Tomb Raider: I Am Hu Bayi's Cousin
Chapter 16 The Giant Zongzi Emerges from the Coffin
Chapter 16 The Giant Zongzi Emerges from the Coffin
Yingzi's scream startled Fatty and Hu Bayi, who were just about to check the situation, so they knelt down, put their hands together, and began to chant the prepared words.
Please forgive us! Please forgive us! We have no choice but to borrow a few small items to exchange for a little money, as we are short of food and clothing.
"Hahaha……"
Seeing this, Hu Ming couldn't help but burst into laughter. However, Hu Ming glanced at the creature inside the coffin; it was indeed quite ugly, but it hadn't yet turned into a zombie.
At this moment, Hu Bayi and Fatty Wang also realized what was happening. Fatty Wang immediately went to the coffin that had been opened earlier and took a quick look inside.
Upon seeing this, he exclaimed in disgust, "Ugh, good heavens, so ugly!"
The fat man never expected that this guy would be so ugly even after he died. He couldn't help but say that. Now he understood why Yingzi was so scared when she saw him.
After all, even the fat man couldn't stand the slightly distorted facial features, with a crooked nose and mouth. And the fat man's words were also heard by Hu Bayi.
A glint of a smile flashed across Hu Bayi's eyes. He then crept closer, pressing against the fat man's back, and suddenly said, "You fatso, do you want to die?"
The fat man, who was focused on the corpse, was startled. He turned around and, seeing it was Hu Bayi, said irritably, "Is scaring people fun?"
At this moment, Hu Ming answered for Hu Bayi: "Scaring others is meaningless, but scaring you, Fatty, is particularly interesting."
The fat man rolled his eyes at him in annoyance.
Hu Bayi glanced at the candles and, finding nothing wrong, said, "Let's begin!"
Upon hearing this, the fat man reached out, but Hu Ming stopped him. Hu Ming then said to the fat man, "You fatso, why don't you just grab it with your bare hands? Aren't you afraid of getting infected with the corpse poison? I told you to wear gloves."
Upon hearing this, the fat man paused for a moment, then immediately took out gloves and distributed them to everyone. After Hu Ming put on the gloves, he first used the remaining rope to bind the giant zombie's ankles like an anklet. Hu Ming dared not completely bind its feet, fearing that it would break free.
After seeing Hu Ming finish doing these things, the group began to take the porcelain and pottery from the coffin.
Hu Ming took out porcelain pieces, quite a few, more than a dozen. He took four or five and pretended to put them in his backpack, but actually secretly put them into his spatial storage.
Hu Bayi picked up a porcelain piece, glanced at Hu Ming and Wang Pangzi, and said, "Mingzi, isn't this inappropriate? The rules of our ancestors have been preserved for thousands of years."
Hu Ming glanced at Hu Bayi and said, "It's alright, times have changed, and our rules are different too!"
Then he said to the fat man, "Let's light some incense for it and offer it some prayers as a way of showing respect."
At this point, there was only a mask and a pair of jade pendants inside the coffin.
Hu Bayi said to Hu Ming, "Mingzi, something's wrong."
Suddenly, the candlelight flickered and began to sway, making a hissing sound, and then darkness fell over the tomb.
The fat man exclaimed in surprise, "Oh no! The candle's out!"
This startled the fat man so much that he dared not move.
Upon seeing this, Hu Bayi asked, "What should we do?" Fatty took out a dagger, while Yingzi nervously gripped her hunting rifle.
Upon hearing this, a sharp glint flashed in Hu Ming's eyes, and he said calmly, "Old Hu, keep lighting the candles and negotiate. If they don't listen, deal with them directly! Damn it, I don't believe we can't handle them."
Hearing Hu Ming's words, Hu Bayi couldn't help but give him a thumbs up and said, "I'm telling you, Mingzi, what you just said was really domineering! I'm afraid that among all the tomb raiders and tomb raiders in the past few thousand years, only you would dare to say something like that."
As he spoke, Hu Bayi lit another new candle, and the tomb chamber was brightened again.
Given that the candles went out last time, everyone turned on their flashlights as well.
After a while, Hu Ming glanced at the candle's performance, then looked at the fat man and said, "Fatty, let's continue!"
The fat man's voice trembled slightly as he asked, "Continue? Mingzi, are you sure?"
Hu Ming nodded firmly. Seeing this, the fat man took a deep breath and reached out to take the pair of jade pendants.
