The Bodhisattva thought secretly in his heart, he had to find an opportunity to take the little Jinpeng out in a short while, so as to prevent unreasonable disasters.

Little Jinpeng naturally didn't know what he was about to face when he was just born, but he was obviously used to the elder sister's (big brother's) palm at this moment, he let go of his vigilance, and found a comfortable position to lie down here. In the Holy Land, under the illumination of the Buddha's light, Little Jinpeng is very comfortable, and has gradually let go of his vigilance.

After this little episode, Puxian Bodhisattva explained the reason to Sanzang: "Sanzang, the poor monk heard that you were in Baoxiang Kingdom, and you took the son of Lingya Fairy into your sect, and let him enter my Buddhist gate, but you Then he overthrew his father in Shituo Ridge. I wonder if Sanzang thinks there is a hidden danger in this matter?"

The question asked by Puxian Bodhisattva is obviously very tricky. If Sanzang is a "serious" monk, the answer to this matter is naturally very simple. The elephant Buddha betrayed Buddhism, but the little elephant was shaved and escaped into Buddhism, free from the disturbance of the world of mortals.

But it happened that he was Tang Sanzang, or the Tang Sanzang who personally avenged the murder of his father. It would be inappropriate to say that again.

But in fact, Fa Hai wasn't too worried about this issue. Since he dared to save the Lingya Fairy back then, he wasn't afraid that the little elephant would cause any trouble if he found out.

And the question of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva is also very interesting.

He didn't ask Sanzang if he was afraid of trouble, but only asked if Sanzang had any hidden dangers.
"Amitabha." Fahai chanted the Buddha's name as usual, and then replied: "The Bodhisattva's name is Daxing, you should only do what you say, and do what you do. Since the poor monk made great wishes to cut karma and protect life, he should not care about human feelings. There are Tianpeng, Kui Mulang, Huang Feng, Hong Haier, etc., and later there is the King of Inspiration and the Yellow-browed Boy. As for the karma of all crimes, they have already returned to themselves. The Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha said: I will not go to hell, whoever will go to hell ?”

"Little monk, I dare to say that my body is hell, and I can bear thousands of sins in the Three Realms. Even if I sink into eternal death after death, I will not be reborn, and I will have no complaints or regrets."

There are naturally hidden dangers.

Mistakes must be corrected, responsibilities must be pursued, crimes must be punished.

No one in the entire Lingshan dared to ignore Sanzang's determination, and no one dared to deny it. But at this moment when he really heard what he said, he still couldn't help being shocked.

Especially Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, who has always been close to Sanzang, can only sigh with emotion after hearing this: It is worthy of Sanzang!
Sanzang and himself seem to have entered two extremes.

Bodhisattvas sometimes look angry, but they still have a compassionate heart after all. Sanzang is the other way around, he only has kindness towards the good, and as always hates evil as hatred.

But he acted convincingly, because his demands on himself would only be stricter.

If it wasn't for Sanzang cutting karma to protect life and violating the precept of killing, the Bodhisattva even thought that he could be in charge of Vinaya.
Of course, Sanzang has repeatedly stated that he does not want to become a Buddha. I am afraid that even the Lord of Lingshan cannot change his mind, let alone the leader of the Vinaya School.

But the Bodhisattva had a plan in his heart that he didn't say. If Sanzang were to take over the Lingshan Discipline Academy, I'm afraid he would really struggle a bit.

After hearing what Sanzang said, Samantabhadra put his palms together and said to the Buddha above, "My Buddha is merciful. I will take my leave before the matter of the poor monk in Beizhou is settled."

After Puxian Bodhisattva finished speaking, he stepped out of the door without waiting for the Buddha's consent, and then heard the sound of an elephant chanting. Everyone saw a white elephant stepping into the air, picked up Bodhisattva Bodhisattva, and went to the east.

Puxian Bodhisattva is a person who does practical things. If Sanzang was not going to Lingshan this time, he would not even plan to come back.

Anyway, he is not very familiar with the Buddhas of Lingshan. Whether it is a Taoist friend of the original Western religion, or the three thousand mortals who were converted by the two Western leaders. He has never had any friendship.

His mission in Lingshan is to study Mahayana Buddhism and practice it in the human world.After all, Mahayana Buddhism is not something that can be done just by figuring it out, and it is a very important link of practice and verification.

Another one is that the Buddha's attitude towards the two Bodhisattvas, Avalokitesvara and Samantabhadra, is not that he regards the two Bodhisattvas as his subordinates, but rather as fellow-walkers. Even though they never died in the battle of the Conferred Gods.

I am afraid that the ancient lamp-burning Buddha and Maitreya Buddha who are nominally side by side with the Buddha are far from being treated like this.

