Fahai travels through Tang Sanzang

Chapter 704: Compassion is the biggest misunderstanding that sentient beings in the three realms hav

The monsters in the Liangshan River are not monsters as the creatures of the three realms think.

They are not even demons, they can only be called ferocious beasts.

Such ferocious beasts have always only existed in Beiju Luzhou, and they rarely appear in other places.

But now that he has appeared in the Liangshan River, and has not shown any signs of his whereabouts before, it is difficult for Li Chunfeng not to pay attention to this matter.

Four of the six ferocious beasts died. Only the two that Zen Master Bajie carried ashore were still breathing and showed no signs of completely losing their lives. Zen Master Bajie was indeed a Buddhist. Even if he did not abstain from killing, he would still show compassion. .

Just when Li Chunfeng thought so, he heard Zen Master Bajie say: "Sure enough, it is right to keep them alive. When he first entered the water, the poor monk realized that they were not ordinary monsters. Unexpectedly, they came from the north. The ferocious beast of Ju Luzhou.”

As he spoke, Bajie looked at Li Chunfeng, "It's just that these ferocious beasts have no intelligence, and I'm afraid they can't communicate whether Daoist Li has soul-searching skills. Let's see who brought them here."

As soon as these words came out, even the two young men who had just landed on the shore subconsciously took a step back. They said that the disciples of Tripitaka were not ordinary monks. Now it seems that those who can say such words are really compassionate. A monk?

On the other hand, San Sheng Sheng had heard a lot about Master Sanzang and his disciples from her second brother. Although she was not too surprised to hear what Zen Master Wu Neng said, she was still a little curious. The most ordinary Zen Master Wu Neng back then, Now it seems that he is also a ruthless character. He is definitely not a cook who is only responsible for three meals a day for the team as rumored.

Perhaps it was the radiance of Tripitaka and the Great Sage that made Zen Master Wu Neng look very ordinary.

San Sheng Sheng has also met Zen Master Wu Neng a few times, but to be honest, he has always felt very kind to her, and he does not seem to be a dangerous person at all. But now it seems that he is really a person beyond appearances.

But regarding this point, the goblins on the westbound journey must have shouted that it is impossible. Zhu Bajie, who looks more like a goblin than a goblin, even shouts "goblin" when he sees a goblin. Do you think he is very kind?

I'm afraid this is not just a matter of blindness, but a blind man at all, right?

But I'm afraid only those who know San Sheng Sheng know that she has always been able to look directly into the other person's heart, so she can often ignore the other person's appearance. It's just this ability that often makes San Sheng Sheng look at others when they get along with them. She feels very tired, so in many cases, the Third Holy Mother will deliberately restrain this ability.

Although this would occasionally cause her to be fooled, it was still a small way to relieve fatigue in her long life.

And with more people seeing her, even without the ability to see through the soul, the Third Holy Mother can always distinguish the good and evil of the other party very keenly.

In fact, the creatures in the three realms are usually relatively easy to distinguish in this regard. But there are no exceptions. There are often people with vicious faces who are considered evil people, while those with kind faces are considered good people. But in reality, the opposite may often be true.

Of course, San Sheng Sheng also suffered from this in the beginning, but later she gained a good memory and was able to discern the other person's character from their speech and behavior.

Regarding this point, her disciple Li Zhenying was also very puzzled at first and didn't understand why her master, who clearly had the ability to see through the other person's heart, had to seal this ability away and do such a thankless thing.

The Third Holy Mother said this, "Actually, for many things, being able to see through a person's heart is not a good thing. There is an old saying in the world that it is rare to be confused."

"You are still young now, so you may not be able to understand the true meaning of it. When you live for hundreds or thousands of years like a teacher, you may have a different understanding."

Speaking of this, the Third Holy Mother also reminded Li Zhenying: "It is a thousand years in the world."

Li Zhenying is ignorant. Obviously, at her age, she cannot reach this level. And with her temperament even worse than that of her brother Nezha, it is rare for her to be confused. It would be better to kill her directly. .

But even Nezha, after more than a thousand years of hard work, has still regained his former character.

