Chapter 504 Ghostly Dragon Fish
The moment they arrived at this place, a chilling coldness swept over them, and everyone shivered involuntarily.

It was so cold! Just moments before they had felt the stuffiness, but after taking one step out, they were suddenly transported into a gloomy and terrifying space.

It was as if there was an invisible wall behind them, completely isolating the stuffy heat from the gaps.

The sweat on their bodies evaporated in less than two seconds, and goosebumps appeared all the way up to the back of their necks. They all put on their jackets without prior arrangement.

Zhang Haixing asked Zhang Wu for a signal flare, pointed it at the canyon below, and after the strongest burst of light dissipated, she immediately took out her camera and took pictures of the bronze gate.

Zhang Wuxun did not stop her, but a faint smile appeared on his lips, the meaning of which was unclear.

He had been pondering a question: Feng called the bronze door the "Gate of Praise to the Gods" the moment he first saw it, without the slightest hesitation, as if he had seen an identical door before. This was clearly very illogical.

Either the title "Praise God Gate" was a new name given to the Bronze Gate by his organization after they learned about it.

Or perhaps Feng had actually seen a similar door somewhere before, which is why he blurted it out without thinking.

Zhang Wuxun felt a chill run down his spine. This meant that it was very likely that somewhere outside of Changbai Mountain and Motuo, there also existed a similar huge bronze gate.

The bronze door is inextricably linked to the god of praise that Feng has always worshipped and believed in. Perhaps the mysterious organization behind Feng has also come into contact with "its" power, which is why they followed the bait deliberately laid out by the Zhang family to trace it here.

Since we've all come here to seek the ultimate secret, things will be much easier from here on out.

When no one was looking, Zhang Wuxun put his hands behind his back and gently fiddled with the two octagonal bells tied to his wrists.

The enormous gate stood at the bottom of the valley. As far as they could see, under the pillar of light, the gate, gleaming with a cold, eerie blue light, resembled a Pandora's box filled with endless temptation, tightly sealed by countless shackles. Once opened, it would bring them endless terror and the unknown.

"What's that thing wrapped in chains?" Zhang Haixing asked softly, carefully examining the footage captured by the camera.

The bronze door is covered with countless raised tendril patterns, densely packed like a spider web. But if you look closely with a telescope, you will find that the center of those patterns is actually a very large, unidentified oval object. All the patterns gradually spread in from the periphery of the door, forming a spiral twisted pattern that tightly wraps around the central part, imprisoning the door.

The fat man craned his neck to look down, already urging impatiently, "Who cares what it is? Let's go down and take a closer look and we'll know."

Without delay, the group quickly hammered in rock bolts on the cliff edge, tied ropes to it, and descended to the valley floor. They then rushed over without stopping, and the bronze gate was right in front of them; they almost had to run.

When they finally stood before that bronze door, no one spoke; they simply stared at it in a daze.

How long has it been?

Wu Xie couldn't remember what he felt the last time he saw this giant gate. Was it despair? Or did he feel that everything in the world was beginning to change unpredictably and become unreliable?

Now, although my heart is still racing uncontrollably, the feeling inside is completely different from before.

It is vague and indistinct, neither bright nor obscure, unattached to coming or going, and returns to nothingness.

As the afterglow of the signal flare faded completely, Zhang Wuxun turned on his fog lights to illuminate the patterns on the door as much as possible, examining them closely. Just now, he suddenly remembered that there was a drawing in the Germans' notes that specifically depicted the entire bronze door.

However, the pattern on that painting was quite different from the engraving on the door in front of him, which meant that his previous deduction was correct and that the Germans had indeed seen the third bronze door in the world.

Even earlier, the Germans, seeking to uncover its mysteries, had already set their sights on this region. Under the guise of searching for a golden treasure hidden deep in the snow-capped mountains, they repeatedly ventured into this remote and untouched snowfield. Therefore, it's not really a matter of who was exploiting whom between the Germans' behind-the-scenes boss and the Wang family; both sides were simply mutually benefiting from a shared goal.

Now that Zhang Wu has figured out the nature of the two bronze doors he has already seen, where is the third bronze door? Who built that door, and what was its purpose?
The fat man was the first to speak, asking, "We don't have the Ghost Seal, and we don't know about the mechanism. Will this door open?"

Wu Xie didn't know how to answer, so he shook his head, walked forward, and kept walking. Under the puzzled gazes of the others, he placed his hand on the door and then naturally pushed it hard.

This was a completely subconscious action. He didn't know if the bronze door at the foot of Changbai Mountain was as cold to the touch as the one in front of him, as if it were stuck to a very cold and thick iceberg.

The scene of the young man holding the Ghost Seal step by step walking through the bronze gate, surrounded by ghost soldiers, flashed through his mind.

He imagined the door slowly opening as his men moved, but contrary to his wishes, the door remained motionless.

As expected, he was not destined to be the one to open this door.

Wu Xie gently stroked the patterns on it. The lines were so exquisite. He couldn't imagine how the craftsmen of that time managed to complete such a complex and magnificent project, given how such massive doors could be forged with such lines.

He stepped back and sat down with the fat man on the stone in front of the door, staring quietly at the door. It seemed that the journey had ended here.

Zhang Haixing suddenly spoke up and asked him, "You're saying that the 'ultimate goal' for our Zhang family lies behind this giant bronze gate?"

“It wasn’t me who said it,” Wu Xie said. “It was your clan leader who told me.”

Undeterred, Zhang Haixing pressed on, "Do you have any more clues?"

"Ask your clan leader," Wu Xie said, then entered a state of deep thought, ignoring her.

Zhang Haixing pursed her lips tightly, turned to look at Zhang Wuxun, trying to see something different about him, only to find that Zhang Wuxun was no longer there.

She immediately stood up, lit a lamp, and looked around. Then she found a dark figure crouching in front of the stone to the right of the bronze door, and the person was taking something out from under the stone.

Zhang Haixing walked over quickly, "What are you doing..."

His gaze swept over the object in Zhang Wuxun's hand, and suddenly he choked on his words.

It took her a long while to recover from her shock and find her voice, "How did you get this?"

Zhang Wuxun got up from the ground, holding a semi-transparent box in his hands. When the light shone on it, a dark outline could be vaguely seen inside. He opened the box, and inside was a seal in the shape of a Qilin stepping on a ghost.

The fat man's eyes widened immediately. "Holy crap? The Ghost Seal? Where did you get the Ghost Seal?!"

Wu Xie was jolted awake by Fatty's shout. He looked in the direction Fatty had run and was immediately taken aback.

Immediately, his mind raced, and he quickly realized what was happening and hurried over as well.

He first winked at the fat man, then asked Zhang Wuxun, "How did this ghost seal end up in your hands?"