This may be sympathy.

With the conduct of these two Bodhisattvas, not to mention being in Buddhism, who can not admire them even if they look at the Three Realms?
Thinking of this, Fahai thinks that his practice is far from enough, and there is still a long way to go.

It is said that Puxian Bodhisattva left Lingshan, but did not go north immediately on a white elephant, but appeared in Baoxiang Kingdom.

Today's Baoxiang Kingdom is getting more and more prosperous, especially after forming an alliance with Datang, the weather changes almost every day.

Coupled with the alliance of Baoxiang, Wuji, and Chechi, the national strength can be described as rapid with the transfer of resources.

After the old abbot passed away, Xiaoxiang has officially become the abbot and elder of Baoxiangguo Temple. In fact, not to mention his status as a disciple of the Tripitaka, but only with his own realm of Buddhism, he can definitely afford this position in Baoxiangguo.

He is no longer the ignorant little elephant who could say "I don't even understand the Buddhist scriptures, how could I understand the Taoist scriptures".

It's just that he himself thinks that he is not worthy of the name. After all, the object of comparison is his master-Tang Sanzang.

A few years ago, the golden body of the elephant Buddha in the temple, which had never been cut off from the incense, suddenly gave birth to a spirit, who was inspired by something, hovered over the Baoxiang Kingdom for a few weeks, and after attracting all the subjects of the kingdom to pay homage, then Turn into the Buddha's light and go away.

At first, the king and the little elephant thought it was a sign of bad luck for the country, otherwise why would the spirit of the elephant abandon the temple?

Later, a great immortal called Jin Guangxian made a special trip to look for it, and said: "The original shape of this spirit tooth elephant Buddha is the white elephant spirit tooth fairy who is under the command of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva. On the one hand, after harming the common people, he met Master Sanzang, was inspired by Master Sanzang, and realized his own sinful karma, suddenly awakened, so he turned away."

The king and the little elephant knew very well that this White Elephant Spirit Tooth Fairy was the little elephant's father.

After the elephant thanked Jin Guangxian for the message, he meditated for seven days in front of the Buddha statue of Lingya Elephant Buddha.

After leaving the temple, I saw Wuzhen and enlightenment.

"Thank you two junior brothers for your concern." Before the two junior brothers could open their mouths, Xiao Xiang knew what they were going to say. After all, their fathers were also saved by the master. , although he has become a monk, but he can't leave the world of mortals and now it's difficult to go to Shituoling, so he had to read the Sutra of Transcendence for seven days in front of this image."

The master did not kill them all, nor did he treat the two juniors harshly because they were the sons of Kui Mulang.

When the little elephants first learned about this matter, they were more or less incomprehensible, but they undoubtedly admired their open-mindedness.

Now I have experienced similar things, but I find that some things seem to be unable to truly empathize. If there is no grudge in my heart, Xiaoxiang thinks that he is too hypocritical.

But if he said that he hated his master because of this, it seems that it is far from that.

The little elephant is very clear about what Master does.

Just like when I first met my master, I didn't try to save him just because he was a "demon spirit". Conversely, my master didn't show mercy just because Kui Mulang came down from the sky.

In short, the little elephant was still caught in a tangle, and he was a little confused for a while. But he was not discouraged because of this, because the master taught that if you can't think clearly, you should let it go for the time being, and there will always be a time when the clouds clear and the mist clears .

But if you put things in your heart, it will become an obsession in the end. Some things that could have been resolved, but in the end you will find that you have entered a dead end. When you want to turn around, you will find that there is no way out.

As for the Buddha's words: the sea of ​​suffering is boundless, and the shore is right when you turn back.

Master seems to disagree with this sentence all the time, what exactly is the sea of ​​suffering?

Where is the shore that I see when I look back?
Even the master didn't quite understand this matter, so the little elephant naturally wouldn't embarrass himself.

On this day, he was chanting scriptures in the temple.

Suddenly, someone shouted outside the temple: "Puxian Bodhisattva has manifested—"

After that, the little elephant felt a kind and familiar atmosphere, stepped out of the Zen room, and asked Samantabhadra to fall into the courtyard, and behind the Bodhisattva was a white elephant with spirit teeth.

"Father?!"

The little elephant showed a look of surprise, and saw the Bodhisattva in front of him, so he hurriedly paid him a visit: "My disciple has realized the appearance, and I have seen the Bodhisattva."

"Amitabha." Puxian Bodhisattva took out a book and a letter from his bosom, and handed it to the little elephant: "This is your father's relic. The book is his original practice method, and this letter, It should be left by your father before Taoism."