As for why he still shows his unsteady side occasionally, in Yang Jian's words, it is that for more than a thousand years, Nezha's life was not practical, because for a long time during this period, he spent time in heaven. Yes, the heaven is in the heaven, and one day in the sky is one year in the mortal world. It is really hard to calculate how old Nezha is.

However, although there is such a huge difference in the flow of time between heaven and earth, for practitioners, it is not a big advantage to practice in the human world.

Because the spiritual energy in the heaven is much richer than the human world. Even in some cave heavens, the results of one year of practice may not be as good as the results of one day of practice in heaven.

The reason why the monks' cave dojos are all in the lower realm is because for them, the need for the spiritual energy of heaven and earth is no longer so important. Instead, time is more important, because "enlightenment" does not happen overnight.

Regarding the understanding of Taoism, one year of practicing in the human world may not feel much different from one day of practicing in heaven. However, if it is a hundred days in heaven and a hundred years in the mortal world, it will be a hundred years of Taoism. gap.

If a thousand years in the mortal world were converted into a thousand days in heaven, it would be only three years and a few months. A thousand years of Taoism, the level of one's realm during this period cannot be compensated by magic power.

On the other hand, if a person's Taoist realm is advanced, he can feed back the magic power.

Just like Fahai, it was only by relying on his two lives of Buddhist practice that he could gather such powerful magic power in just a dozen years, as deep as the sea and the abyss.

On the contrary, just like a monk who has powerful magic power but does not have the corresponding Taoism and realm to control these magic powers, he will not be able to exert the expected effect of these magic powers.

"The soul-searching technique is a forbidden technique." Li Chunfeng listened to Bajie's words, but he answered the question incorrectly, "Did Zen Master also use the soul-searching technique on demons when he traveled west?"

"No." Bajie shook his head.

When everyone saw this, they breathed a sigh of relief and said that their path should not be so wild.

But then I heard Zen Master Wu Neng say, "Because the poor monk is not good at studying, the master has always prohibited the poor monk from practicing such dangerous spells that touch the soul. Therefore, whenever it is necessary to use the soul-searching technique, It is Junior Brother Sha or Senior Brother who performs it, and sometimes Master himself can perform it."

Everyone:.

Sure enough, compassion is the biggest misunderstanding that sentient beings in the three realms have about Tripitaka and his disciples, right?

Seeing this scene, it is not impossible for them to understand that the reputation of Master Tripitaka and his disciples in the Three Realms is polarized.

There is such a group of alien masters and disciples in Buddhism. The Buddhas and Bodhisattvas in Lingshan must be very troubled by this, right?

"Amitabha." Bajie clasped his hands together, "Master often says that compassion cannot save sentient beings in the three realms. We monks will give compassion to the good ones. For those evil ones, we should use thunder to get rid of them, so that the three realms can be restored to purity. and in answer to the prayers of those who are good.”

The Third Holy Mother on the side heard this and felt something in her heart, "My father also said to me, repaying evil with kindness, can you repay kindness? Repaying evil with straightness, repaying kindness with kindness, maybe, the two are the same."

Yang Tianyou is now a great scholar who governs Gongyang.

And he has opened a school at Guanjiangkou and started teaching his disciples. The Third Holy Mother will occasionally attend.

In fact, the Third Holy Mother is not entirely a disciple of Taoism. Although she has been taught by Master Taiyi and Master Yuding, she has not officially become a disciple of Yuxu. Because she is in charge of the lotus lantern, she is more often regarded as He is the descendant of the Wa Palace.

But the Third Holy Mother herself is more interested in the knowledge of the human race itself.

At the Notre Dame Temple in Huashan, she also often studied the works of some human ancestors, most of which were Confucian classics.

In today's Three Realms, under the influence of the Jade Emperor, the trend of "unification of the three religions" has gradually emerged, which is even more convenient for monks like the Three Holy Mothers.

All in all, Zen Master Wu Neng's stance can make everyone present feel less worried.

After all, if they are fighting life and death here, a monk next to them always talks about compassion, which is quite disturbing. If you have the ability to tell those monsters, if the monsters don't hurt people and do evil, why not? As for them coming to slay demons?

Are they inherently willing to get their hands stained with blood?

