Fahai travels through Tang Sanzang

Chapter 450 The poor monk wants to establish the Weishi sect;
Speaking of the true fruit of Buddhism in Lingshan, many Buddhist believers in the world may not be able to resist its temptation.

But for Sanzang master and apprentice, it is true that they are not taken seriously.

After hearing what the Buddha said, Ba Jie laughed immediately and said: "Buddha, what is the use of this great job to the disciples? It is better to take care of the three 500-year fasting meals of the disciples."

After hearing this, the Buddha immediately ignored the idiot.

If we talk about three to five years, the Buddha didn't even blink his eyes. But the Bajie lion opened his mouth wide, and he opened his mouth for three to five hundred years of fasting. I'm afraid it is not a small burden for Lingshan.

The main reason is that Bajie's belly is like a bottomless pit, when it is almost not filled, its appetite is not much less than that of the ancient fierce beast gluttonous.

Not only the Buddha, but also the monks in the temple are all accomplished in practice, otherwise they would almost laugh out loud. But even so, there were a few who couldn't help but lower their heads, and their shoulders trembled from time to time.

In the past, the great sage who always laughed at Ba Jie for "knowing how to eat", but now he didn't speak. When he saw that the Buddha didn't answer, he wanted to mock the Buddha for being "stingy".

But when he was about to speak, he caught a glimpse of the master at the side and held back his words. There were a lot of troubles caused today, so there is no need to use this tongue.

Then the Buddha asked Wujing and Xiaobailong whether they would accept the promotion from Lingshan, and the answer was not unexpected. Neither the master nor the senior brother agreed, so naturally the two of them would not accept it.

Besides, they didn't worship Buddhism for the sake of this great job.

In fact, their master and apprentice discussed this matter in private, and Fa Hai even persuaded these disciples that they don't have to imitate him, and it's okay to be promoted by the Spirit Mountain.

After all, whether a practitioner is "made up" or not, his status is quite different in the Three Realms.

Of course, for the current Fahai, whether he has such a great job or not has no great impact on his status in the Three Realms because he wants to establish his own family.

"The poor monk wants to establish the Consciousness-only sect."

The Buddha and the Bodhisattva had expected it when the Tripitaka argued with the monks in Lingshan with the "true only knowledge".Hearing Sanzang's words at this moment confirmed what he thought in his heart, but he was not too surprised.

Although the monks heard it and caused a little commotion, everyone soon understood that they even thought it was a good thing.

Sanzang didn't become a Buddha, he didn't even want to stay in Lingshan, and now he wants to establish the Consciousness-Wei School. Doesn't it mean that they won't have much to do with this great monk in the future?

Isn't this a great thing?
After all, for the monks in Lingshan, facing Tripitaka was quite stressful and uncomfortable.

Some Buddhists are even ready, if the Buddha disagrees for a while, they will stand up and persuade them, maybe they will still form a good relationship with Master Sanzang.

Sanzang has long been known as a master, and when he discussed the Dharma just now, although what he said "all dharmas are only consciousness" has absorbed the essence of Yoga, but with the level of the monks in Lingshan, it is natural to hear that the Dharma of the other party has formed a school of its own.

Now that I brought it up in front of the Buddha, I'm afraid it's not asking for instructions at all. To put it bluntly, it's more like telling Lingshan.

Because everyone is also very clear that regardless of whether Lingshan agrees or not, Master Sanzang will inevitably establish the Consciousness-only School.

Since it is something that everyone knows well, the Buddha will naturally not make things difficult again, but just sighed: "Actually, I wanted to pass on the position of the Lord of Lingshan to you."

The atmosphere in the hall froze again.

All the monks took a deep breath and looked at Master Sanzang's expression. Although there had been rumors of this matter in private, it seemed that the Buddha had expressed his intentions in public for the first time.

But everyone saw Master Sanzang's expression of not being surprised, and clasped his hands together: "Amitabha, I would like to thank the Buddha for his love, but my virtue is shallow, how can I convince the crowd?"

"This trip to Deling Mountain, and the scriptures obtained and sent to the Tang Dynasty can't be anticlimactic." Fahai performed a Buddhist salute to the Buddha, and said: "The poor monk wants to set up the Confucianism Sect Daoist Temple in Chang'an Ci'en Temple of the Tang Dynasty, and personally go to the temple. The Eastern Land spreads the Buddhadharma."

The reason why Fa Hai wants to pass on the scriptures himself is actually because he is afraid that these scriptures will be misinterpreted without his interpretation.

Even if he had left scripture notes before, those with ulterior motives must be guarded against.

Sure enough, even the position of Lord of Lingshan could not keep Dharma Master Sanzang.

Guanyin Bodhisattva admired Sanzang's ambition more and more, but he still asked: "Sanzang, it may be extremely difficult to establish a Buddhist sect with only you."