The little elephant stepped forward to take his father's belongings, but he didn't open it right away. Instead, he made a Buddhist salute to the Bodhisattva and said, "Father's illegitimate disciple is here, and I ask the Bodhisattva to forgive me."

"The poor monk knew about this. Your father was originally the Great Immortal of Jiejiao. He calculated that he would encounter a catastrophe 200 years ago. In order to be able to cope with the catastrophe with peace of mind, he went down to earth and gave birth to a son. This son is you. Then In order to let you get rid of the demon body, in the name of Lingya Elephant Buddha, I will help the ancestors of the Baoxiang Kingdom to establish a country, and then seal you in the golden body, enjoy the fireworks in the world, and get the righteous fruit." After Puxian Bodhisattva said this, he briefly After a pause, he looked at the elephant, "Do you know about this?"

"Reporting to the Bodhisattva, apart from the fact that my father calculated the calamity and he came down to earth to give birth to me in order to cope with the calamity with peace of mind. The disciples all know the rest." After more than ten years of practice, the little elephant is no longer the reckless little demon of the past, but he Still boldly asked the Bodhisattva, "I don't know Bodhisattva, what kind of catastrophe is it?"

"Your master Tang Sanzang takes scriptures from the west." Puxian Bodhisattva did not hide anything, and directly told the little elephant, "This calamity goes up to the gods and Buddhas, down to demons, ghosts, your master and his party, and even many creatures along the way. Among them. As for your father, there was a fellow Taoist who was called Qiushouxian, who later became the mount of Manjushri Bodhisattva. Because of his lack of determination and disordered spirit, he was originally a person in the catastrophe, and now he has contracted madness. Your father Knowing that he could not escape the calamity of death, and for the sake of the loyalty of the whole brother, they entered the calamity together and became demons in the lower realm of Shituoling together."

"Did my father harm anyone when he was in Shituoling?"

Samantabhadra Bodhisattva did not expect the little elephant to ask this question first, but he answered patiently: "Although your father has never harmed anyone himself, the [-] demons he has sheltered will never harm anyone."

"Amitabha." The little elephant recited the Buddha's name, and asked again: "The Bodhisattva said that my father is Taoist. Isn't he being saved by my master?"

"If you listen to the words of the poor monk, it is better to let you see it with your own eyes." Puxian Bodhisattva pointed at the white elephant behind him, and saw a clear light blooming, and the clear light circled on the altar of the white elephant. He waved and said, "Come closer."

The little elephant stepped forward according to his words.

Then the clear light poured into his altar—

After that, the little elephant saw that his father failed in the fight with his master and was captured by the master.

"I lost, I want to kill or cut, it's up to you."

"It's done, even if you don't succeed, you have no regrets"

"The Buddhas and Bodhisattvas in Lingshan need these monsters to cause chaos in the world. Only in this way can there be living beings offering incense."

"So there are only three great masters in the Three Realms."

"Although I have no regrets, there are two things I feel guilty about"

"One is the creatures who lost their lives in this Shituoling, whether they were monster races or human races. If I can restrain them instead of letting them go, it may not be the current situation."

"Secondly, my youngest son, who was born secretly, heard that he worshiped under the mage. I just hope that he will not be divorced from the mage because of this matter. After all, he is young. If something happens because of my matter, I ask the mage to look forward to it."

"This whole body of sinful karma is here. Since it has fallen into the hands of the mage, I don't want to live. Dare to give the Buddha's flame to refine my original mind, Amitabha!"

These are all the words his father said before he entered the Buddha Flame, and they are constantly circulating in the little elephant's mind at this moment, especially those two shameful things. It turns out that his father still misses him, and he is even afraid that he will be separated from his master because of this.

The little elephant watched his father step into the Buddha flame calmly, with no resistance on his face, but a look of relief. He could probably understand his father's state of mind at that time.

The Great Sun Buddha Flame Elephant naturally knows what kind of supernatural power this is. Kui Mulang, the father of Wuzhen and Wuxing, was saved by the Buddha Flame. But why does the Bodhisattva say it is Taoism?

Could it be that.
After all, Little Elephant knows that if he can withstand the effect of the Great Sun Buddha Flame to refine his mind, he will get a pure soul.
But the little elephant, who knew the result, still couldn't help becoming nervous at this moment, secretly cheering for his father in his heart, hoping that his father could survive this catastrophe.

Karma is constantly being burned.

And the father's soul, under the Buddha flame, became weaker and weaker, crumbling, almost dissipated.

The little elephant's heart couldn't help but get stuck in one place.

Seeing that his father's true spirit was about to collapse, he saw a Buddha's light, which seemed to come from the east——
