Tomb Raider: I Am Hu Bayi's Cousin

Chapter 911 Footprints!
"Waaaaah—"
The raging cold wind kept blowing outside, and the small tent where Hu Ming and the others were located instantly became shaky and on the verge of collapse.
"Damn it, this cursed place!"
The fat man quickly raised his hand and braced the top of the shaky little tent.
"Roar--"
The terrifying roar of the beast echoed throughout the camp outside.
The three people, including Hu Ming, inside the tent instantly changed their expressions.
They exchanged a glance, both seeing the astonishment in each other's eyes.
What's that roaring sound outside?
Hu Ming frowned deeply and said to Hu Bayi beside him.
"You hold the flashlight, and I'll open the tent a crack to see what's going on outside."
"it is good!"
Without saying a word, Hu Bayi picked up his flashlight and followed Hu Ming to the edge of the tent.
Hu Ming pulled on the zipper and carefully opened it up a crack.
Taking advantage of this opportunity, Hu Bayi quickly and quietly shone his flashlight outside.
Hu Ming peered through the crack and, in the light of the flashlight, saw that the tents in the camp had been uprooted one after another.
People kept falling, and on the snow ahead, there was a pair of striking large footprints.
"Something really did happen outside!"
Hu Bayi said calmly, taking out his sidearm from his waist with his right hand.
"I hope Wang Xilin is still alive!"
As he said this, he immediately rushed out.
"Amin!"
Seeing this, Hu Bayi became anxious and quickly followed them out.
The fat man, who was inside the tent, became anxious as he watched the two rush out regardless of the danger.
"Hey you two, wait for Fatty!"
He shouted and chased after him, and together they arrived at the camp after the great battle.
Looking at the devastation all around, the fat man asked Hu Ming, somewhat dumbfounded.
"Hey, Amin, what's going on here? What just happened?"
Hu Ming was squatting down, examining the frozen corpse beneath his feet.
The deceased's face was filled with terror, as if he had seen some absolutely impossible monster.
Hu Bayi confirmed from the side, "This dead guy doesn't seem to have any external injuries. It's as if his soul was directly taken away."
Hearing this from behind, the fat man shuddered and complained, "Hey, Hu Bayi, don't talk about it in such a spooky way. You know I can't do anything about these things."
Hu Ming turned his head and looked at the pair of conspicuous large footprints under the trampled tent.
"These could absolutely not be human footprints!"
Hu Ming reached out and gently touched the huge footprint with his right hand, picking up sharp ice shards from it.
"It looks like the traces left by the legendary Yeti!" Hu Bayi said softly, looking at the empty space under the exquisite tent.
"It seems Wang Xilin also met with misfortune; I wonder if she's still alive!"
The fat man muttered under his breath, "It would be best if that vicious woman disappeared forever because of this. I've disliked her for a long time."
Hu Ming stood up, looking in the direction the huge footprints had disappeared into, and said in a deep voice.
"Let's chase after them!"
The fat man couldn't help but shout, "Hey, Amin, are you kidding me? There are terrifying monsters ahead that can easily slaughter everyone in this camp!"
Hu Ming paused for a moment and instructed, "Fatty, you and Old Hu stay here for now. I'll go out and check the situation. If I find anything, I'll come back and let you know."
Hu Bayi stopped Hu Ming, who was about to leave alone, and said seriously, "I'll go with you!"
He turned and glanced at the fat man, then asked directly, "Fatty, what about you?"
The fat man walked up irritably and muttered, "You two stubborn bastards who won't listen to advice! Now that you're both going to catch up, what can I do? We might as well die together!"
Hu Ming and Hu Bayi both laughed at this.
"Don't worry, we're the famous Three Scoundrels, how could we die in such a ridiculous place!"
Hu Ming said softly and led the way into the depths of the snow-capped mountains.
Hu Bayi and Fatty quickly caught up together.
The three of them followed the trail left by the huge footprints, braving the wind and snow as they went.
As they went deeper into the snow, more and more frozen skeletons appeared on the ground ahead.
Hu Ming looked at the corpses buried in the snow and said with a strange expression.
"Their bodies showed no external injuries whatsoever. Strange, could they have been frozen to death instantly?"
Hu Ming's conjecture quickly won Hu Bayi's approval.
“Amin, I think you’re right. Look at how the pupils of these dead bodies dilate unconsciously. This is the body’s instinctive reaction when exposed to extremely low temperatures.”
As the fat man listened to their analysis, he carefully observed the corpses lying in the snow.
He noticed that many of the dead bodies had faces he had never seen before.
The fat man immediately thought of a possibility and boldly proposed it.
“Hey, Amin, Lao Hu, look over here. These dead bodies are not people we know.”
Hu Ming somewhat understood what the fat man meant: "You mean, long before we arrived, someone had already set foot here and unfortunately was killed by the monsters that inhabit this place?"
The fat man nodded repeatedly, giving a thumbs-up in praise: "That's right, what I'm thinking is exactly what you're saying, Ah Ming."
Hu Bayi stroked his chin and analyzed the situation seriously.
"If that's the case, things are really getting complicated. It turns out that such terrifying monsters have been hiding in the Tianshan Mountains all along. I wonder if they could be a single race?"
Hu Ming said with a complicated expression, "The Great Snow Monster clan, I don't think our luck can be that bad. After all, judging from the commotion of the attack we just suffered, there should only be one thing that caused everyone's panic."
The fat man's face turned pale: "Dozens of giant snow monsters, damn it, just thinking about that scene sends chills down my spine."
Just as the three were discussing this anxiously, a girl's terrified scream and a wild beast's angry roar came from behind the mountain road ahead.
"It's Wang Xilin! She's still alive?"
Hu Ming said with some surprise.
Hu Bayi calmly analyzed, "Amin, we have to find a way to rescue her. Right now, only Wang Xilin knows the exact location of the Cloud Palace."