Suddenly, the originally dim tomb chamber turned eerily green, creating a sinister atmosphere with flickering light.
Hu Bayi said nervously, "Mingzi, this candle has turned green! What the hell?!"
The fat man also said nervously, "Damn it, Lao Hu, what the hell is going on? What? Should we all run out of here right now? It's too scary." At this moment, Lao Hu, the fat man, and Yingzi suddenly panicked and became frightened, talking amongst themselves.
The fat man glanced at the corpse and yelled in fright, "Holy crap, Mingzi, it moved!"
"This thing actually moved!" At this moment, the fat man discovered that the guy lying in the coffin had suddenly grown red hair all over his body, which grew longer and longer, and became more and more terrifying.
Hu Ming frowned upon seeing this, quickly removed the mask from the corpse's face, and then said to the fat man, "Step back quickly."
Upon hearing this, Fatty immediately stepped back to Yingzi's side, as did Hu Bayi.
Then, the creature inside the coffin slowly stretched out its withered hands and held onto the edge of the coffin.
The fat man stared wide-eyed and muttered, "Holy crap!"
The next moment, suddenly there was a loud 'boom!' and the originally sturdy coffin was immediately torn apart.
Upon seeing this, the fat man exclaimed in surprise, "Holy crap, it's come back to life! It's come back to life!"
Suddenly, the red-haired monster sat up and looked at everyone present with its empty, green eyes, making strange noises.
Hu Ming then stepped aside and coldly stared at the monster. He knew that the sound it had just made was the language of corpses.
"Mingzi, Lao Hu, what should we do?" Fatty was quite scared at this moment. Upon seeing the corpse come back to life, he immediately remembered the stories Hu Ming had told him.
"What should we do? What should we do?" Yingzi said, turning around immediately, wanting to leave as well.
However, it was all too late.
The big guy immediately took out a coffin board from the side and threw it out hard.
As a result, the red-haired monster accurately and firmly embedded the coffin lid into the entrance they had just entered through.
Upon seeing this, the fat man couldn't help but curse, "I! Mingzi! The intersection is blocked!"
Hu Ming, however, remained completely calm upon hearing this, and said to the fat man indifferently, "Okay, I understand."
The big zongzi, seeing that everyone was standing still, wanted to go over and grab Hu Ming and the others, but before he could take a step, black smoke came out of the sole of his foot.
It turned out that Hu Ming had already laid out glutinous rice all around. When the giant zongzi stepped on the glutinous rice, it was in pain and pulled its foot back.
When Hu Bayi saw the spot where the giant zongzi had stepped, the glutinous rice there had turned black.
Upon seeing this, the fat man exclaimed happily, "Great! The glutinous rice will work for it!"
Perhaps enraged by the fat man's laughter, the giant zongzi roared, then picked up the weapon that had been buried with him—a spiked club—and aimed it at the group, throwing it at them.
Fatty and Yingzi panicked when they saw the hundred-pound spiked club flying towards them. Luckily, Hu Bayi was nearby and pushed them aside in time. The spiked club grazed past Fatty and Yingzi and smashed into the wall behind them, making a hole in it.
Hu Ming's eyes narrowed upon seeing this. He was glad that he hadn't challenged this giant zombie to a duel just because he had practiced Bajiquan for over twenty years; otherwise, he probably would have been in serious trouble.
After Hu Ming came to his senses, he took out a handful of glutinous rice and threw it at the giant zongzi. Sparks flew as the rice hit the zongzi, which roared in pain. Because of the rope binding its body, the zongzi could not take big steps and could only watch helplessly as Hu Ming acted so brazenly in front of it.
Seeing that the giant rice dumpling was angry, Hu Ming stopped. At this moment, Hu Bayi suddenly shouted to Hu Ming, "Mingzi, there's a passage here. Let's get out of here quickly!"
Hu Ming looked over upon hearing the sound and realized that Hu Bayi and the others had somehow entered the large hole that the giant rice dumpling had just smashed.
Seeing this, Hu Ming hurriedly bypassed the giant rice dumpling and ran towards Hu Bayi.
Before leaving, he wrapped the prepared rope around the corpse and hung it up. Ignoring the giant zombie's roar, he quickly retreated with Hu Bayi and the others.
I was rewatching Ultraman Tiga a couple of days ago, and today they told me it's been taken off the shelves.
Sigh, I'm not in a good mood today, so I'll only post one chapter.