Therefore, why is it said that Master Tripitaka is an eminent monk who surpasses ordinary monks, and is even called a divine monk or a holy monk by all living beings in the three realms?

It’s not that Master Tripitaka wouldn’t stop them from killing animals because they encountered such a thing. It’s that while Master Tripitaka stopped them from killing animals, he would take action to save the demons himself and bear the sin of killing lives on himself.

This may be the true compassion of Buddhism.

However, this concept seems too advanced to be recognized by the majority of Buddhist channels. Therefore, the reputation of Tripitaka Buddha within Buddhism has always been mixed.

This is especially true for those monks who rely on superficial compassion to achieve the status of "Bodhisattva" and "Buddha".

On the contrary, those Arhats and monks who were not considered to have obtained the "Great Fruition" or the "Zhengguo" were more willing to follow Master Tripitaka. Those monks who followed him from Lingshan all the way to the Tang Dynasty were also these monks.

Even on the opening day of Daci'en Temple, several Bodhisattvas and Buddhists who had good personal relationships with Tripitaka's masters and disciples came to watch the ceremony and congratulate them, but none of the other Bodhisattvas and Buddhas were present.

Of course, there is also a reason why Tripitaka's master and disciples did not send them invitations. Even if the Daci'en Temple issued a statement that "the visitors are guests", these Bodhisattvas and Buddhists would not post it themselves to build momentum for Tripitaka.

Under the influence of Sanzang Buddha, his disciples certainly share the same thoughts as him.

Sins are absolutely unforgivable. As for reforming, it is not impossible. The premise is that the other party's sins are not worthy of death. Otherwise, there is no need to discuss anything, and the only way is to be completely saved.

It was like the group of robbers Fahai met when he rescued the Great Sage from the foot of Wuzhi Mountain and stayed overnight at a fellow villager's house at the foot of the mountain. The Great Sage was a little afraid at first because he had committed a killing, which would arouse the dissatisfaction of the Master. But later Only then did I realize that my behavior and state of mind were still a bit conservative compared to my master.

In the eyes of the master, those robbers who were beaten to death by him deserved it. Then the master asked him to control his strength. It was not to prevent him from killing, but because he was worried that he would accidentally injure good people. The final result would be that the robbers had their legs broken. Then he was pushed to the Yamen on a flatbed truck by a robber who had just joined the gang and had not yet had time to turn bad. He surrendered.

The reason why the other party did this was because the master used Buddhist teachings to influence the other party's mind.

Therefore, using some methods against these evil-doing people is not a taboo in the eyes of Master Sanzang and they are not worthy of sympathy at all.

Master even said some extreme words, "It is actually not easy to distinguish between good and evil among demons, and it is often a waste of effort. The most rational approach is to eliminate all demons in the three realms." "

Only dead monsters are good monsters.

However, this kind of statement was vetoed by the master himself, "But this kind of idea is not advisable. It is tantamount to entering the magic world. You must be more careful."

However, the master turned around and said something else, "What if I just said what if, if I could really clean up all the demons in the three realms, and the price is that I would become a demon, would this be feasible?"

While the Great Sage was still shocked by Master's words, Bajie suddenly said: "If Master becomes a demon, it will definitely be more troublesome to deal with than those demons."

"Amitabha." Fa Hai put his hands together and recited the Buddha's name.

Obviously he also agreed with Bajie's words. After all, no one knew better than him what he would look like after becoming a demon.

Until you can fully control your own demonic nature, it's better to keep this idea sealed for the time being.

"Taoist Master." Bajie saw that Li Chunfeng didn't seem to have any intention of using the soul-searching technique, so he explained, "The poor monk's soul-searching technique can only be said to have just started. How many useful things can be found? But it all depends on God’s will.”

That's it, when Bajie was in Changbai Mountain, he had been taught by Junior Brother Sha. Otherwise, he wouldn't even be at this level.

"Immortal Taoist Master Wuliang." Li Chunfeng shook off the fly whisk in his hand, "It's better to do it as a poor Taoist. It's just that these ferocious beasts have no intelligence, and even the soul-searching technique may not have very good results."

Li Chunfeng took a vaccination first. (End of chapter)