Fa Hai swung his cassock, stretched out his hand, and directed everyone's attention to Wukong and the others, saying: "The poor monk has disciples here, who can protect the Dharma and preach."

Guanyin Bodhisattva smiled when he heard the words, "Since this is the case, the poor monk wants to test their Dharma."

coming!

The big one is coming!

The few people who knew the inside story, such as Da Ri Tathagata and Mu Zha, sat upright for a while, and continued to do psychological construction.

The Peacock Daming King next to Da Ri Tathagata and Jin Zha next to Mu Zha felt more and more strange. After all, the two of them had given warnings before, and it should not be aimless, so they secretly kept a little vigilance in their hearts.

Most of the monks present would think that the biggest event had come to an end when the Great Sun Tathagata used the "Dainichi Buddha Flame" to save the eight Buddhas.

Seeing that the Bodhisattva was going to examine the tooth relics of several disciples of Master Tripitaka at this moment, they naturally all had the mentality of watching the excitement.

The Buddhist monks don't know the depth of these disciples' Dharma realm, but their magical powers are unquestionable. Even the magical power of Bajie can rank in the forefront among all the Bodhisattvas in the temple. Even if they are with some ordinary Compared with the Buddhists, they are not far behind.

Like the great sage and Sha Wujing, who had never been seen before, the monks boldly guessed that their mana might have already surpassed the ordinary.

It can be seen that since they worshiped Sanzang, they have never slackened in their practice.

But relatively speaking, since they have such attainments in the practice of Dharma, they naturally don't have enough time to realize it in the realm of Dharma. Besides, they are all monks halfway, even if they are transformed by the obsession of the Buddhist scriptures of Wujing IX. It was also after being purified by Tripitaka and worshiping him as a teacher that he began to practice Buddhism.

Is it going to be revealed this time?

Bodhisattva first looked at Xiaobailong. She knew that Xiaobailong was the one with the shallowest understanding of Buddhism among them. Such a rapid entry.

Little White Dragon did not show any timidity, seeing the Bodhisattva looking at him, he went out first, bowed to the Bodhisattva, and said: "The aptitude of this disciple is ordinary, although he has read a lot of Buddhist scriptures under the teacher's door, but he has not cultivated a single one intensively. , Bodhisattva, please don’t embarrass disciples too much.”

"Third Prince, don't underestimate yourself." The Bodhisattva smiled and said, "Since you are under the Sanzang School, you have studied a lot of Buddhist scriptures. I, as a Buddhist monk, study the scriptures. I don't know which scriptures you have read all at once?"

Little White Dragon bowed his head and said: "I am not talented, but I have only studied the four volumes of Theravada Buddhist scriptures, the "Long Agama Sutra", "Middle Agama Sutra", "Zengyi Agama Sutra" and "Miscellaneous Agama Sutra". I have read the "Maha Prajna Sutra", "Shurangama Sutra", "Huayan Sutra", "Great Nirvana Sutra", etc. Master has not studied the 35 Mahayana essentials from Lingshan. In addition, it is created by Master. Only Consciousness of the Dharma'."

Enough already!
You can stop talking!

Sure enough, you kid is not honest.

Among the monks in Lingshan, many monks looked solemn, especially some arhats, because the scriptures they had read were not as good as that of Xiaobailong.

Now I can only pray that Xiao Bailong has simply recited it, and has not really comprehended the meaning. But is this possible?
His master is Tang Sanzang!

Just looking at Sanzang's rigorous attitude towards Buddhism, it is absolutely impossible for his disciples to swallow jujube without seeking a deep understanding.Xiao Bailong dared to say the names of these scriptures at this moment, because he was not afraid of the Bodhisattva asking questions for the school.

Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva also has very high insights in Hinayana Buddhism, so he summarized several core topics from the four Hinayana classics.

Xiao Bailong responded one by one, and all of them were correct solutions.

The Bodhisattva nodded secretly after hearing this. Xiao Bailong's answer may not be a "standard answer", but it is definitely his own understanding of Buddhism, and he did not go astray.

I'm afraid this is also the result of Tripitaka's precepts and deeds, and it's not just a superficial understanding.

Guanyin Bodhisattva did not intend to continue to examine the Mahayana Buddhist scriptures with Xiaobailong, but just asked one more question: "What do you think is the most important thing about the Hinayana?"

Xiao Bailong thought for a while, and said: "If there are any mistakes in the words of the disciple's family, please let the Bodhisattva correct the disciple. One of them lies in the Four Noble Truths. Second, all actions are impermanent, not just talk about impermanence; all dharmas are impermanent, not just talk about selflessness; Nirvana is quiet, first understand the true meaning of Nirvana. The three dharma seals stand together, and one is indispensable."

"Great!"

