The Lord of the Rings: Lords of Middle-earth.

Chapter 622 The Mission Heads North

"This place reeks of war!" Adrahir murmured, gazing at the vultures soaring overhead. (The Twenty-First Prince of Amros)
“A war took place here!” A knight frowned as he looked at the wreckage scattered on the ground.

"It's an orc! They've been dead for months!" the knight who went out to investigate said, shaking his head.

“It seems their war is over…” Adrahir frowned as he held up the banner of Gondor.

"There are no human corpses, so they must have won!" the knight pondered.

“The one who has time to collect the body is definitely the victor, and judging by the marks of this wound…” Adelashir raised an eyebrow.

"Such a smooth cut, a spine severed in two... this must be the work of a professional!" Adrahir casually tossed the orc's spine aside and clapped his hands.

"What do you think, Knight Commander Horfa?" Adrahil turned to look at Horfa, the very same Swan Knight who had escorted the goblin prince Jessiewa!

“They have a full-strength cavalry regiment, it must have been the regiment that did it, their infantry wouldn’t have ventured this far…” Holfa nodded.

“There are orcs around here, it seems we’re in a bit of trouble…” Adrahir frowned and looked around.

“We’ve traveled eastward from the Brown Lands through the entire Romanian region, and we haven’t encountered many orcs along the way… there shouldn’t be a large orc army nearby!” Holfa frowned.

"Hopefully, these orcs have been dead for so long, the orc army should no longer be nearby!" Adrahir consoled himself.

“Shouldn’t this be the Swift River before us?” Adrahir asked, looking at Holfa.

“Yes, after crossing the river, heading north will lead to the Kingdom of Lagrang!” Horfa nodded in affirmation to Adrahir.

“Then let’s cross the river quickly! We’ve come here on a mission!” Adrahir nodded. As the Crown Prince, he was here to personally discuss the alliance with King Roland. After all, the last time Horfa wanted to form an alliance with Lagrange, it was interrupted by various things and ended without a result. To be precise, both Roland and Horfa had forgotten about it.

This time, Adrasir was sincere in wanting to form an alliance with the Kingdom of Lagrang. His father, Angelimir, had keenly sensed the decline of human power, the growing arrogance of the orcs, the resurgence of dark and evil forces, and the loss of the kingdom's nobles' integrity amidst a life of pleasure and revelry. The worried old prince did not want the kingdom to fall, and even if the kingdom fell, he did not want his family to fall as well. Therefore, seeking external assistance was the only option.

Angelimir was unwilling to contact the nobles of Rohan, after all, they were not much better off than Gondor. The powerful nobles indulged in pleasure and debauchery, while the ambitious nobles had little influence. After much deliberation, Angelimir turned his attention back to the north...

"The Northern Cavalry!" Adrahir exclaimed, gazing at the swiftly flowing river.

"Rohan back then, Lagrange now... the reputation of the Knights of the North still lives on!" Holfa nodded and sighed.

“Let’s go, let’s see the might of the Northern warriors! Hopefully their rulers are better than those fat-headed Southern nobles!” Adrahir sighed.

……

"Whoosh!" Roland swung his dragon spear, and the sound of wind breaking through the air whistled through the air.

"Is Your Highness still practicing with a spear?" Yun Feng walked over, glanced at Roland, and asked Queen Nyx beside him.

“Yes, Roland said he wants to improve his marksmanship, since the main weapon of the Dragon Knight is the gun!” Nyx nodded.

"Okay, Your Highness, please inform him to come find me after you're done!" Yun Feng nodded, as he was still somewhat embarrassed to see Nyx.

"Is there anything important?" Nyx asked with a slight smile. "No, but I still need to report to him about routine matters!" Yun Feng shook his head, already preparing to slip away.

“Tell me, and I will pass it on! You don’t need to run back and forth; that would be too much trouble for you,” Nyx said softly. She knew Yunfeng’s contributions to the kingdom, and even though Yunfeng had once tried to overthrow her rule, she did not choose to make things difficult for Yunfeng; she was simply doing what a qualified queen should do.

“Alright, then I’ll trouble you. The towns in Palembang have been almost fully developed. I suggest diverting some of the population from Swiftstream City to fill Palembang’s population. This will allow the local area to develop faster,” Yun Feng suggested logically.

“Okay, I will tell Roland the truth! Thank you for your help.” Nyx nodded, indicating that Yunfeng could leave.

"Boom!" After Wanlong's chanting created a crater, Roland swung his dragon spear and sheathed it.

"What did Yunfeng do here just now? What happened again?" Roland took the towel handed to him by Nyx and wiped the sweat off his body. At this moment, his upper body was naked, and sweat covered his waist, abdomen and chest.

“It’s alright, the development of Palembang is basically complete! He wants to relocate people to populate Palembang!” Nyx shook his head and said.

"That's good. I thought those orc bastards would make a move again!" Roland said with a gloomy expression when he thought of the orcs.

"Orcs? They probably won't make any more moves. They'll probably need a long time to recover after the last war. Even if they're incredibly prolific, they can't conjure up tens of thousands of troops out of thin air, can they?" Nyx shook his head, not optimistic about the orcs' war potential.

“Instead of worrying about orcs, we should be more wary of liches and necromancers!” Nyx’s voice became serious.

“Thorain and Thranduil haven’t solved the root of the problem…it’s troublesome! But they’re too busy to deal with us for now.” Roland shook his head. Let the Elves and Dwarves worry about the Witch-King of Angmar; he was the direct force facing Sauron!

"Well, let's gather everyone and discuss how many people we should relocate to Palembang," Roland said, gesturing for Nyx to summon his ministers for a meeting.

“Alright, then go wash up and change your clothes. I’ll go summon the ministers!” Nyx nodded gently.

……

At this time, Renault was serving as the governor of Lulong, with Dos Anthony, Luke Leopold, and Lafitte Anthony remaining as his deputies to guard the Lulong fortress. In Palembang, Lance, as the city lord, and his commander, Valin Angus, were stationed there. Lavian was based in the town of Delvin.

At this moment, only Yun Feng, Omske, Adolf Heinrich, and Marcus were among the high-ranking officials who could be present. The others were not interested in politics and therefore did not come.

"Is everyone here?" Roland asked, looking up at Yunfeng.

“The old man didn’t come, Radil didn’t come, and the other low-ranking officers were too busy to come!” Yun Feng recited fluently, head bowed.

"Alright, let's begin!" He could understand why Adile and Radil weren't attending, so Roland shook his head and said nothing.

"What happened this time?" Marcus asked nervously. This plenary meeting always seems to be the start of trouble!
"It's nothing, just discussing the Palembang immigration issue. It's not like Soren has attacked. Relax, my city defense officer!" Roland looked at Marcus, who was sitting upright with a tense expression.

"Phew...that's good!" Marcus slumped back into his seat. To be honest, the war in the recent period had already pushed his nerves to their limits.

Haha, brothers, we've been wandering around for 14 days!
