Chapter 879 Route!
"Goodness gracious, Hu Ming, you're getting better and better!"
The fat man gave a thumbs-up and said in praise, "You can even fool foreign professional assassins now, impressive!"
Hu Bayi, however, took a closer look at the professional assassin named George.
"Alright, let me introduce you three. This is Hu Bayi, Wang Kaixuan, and Fatty Wang. They are both old friends of mine and rare experts in this line of work."
Hu Ming pointed to the two people in front of him and solemnly introduced them.
Charles, being an impatient man, asked directly at this moment.
"Hey, Hu Ming, are all the people you asked for almost here now? When do we set off?"
Hu Ming laughed at this question: "You're really in a hurry. Fine, let's get ready and set off right now!"
Hu Bayi picked up his backpack from the ground, nodded, and said, "We have no problems here, we can leave anytime!"
"Hey, Fatty's been waiting impatiently for ages!"
"That's what the fat man said casually."
Seeing that everyone looked eager to try, Hu Ming clapped his hands and ordered, "Very good, let's go back to the ship and prepare to set off."
After some time, under the night breeze, the voyage that had been moored in the harbor set sail again, heading into the depths of the turbulent sea.
Inside the captain's cabin, Hu Ming and his group sat around a table, studying the map and routes on the golden manuscript.
Hu Bayi stared intently at the ancient map depicted on it, and couldn't help but sigh.
"Good heavens, the Golden Kingdom is really well hidden in the middle of this group of death islands!"
"Death Island?"
George, who was standing to one side, didn't know much about it and asked carefully with a frown.
What does this mean?
Hu Ming said softly, "Because shipwrecks frequently occur near this island, it is revered and called the Island of Death by everyone who sails in this area."
Transtan interjected at this point.
“I’ve learned something about this Death Island. It’s said that ships that have wrecked here will have their compasses and other instruments malfunction due to unknown interference when they enter this area. The prevailing theory is that there is a special magnetic field in the vicinity.”
Hu Ming nodded slightly and echoed.
"I've heard that saying too. Now I just hope we'll be lucky!"
However, before he could finish speaking, he suddenly felt the ship shake as if it had hit something.
"Damn it, what's going on?"
The impatient fat man was the first to rush out.
Hu Ming, Hu Bayi, and the others quickly rushed out together.
They came to the deck outside and saw sailors running around, screaming as if they were going mad.
What happened?
Hu Bayi opened his eyes wide in astonishment.
Charles strode out, trying to stop his frenzied men.
"Hey, you bunch of bastards, what the hell are you doing right now?"
He waved his right hand forcefully and ordered, "Quiet down and get back to your posts."
George pulled him back, shaking his head and reminding him, "Don't waste your energy. These guys are all terrified. Look into their eyes, there's no reason left."
Transtan retreated in fear: "What kind of attack is this? What happened?" Faced with such a terrifying scene, Hu Ming calmly gave instructions.
"Everyone, stay put and follow this order!"
"Boom!"
The ship began to shake violently again, as if some terrifying monster was lurking beneath the surface of the sea, constantly ramming against the bottom of the cabin.
"Damn it, what's going on now?"
The fat man looked anxious and immediately rushed to the edge of the deck, grabbed the handrail with both hands, and looked down at the turbulent sea below.
A dark mountain peak could be seen rising continuously from the sea.
Hu Ming and the others rushed over and all witnessed this unbelievable scene.
"Hey, hey, hey, what the hell is going on here?"
George looked utterly astonished and couldn't help but exclaim, "I've never heard of anything so absurd!"
Transtan rubbed his eyes and couldn't help but shake his head, saying, "Me too, I've never heard of such a terrifying thing as mountains growing from beneath the sea."
Hu Ming gritted his teeth and said, "Now is not the time for you to sigh about this. Everyone hurry back and grab your survival gear. We're going to escape into the sea."
Everyone nodded and prepared to act together according to Hu Ming's instructions.
Looking at the dark sea, Hu Ming couldn't help but wonder.
"What caused the crew on deck to suddenly go mad? These black peaks rising from the sea don't seem to possess such terrifying magic."
"Waaaaah—"
A plaintive sobbing sound came from below the deck. Hu Ming frowned and immediately turned around to look.
The sailors who had gone mad suddenly fell into an eerie silence, each one like a puppet on a string, and walked blankly down into the cabin.
"What terrifying thing lurks beneath the ship's hold?!"
Hu Ming immediately realized this. He glanced around and saw that Hu Bayi and the others were all running out to find the survival equipment.
"After you get your survival gear, wait for me on this deck!"
He gave the order loudly and immediately rushed into the cabin below.
In the dimly lit cabin, as soon as Hu Ming entered, he saw that the steps leading down were covered in blood.
It looked as if someone had been disemboweled here, with bloody intestines carelessly thrown on the ground, creating a horrifying picture of hell.
Hu Ming raised his hand to cover his nose, enduring the pungent smell of blood as he walked down.
"What happened down below this cabin? It seems a fierce battle took place down there while we were discussing the route in the captain's cabin."
He arrived at a half-open door and heard painful gasps coming from inside.
Hu Ming took a deep breath and slowly pushed it away.
"Squeak-"
As the door was slowly pushed open, Hu Ming saw the scene inside, which was so terrifying that it sent chills down his spine.
There were many young girls in tattered clothes, their eyes gouged out, their tongues cut out, and bound with chains.
In this blood-soaked prison cell, only their helpless sobs could be heard.
What's going on?
Hu Ming stood there stunned. He never imagined that such a terrifying thing would happen on the ship he was on, the Voyager!