The Bodhisattva immediately looked at the little white dragon with admiration, and said, "If you specialize in the Hinayana, you must have attained Arhatship."

Xiao Bailong clasped his palms together and bowed to the Bodhisattva, very modestly: "I still have a long way to go."

With Little White Dragon opening the scene, the monks knew that it was impossible to watch other people's excitement.

Although the Bodhisattva didn't test Xiaobailong's Mahayana Dharma, the monks knew very well. Just based on Xiaobailong's understanding of Hinayana Dharma just now, it is enough to gain a foothold in Lingshan.

Lingshan does not actually prohibit monks from practicing Hinayana Buddhism, but the vast majority of monks who practice Hinayana practice Mahayana Buddhism naturally after Tathagata Buddha took charge of Lingshan.

After all, to practice the Hinayana, one must cross oneself first. The Lord of Lingshan is a practitioner of Mahayana Buddhism. If they don't respond positively, how can they cross themselves?

After Xiaobailong, it was Wujing's turn.

If Xiao Bailong made them let go of their contempt, Wu Jing really opened their eyes
"Why doesn't the Bodhisattva ask?"

"Which scriptures are you good at?" Bodhisattva knew that Wujing was extraordinary, but asked as usual.

Wujing thought for a while and said, "It's all okay."

Monks:?
"Be more specific."

Then Wu Jing spoke a few words, including Mahayana, Hinayana, Tantric Vinaya, what you have heard, and what you haven’t heard. In the end, he even listed Taoist scriptures, Confucian classics, and even legalist classics. few.

The monks were naturally amazed, and what shocked them even more was that Wujing really did not lie. The Bodhisattva and him were no longer an examination, but more like two eminent monks debating Buddhism and Dharma.

Guanyin Bodhisattva can definitely be regarded as a great Bodhisattva with profound Dharma. Even so, it seems that there are not as many scriptures as this Sha Wujing has practiced.

It really deserves to be transformed by the obsession of the scripture learners of the ninth generation. This obsession with the scriptures alone is not comparable to them.

Just being a bodhisattva alone, Wujing seems to be not enough. After all, he was already eager to try when his master debated scriptures with all the Buddhas before, and then he finally had a chance to discuss Buddhism outside the hall, but the medicine master and the seven Buddhas didn't talk about it. Wu De, he had no choice but to make a move
Now, taking advantage of the Bodhisattva's start, Wujing will naturally have a good time.

But everyone gained a lot of wisdom, and saw that Sha Wujing's Buddhist realm was really different from ordinary people's profound, so they didn't accept the trick at all. After all, losing in the hands of Master Sanzang was justified.

But if they were defeated by Sha Wujing, they would not have to travel in the Three Realms in the future.

That is to say, Wujing didn't speculate on their thoughts, otherwise he would have to say something: Have you traveled in the Three Realms before?

All in all, Wujing had his best time this time, so he didn't force it any more. Besides, with the level of these monks, he might not be able to argue with himself for a few rounds, but it would be tantalizing.

Wujing felt relieved.

But Bajie is about to suffer. If you talk about the scene that Xiao Bailong opened just now, Bajie can barely handle it.

But now Wujing has been raised so much all at once, but it still makes Bajie mutter in his heart, thinking: What should my old pig do now?
But he has always been lenient, and he was just a little worried, so he put the matter behind him. He was not afraid of showing his shortcomings, anyway, his level was at this level, and there was nothing he would dare to show people.

But when the Bodhisattva asked what sutras he was good at, Bajie suddenly blessed his heart and said, "The Sutra of the Precious Elephant."

The monks were taken aback for a moment when they heard it, and they all thought in their hearts: Does my Buddhist school still have this Buddhist scripture?
Why haven't I heard of it before?
But the Bodhisattva, who knew the details, couldn't help but cursed with a smile: "Bajie, don't be silly. Huh?"

But the Bodhisattva stopped in the middle of his speech, turned around and said to the Buddha: "Buddha, the Enlightenment Appearance of the Baoxiang Kingdom seems to have the appearance of a book."

The face of the first Buddha did not change, and he said to Ba Jie: "In this case, let me recite the Buddhist scriptures."

Master has read the "Baoxiang Buddhist Sutra" back then. Although it is not a real Buddhist scripture, Master has carefully interpreted it, and made deletions and revisions of some dross and outdated parts in the scriptures. The final revision has been kept in Baoxiang Buddhist Temple.

Although Ba Jie is lazy, his comprehension and memory are not bad. This scripture, which is not considered a Buddhist scripture, is too special, and it has always been remembered in Ba Jie's heart, but unexpectedly it can be used here.

Since the Buddha asked him to recite it, Bajie naturally obeyed, and immediately meditated on the ground, thinking: This should be used to warm up the scene for Brother Hou.

Then start chanting.
