Tomb Raider: I Am Hu Bayi's Cousin

Chapter 892 Possessed by Gu?

Chapter 892 Possessed by Gu?

White mist slowly billowed within the chilling underwater cave.

Hu Ming looked at the snail-like women swimming towards him with a serious expression.

They looked at him strangely, as if they were examining a rare toy.

Hu Ming disliked such blatant stares. He frowned, clenched his fists, and prepared to run away immediately if things went wrong.

The snail women swam past him, casually grabbing the long-legged monster fish from the seaweed beneath them and tearing at the vibrant creature with force.

Blood splattered, and the long-legged monster fish trembled incessantly, yet the snail women swallowed it whole with even greater excitement.

Seeing this cruel scene, Hu Ming felt a chill run down his spine.

"These snail women don't seem like kind people!"

He slowly raised his clenched right fist, preparing to take the opportunity to slip away.

Just then, the cave beneath his feet suddenly trembled.

The snail women exchanged glances, as if sensing some impending danger, and swam away one after another.

"What happened?"

Hu Ming subconsciously looked up and saw cracks appearing on the rock wall above him, with seawater pouring in uncontrollably.

"Damn it, this place is going to collapse!"

He then realized what was happening and hurriedly fled towards the distant cave entrance.

"Boom—"

The rock wall overhead completely collapsed, and a massive amount of seawater rushed in.

As Hu Ming looked up, a giant black fish with long legs opened its blood-red maw and charged in.

"Wow, so there's actually a long-legged fish king at the bottom of this lake! Those snail women caught its offspring and kept them here as food, but this giant came knocking on their door!"

He instantly understood everything and, without daring to delay, quickly seized this rare opportunity to escape.

The raging seawater surged in, instantly filling the cave at the bottom of the lake.

The giant black fish swooped down, its target Hu Ming, the outsider who had stayed behind.

"Damn it, I wasn't the one who seized your offspring!"

Hu Ming cursed inwardly, but he knew that following the mindless black giant fish was pointless; he couldn't reason with it.

He stretched out his arms with all his might and swam upwards as fast as he could.

The giant black fish became extremely agitated at this moment and chased after Hu Ming, attacking him relentlessly.

Left with no other choice, Hu Ming had to crawl into a crack in the wall.

"boom--"

The black monster fish crashed heavily into the wall, causing the entire wall to shake violently.

But even as the plaster peeled off, streaks of golden light shone brightly.

Hu Ming looked down in astonishment and realized that the wall he was hiding in was actually the ruins of a city wall made of pure gold.

"My goodness! Are all the walls below made of gold?"

Hu Ming couldn't help but speculate.

The giant black fish was momentarily dazzled by the brilliant golden light, then blinked in confusion.

Taking advantage of the distance, the snail women launched a sneak attack, wielding primitive stone spears and hurling them at the dazed black giant fish.

"Shhhhh-"

The incredibly sharp stone spear pierced through the body of the giant black fish in an instant.

It swam angrily, transforming into a giant ship on the seabed, and crushed towards those despicable attackers.

The snail women scattered in panic, but many were still caught on the spot and swallowed whole into the fish's belly.

"Good heavens, this really is karma!"

Hu Ming shook his head, thinking, "However, this is also a good opportunity for me to get away!"

Hu Ming looked down and saw a gold brick had fallen off, so he quickly grabbed it.

"This can be considered a gain from this trip!"

As he thought this, he tried his best to swim upwards.

A moment later, Hu Ming arrived safely on the lake shore.

He collapsed to the ground, exhausted, panting heavily.

"We finally escaped!"

Bubbles appeared in the lake, and then two figures rushed up together.

"Hu Ming, where did you run off to just now?"

The fat man who popped his head out asked with a worried look on his face.

Hu Bayi asked anxiously, "You suddenly disappeared just now, and then suddenly reappeared. What exactly happened?"

Hu Ming struggled to sit up and waved to the two people in front of him.

"Come up first, let me explain slowly to you."

Fatty and Hu Bayi walked ashore in confusion, sat down beside him, and asked.

"Amin, what exactly happened to you down there?"

Hu Ming recounted the bizarre experience he had just had with a wry smile.

After hearing this, both the fat man and the other man looked on incredulously.

"Hu Ming, are you confused?"

The fat man couldn't help but express his doubts: "You can see right to the bottom of this lake. It's all seaweed and seaweed. Where are the underwater caves you mentioned, the snail woman, and some giant black fish with long legs?"

"I knew you wouldn't believe me!"

Hu Ming snorted irritably, then took something out of his pocket with his right hand and said seriously.

"Look, this gold brick is proof of my words. Below it is an entire wall made of gold bricks!"

"Amin, what's that in your hand?"

Hu Bayi exclaimed in astonishment.

The fat man, equally bewildered, asked, "Hey, Amin, have you gone mad?"

"What?"

Hu Ming didn't understand why the two people in front of him were saying that. He subconsciously looked down and was shocked to find out.

What he was holding tightly in his right hand was not a gold brick, but a pitch-black human skull.

"Holy crap, what is this?"

Hu Ming himself was somewhat bewildered on the spot. He held up the human skull in his hand and saw that it was pitch black, with countless drilled holes on the skull, making it look particularly eerie.

What is this thing?

Hu Ming couldn't help but ask himself, what he had just been holding in his arms should have been a gold brick, how could it have suddenly turned into such a strange human skull?

Hu Bayi advised, "Hu Ming, put this skull down first!"

Hu Ming hesitated before putting down the strange thing. The fat man stepped forward and quickly packed it into the bag he was carrying.

Hu Bayi breathed a sigh of relief, but his face was grim as he spoke.

"Amin, you seem to be under a spell."

Hu Ming looked completely bewildered: "Poisoned? What does that mean?"

Hu Bayi explained carefully: "In ancient times, there were various methods of using Gu poison. In the southern border, there was insect Gu, and today it seems that you have been poisoned by human head Gu."

The fat man pointed at Hu Ming's face and said, "Ming, you look frighteningly pale right now."

Hu Ming came to the lakeside with disbelief and looked into the water. He saw the man's reflection on the surface of the water. His face was as pale as paper, and his eyes were sunken like those of a demon.
