Chapter 12 Stone Wall Mechanism
After dealing with the black-haired corpse, Zhang Wuxun quickly ran over to check its coffin to see if Little Innocent had been carried inside.

Upon seeing that there was only that foreigner in the coffin, Zhang Wuxun breathed a sigh of relief. Thankfully, there wasn't.

However, there are quite a few good things in that black market den.

Zhang Wuxun picked and chose a few good items for himself, and then bought the rest, thinking he would give them to Fatty as a favor after the Iron Triangle reunited. Then he picked up the bag containing the large jade bottle from the corner and put it into his spatial storage.

"Which side chamber did Little Innocent go into earlier? Oh, it was the right one."

Zhang Wuxun muttered to himself as he returned to the right ear chamber, where he indeed found some clues.

Following the trail, they surprisingly found another robbery hole behind a broken jar.

"Damn it!" Zhang Wu was completely exasperated.

He said that Xiao Tianzhen couldn't have disappeared for no reason, which had made him worry for a long time. So that's where the secret lies.

On the wall to the right of the tomb robber's hole is a long, thin seal script character for "evil," probably because Xiao Tianzhen practiced the slender gold script for too long and couldn't change it.

Zhang Wuxun gripped the dagger and carved a fish character in seal script next to the character for "evil," then frowned and crawled into the tomb.

As he climbed, he cursed inwardly, "Damn it, if it weren't for finding Xiao Tianzhen, I would never have climbed this dirty, dusty tunnel."

While cursing under his breath, Zhang Wuxun reluctantly crawled forward along the passage.

He came to a fork in the road, shone his light on it, and sure enough, found a mark at the left fork.

He carved the character "fish" as before and continued climbing forward.

After huffing and puffing for ages, Zhang Wuxun suspected his knees were practically raw, but the passage seemed endless, and no matter how hard he climbed, he couldn't find an exit.

The key issue is that he hasn't seen any trace of Xiao Tianzhen yet, nor has he found any signs of her.

"Damn it!" Zhang Wuxun stopped, sat down against the wall, rubbed his knees, and cursed, "This is a damn maze!"

Covered in dirt from head to toe, Zhang Wuxun had already given up on himself, so what was with his obsession with cleanliness!

"Damn it..." Zhang Wuxun's face darkened. "[What use are you?]"
[System notification: Agency.]

"Huh?" Zhang Wuxun was taken aback, then suddenly realized what he meant.

Holy crap! I knew it! With Xiao Tianzhen's stamina, how could he possibly climb that far?

Knowing where the problem lay, Zhang Wuxun was full of energy and turned around to crawl back.

He stopped after climbing for a while.

There's a section of stone wall here, which is clearly suspicious.

He was so focused on finding the person that he overlooked this point.

Zhang Wuxun gave himself a small scolding, then stretched out the index and middle fingers of his left hand and carefully touched the uneven stone wall little by little.

As an aside, Zhang Wuxun is left-handed, and he practiced the "Fox Spirit" technique with his left hand, while Xiao Ge is right-handed. Who would stare at someone else's left hand for no reason? Therefore, Wu Sanye and the others never noticed that Zhang Wuxun's left-hand fingers were unusually long.

Let's return to the topic.

When Zhang Wuxun's fingers touched a protrusion, he keenly sensed a slight looseness.

With his backpack and box strapped to his back, and bracing himself for a sudden fall, Zhang Wuxun pressed down hard with his fingertips.

then……

"Hmm?" Zhang Wuxun frowned. Why the hell isn't he reacting? That shouldn't be happening!
Zhang Wuxun leaned closer to examine the small indentation he had pressed in, then pressed his finger in again and applied more pressure. Click—the sound of a small mechanism operating rang out above him.

Zhang Wuxun was overjoyed; things were settled now.

It turns out it wasn't under your feet, but above your head.

Zhang Wuxun waited with delight for the stone wall above him to open so he could climb up.

Suddenly his ears twitched, and he quickly moved his body backward.

The next instant, the stone slab above opened, and with a wail, a huge object fell down, kicking up dust and shaking the entire passageway.

Zhang Wuxun wrinkled his nose, held his breath, and quietly approached, drawing his dagger.

"Is that you?!"

The enormous thing in front of them wasn't a monster, but the fat man who had escaped through the crack in the jade gate after his previous attempt to scare people failed.

"Cough cough..." Wang Pangzi was stunned by the heavy fall. He coughed as he got up and shook his head. "Who...who the hell attacked you, Fatty?"

Suddenly, I felt a cool sensation on my neck, and my voice stopped abruptly, "Brother, let's talk this out..."

Zhang Wuxun covered his nose with the back of his hand, suppressing the itch in his throat, his voice sounding somewhat hoarse, "Who are you? What is your purpose in coming here?"

Fatty Wang's eyes darted around, and he was about to make up something as soon as he opened his mouth.

Zhang Wuxun shone the light directly on his face, avoiding his eyes, brought the dagger closer, and lowered his voice, "Behave yourself."

Wang Pangzi squinted and used the light to get a good look at the man threatening him. He could tell from his attire that he was a fellow professional. He quickly put on a smile and said, "Misunderstanding, misunderstanding, brother. We're all on the same side. I do this too. My name is Wang Yueban, nickname Fatty. I'm a Northern School Tomb Raider. What's your name, brother?"

Zhang Wuxun sheathed his dagger, waved the dust off his face, and coughed. "My surname is Zhang. Just call me Muyu."

"You're the one who pretended to be a ghost and scared us in the main burial chamber, right? You've got some nerve." Zhang Wuxun glanced at him sideways, then turned and began to feel around on the other side of the stone wall.

"Little Brother Muyu, it's all a misunderstanding, hehe." Fatty Wang chuckled awkwardly, changing the subject, "Hey? Why are you alone? Where are your friends?"

"We ran into a blood zombie and got separated," Zhang Wuxun said casually. "Did you run into anyone before you fell from up there?"

Fatty Wang shook his head. "No, it was just me. I was crawling through that maze-like dirt road when suddenly my foot slipped and I fell here."

Zhang Wuxun nodded, said nothing more, and continued searching for the mechanism on the stone wall.

The mechanism closed automatically after the fat man fell down. Since the fat man said there was no one up there, he would have to look for it again.

Fatty Wang was a natural at making friends. Seeing that Zhang Wuxun wasn't speaking and was only groping around on the wall, he came over and asked, "Little Brother Muyu, what are you looking for?"

"The mechanism," Zhang Wu asked.

"Oh~" Fatty Wang suddenly realized, "So you're the one who made Fatty fall down from up there!"

Zhang Wuxun glanced at him. "What, do you have a problem with that?"

Fatty Wang chuckled twice, "How could that be? If it weren't for you, brother, I'd probably be wandering around somewhere right now."

"Alright, stop joking around." Zhang Wuxun stopped his finger on a spot and reminded the fat man, "Be prepared, you might fall down in a bit."

Wang Pangzi was startled. Before he could say anything, his feet suddenly lost their footing, and a feeling of weightlessness swept over him instantly.

"Ah—Fatty's ass!"
