Chapter 2179 What are you doing here?

"What to eat?"

Nan Jiaojiao took out her cell phone and prepared to order takeout.

"No, my mom will bring it to me later."

Nan Jiaojiao was startled, "Mother Lu?"

"Well, she called me this morning and brought lunch over. Don't worry."

"Ok."

Nan Jiaojiao glanced at Father Lu lying on the bed. He was lying there with almost no blood color on his face. Originally, there were only a few white hairs among his black hair, but in just a short period of time, all his hair turned white. He couldn't eat, and his face was slightly sunken. He looked twenty years older, and there was no trace of his previous vigor and vitality.

Instead, he looks like an octogenarian.

Just this one glance and Nan Jiaojiao was secretly frightened.

She sat far back, and even if Lu Zhenzhen didn't look back, she would cover her eyes when she glanced at her, afraid of not being able to hide the pain in her eyes.

No wonder you feel tired. How can you accept seeing your loved ones grow old with your own eyes?

Mother Lu arrived at around eleven o'clock, and Gao Zhe came with her, carrying two lunch boxes in his hands.

When Lu Zhenzhen saw him, her face immediately darkened, "Didn't I tell you to go back and rest? Why are you here again?"

"He's resting. He went back to the Lu family to rest. I'm watching him. He only sleeps for three hours!"

Mother Lu quickly stepped in front to protect her son-in-law, "I left some food for him when he woke up, and asked the servants to remind him to eat. But when I was serving the food, he came downstairs and wanted to come with me. You know him, he rarely sleeps during the day, and it's rare for him to sleep for three hours."

Lu Zhenzhen's expression looked better then. "Put the food on the table and let's eat." Lu's mother said "Oh" and turned back to wink at Gao Zhe.

The suite consists of a living room and a bedroom. There is a long table in the living room, from which you can just see the bed.

Gao Zhe and Lu's mother put the food on the table together. He greeted Nan Jiaojiao, "Have you been here for a long time?"

"No, I just came a little earlier than you."

"The food at home is relatively light, try it."

Nan Jiaojiao was not being polite to him, but she had to respond politely: "No, I'm used to the Lu family's food, I won't be unaccustomed to it."

"Okay." Gao Zhe responded to her.

He personally added a few bowls of rice, then went back to the ward and brought Lu Zhenzhen over from the bedside.

No one talked much and rarely communicated, but they still passed food to each other.

When they were almost done eating, Mother Lu sighed, "I made some chicken soup. The chicken meat was shredded and boiled until it was mushy. When Old Lu wakes up later, let him have a bite. I'm afraid he doesn't have much appetite."

Lu Zhenzhen said, "He woke up for an hour yesterday and was kept alive by intravenous drips. He hasn't woken up yet today. Before you came, he was groaning for a while. The doctor came to see him and said it was normal. Just stay with him and feed him if he wants to eat."

Mother Lu clenched her chopsticks, her eyes reddened, and she pursed her lips tightly, trying her best to restrain herself from losing her composure in front of the children.

"It's okay. Old Lu has never been sick in his life. He will get through it. Don't worry."

"I'm not worried," Lu Zhenzhen picked at the rice in the bowl. She didn't have much appetite, so she ate a few mouthfuls to reassure her mother. She put down her chopsticks and shook Lu's mother's hand. "Don't be so stressed. Medicine is so advanced now. It can be cured. Stay in the hospital for a few more days. If the doctor agrees to discharge you, we'll go home."

Mother Lu's tears, which she had been holding back, almost burst out because of her daughter's words. She pulled the corners of her mouth stiffly and smiled, "Child, you are still trying to comfort me. You have been guarding here for two nights. You go back tonight and I will take over."
