangled with the two Ringwraiths, returned on his dragon. Apart from expending some battle magic, neither side suffered any losses. Overall, Reno and his group were still at a disadvantage, since Uvasa and the orc shaman had not yet made their move.

"Too tough!" Caslo shook his head with a wry smile as he flipped off the dragon's back. Akhorn had just been caught off guard by Kaldor, who used the Wind Pressure Crack Claw skill, but even that hadn't seriously injured him! Keep in mind that was wind attribute compressed to the extreme! The cutting power was comparable to a spatial blade!
"If that sixth-tier shaman can't take us down, we'll be in big trouble sooner or later." Reno frowned. The current stalemate was simply because neither side had a sure chance of defeating the other. The Ringwraiths might have reinforcements, but the Lagranges had no one to come to their aid!

While they were clashing at level six, Renault wasn't idle either. He led the Lagrange City Guards and Dovenian heavy swordsmen to block the city gates and engage the orcs in a fierce battle, successfully dampening the orcs' arrogance. A group of Lagrange brutes, adorned with auras of divine, inspiration, and retribution, directly blocked the gates and cut down the overconfident orcs. This turned the faces of the previously confident Ringwraiths and orcs green with disbelief. Their expressions were exactly the same as those of Ormske and his group when they saw a level six shaman appear. To this, Renault could only say that smiles don't disappear, they just shift!

With the Paladin's aura boost, the infantry once again seized the high ground in combat power, and the orcs' amplification advantage was almost completely negated. The orcs that had charged in were once again hammered back by the defenders. After all, a group of ordinary orc soldiers mixed with some professionals had no reason to fight against human professional soldiers even with the blessing of totems!

Especially when the Dovenian heavy swordsmen, these moving iron cans, finally crawled to the front line, the bloodiest scene of the battle erupted: the Dovenian heavy swordsmen wielding their greatswords cleaved themselves in two, weapon and all! The visual impact of being split in two was astonishing, and the blow to the morale of the orcs was unparalleled!
The overwhelming, unstoppable pressure of that single sword strike was enough to terrify any orc facing its edge! The sword, imbued with powerful battle aura, was a veritable reaper on the battlefield; the spears of the Lagrange City guards were like toothpicks in comparison…

As limbs and severed bodies flew through the air, these Dovenian heavy swordsmen, seemingly consumed by grief and rage, mechanically swung their greatswords forward like emotionless machines. The other soldiers following behind could only finish off the orcs still alive on the ground. Using these metal canisters as fulcrums, they could not find a single orc within their attack radius. Armor stained with entrails and splattered with blood was the last image of countless orcs before their deaths…

After driving the orcs out of the gate, Renault didn't get greedy. Instead, he decisively withdrew his forces and retreated back inside the gate, practically beckoning the orcs over and shouting, "Come here!"

Seeing that their pressure attack was ineffective, the Ringwraiths did not continue to send the orcs to their deaths, but instead retreated decisively. After all, they were not too willing to press forward. The Ringwraiths still vividly remembered the attack from the Dragon Tower. No one wanted to be hit by that thing. Can you guess why that thing is called the Dragon Tower?

Unlike the Black Arrow, which is designed to counter dragons and only crits against them, the Dragon Tower relies on overwhelming damage rather than countering dragons! The Magic Crystal Armor-Piercing Arrow is powerful enough to kill even a giant dragon!
The Ringwraiths wouldn't risk their lives if they didn't know how many powerful weapons the fortress still possessed; they weren't artifacts capable of withstanding those attacks on their own.

"Let's just wait and stall for time until reinforcements arrive!" Caslo shook his head, looking at the orc army that resembled a stubborn plaster, and said with distress.

"Reinforcements? Are you counting on Yunfeng or Verway? It can't be that old man Adile, can it?" Omske frowned.

"Have you forgotten someone?" Caslo's face darkened.

"Forgot who? No way? All the powerful figures in the kingdom with names and titles are here, aren't they?" Omske scratched his chin thoughtfully.

“Let me remind you… Ajax!” Caslow’s fist hardened. “Oh! Your little girlfriend! Right, right! Isn’t she playing whack-a-mole with those bastards from Dolgodo in the Dark Forest?” Omske asked curiously.

“I went to see her. The Star Elf has already taken control of the situation. I asked her to come and help here!” Caslo said, speechless.

"The problem is... where is she?" Omske looked left and right.

"...Doesn't she need to rest?" Caslo glanced at Omske speechlessly.

"Oh, oh, oh! You're starting to feel sorry for me now! I've been living a life of hardship for so many days and no one has shown me any compassion, sigh..." Omske began to mock in a sarcastic tone.

"Ouch!" Omske suddenly screamed and flew sideways, with Renault still in the extended leg position behind him.

"Huh?" Caslo stared in disbelief, making an old man's face like he was on the subway. How did he end up kicking someone while they were talking?
"Damn it! You still have the nerve to say that? You left me here to be beaten up by orcs, and you did nothing! The orc army didn't even bother to intercept us, let alone give us a warning!" Renault gritted his teeth, his teeth itching at the thought of the orc army that suddenly appeared in front of him. And this guy still had the nerve to complain?
"Ahem! We're fighting too! Okay?" Omske said confidently, though his voice sounded a little weak.

"Combat? Apart from that backstab when he came back, all he did was chop down those lone orcs and slaughter the orc wolf rider scouts, right?" Renault's words pierced through Omske's defenses.

"Pfft!" Caslo couldn't help but laugh. Judging from the current course of the war, Omsk and the Knights had indeed done the things mentioned above, and had not fulfilled the role that Roland had intended.

“Renoir’s here!” Kaldo suddenly exclaimed.

"What?" Caslo looked up at the sky.

"Boom!" A dazzling fireball streaked towards the orcs like a meteor, followed by a deafening explosion. Then, a crimson figure burst through the clouds and landed beside Caslo and his dragon. The dragon rider Ajax gave the orcs and Ringwraiths a rude awakening as soon as she appeared. Although the casualties were not great, the hasty defense left the Ringwraiths covered in dust and dirt.

"You've arrived?" Caslo gentlemanly extended his hand to help Ajax down from the dragon's back, drawing strange looks from the others (everyone: Damn, even during a battle, we get a mouthful of dog food?).

"Hmm, I was delayed a bit on the way, but I shouldn't be too late, right?" Ajax smiled and tucked her messy hair behind her ear. This gesture made Caslo's heart melt. He blushed and followed behind Ajax without saying a word, acting like a seasoned simp.
