Chapter 134 Becoming Stronger
The so-called waste of resources is essentially due to uneven distribution.

Others may think that way, but you shouldn't. Because if you feel you're wasting resources, then enjoying those extra resources becomes meaningless.

The correct approach is to face up to this uneven distribution, make full and better use of it, and transform it into our own strength. Any so-called "waste" that occurs in this process can only be considered reasonable loss.

As for the uneven distribution of resources... this is a very real issue, because the world is inherently unfair.

Injustice is always relative. It's unfair to Carl and Jiang Hui, but Jiang Hui will also encounter people with higher social status and resources in the future, and will face similar injustices. Little Carl doesn't understand that when he leaves this school, he will inevitably face even more injustices in his life.

Jiang Hui must also understand this: she will not enjoy the resources of a high position forever, and she must learn to accept the disparity of a lower position.

As for Karl's motives, they weren't as reckless and impulsive as some claimed. Firstly, his timing was clearly advantageous, taking advantage of the pre-existing condition of a malfunctioning surveillance system. Furthermore, judging from the generated particle imagery, the other party had obviously been observing for a long time, and everything was meticulously planned. If Jiang Hui hadn't unexpectedly proven himself more capable than he anticipated, the other party would likely have already succeeded and escaped.

Both... The other person was clearly dissatisfied with the entire privileged group in the class, resenting and envying the special "treatment" and "favors" they received. Yet, he dared not choose Chen Wenbai, who was truly at the bottom of the class and received preferential treatment due to his weak constitution, because Chen Wenbai came from the powerful Chen family of Planet Tak, and he certainly didn't dare to lay a hand on Major Merrill's daughter. In the end, he chose Jiang Hui, whose family background seemed the most ordinary and harmless.

Even if the other party doesn't actually fit the group he hates that was given preferential treatment.

So young Carl probably knows this very well, but he's making this choice based on double standards.

Stark didn't want such a morally corrupt person to influence Jiang Hui.

He hoped that Jiang Hui could understand why the strong always remain strong, learn to become strong from within, and not be easily swayed by external forces or the environment.

Regardless of what path this child will take in the future, Stark hopes that he will become a truly strong person.

"As I just told that young Mr. Carl, most of your resources come from your parents, your family, and even from the rights you are entitled to. Since these have come to you, make good use of them. Why think so much?"

"If you really think you're wasting resources by throwing them into someone else's hands, do you think that's a reasonable allocation? Think about it, if these resources fell into the hands of this Mr. Karl today, they might actually cause trouble, and he'd be lucky to get a bite out of you."

“And—don’t you already have the answer yourself?” Stark glanced at Jiang Hui.

Just moments ago, he was worried that his child would be swayed by a bunch of trash talk, but unexpectedly, he met a pair of eyes that were more determined than ever before. He immediately knew that this person already had the answer in his heart and had thought it through very clearly.

She just wanted to give it another push.

Stark was both pleased and couldn't help feeling a little melancholy at the thought process that seemed to have been repeated countless times by their fathers and grandfathers.

"Now you know how hateful it is to have resources and not use them properly," Stark snorted, his meaning clear, and said nothing more.

"Uncle Tang, I'm thinking of continuing down this path, and I want to become stronger."

"Ah."

"You..." Before he could finish speaking, he heard the person next to him suddenly change his breathing. Looking over, he saw that the person had fallen asleep sitting there.

It was already midnight.

Stark helped the person up and placed them on the bunk bed in the medical room. He then drew the curtains and gestured for Lu Jin, who had just returned, to speak outside.

The girl they thought had fallen into a deep sleep had already entered a magical mental space, entered another world, and began her daily routine.

She was experiencing the second unexpected little surprise of the day.

Jiang Hui raised her hand tentatively, making a gesture of support. The book swayed and floated in mid-air, then, as if under a spell, it flipped through the pages with a whooshing sound. At that moment, she could almost hear Hogwarts' own background music.

She looked at her hands, which were unscathed but had a bloody mark from the fight earlier that day, and realized she was in a mental space.

...Her mental control seemed to have become stronger in this space.

Jiang Hui straightened up from the sofa, waved his hand in a very pretentious manner, and as soon as his mind started to work, many large volumes of books suddenly appeared out of nowhere, hovering around him and making quite a spectacle.

Suddenly, the man realized he might have gone a bit too far, and a slight sweat broke out on his forehead. Then, without him noticing something triggering his will, a dozen or so thick tomes began to flip through his fingers, creating a truly terrifying scene.

One moment she was thinking about getting back the "Standard Mecha Expansion" book that the higher-ups had spotted, the next she was distracted by the book with the interesting cover that seemed to be called "Particle Material Analysis," and then she was reminded of a very difficult to memorize book called "The History of XX Progress"... Clearly, Jiang Hui was starting to lose control of her wandering thoughts.

Not only did she not send those dozen or so books back, but a whole bunch of new ones suddenly appeared, moving around like book lids. After a chaotic battle, the last twenty or so books completely lost control, crashing down in a heap that gave Jiang Hui a terrible headache.

Jiang's forty-eight hours that day were truly chaotic and extraordinary.

The school acted swiftly, issuing a public reprimand to Carl the very next day and expelling him. They also published a statement acknowledging the school's negligence in failing to address the issue of malfunctioning security cameras.

Jiang Hui received the school's compensation the next day. She even suspected that it was because she had questioned the principal about the surveillance the day before that the school had sent the promised reward for the rescue during the training exercise as well. This made her doubt her own eyes when she opened her personal terminal after waking up.

The so-called compensation and reward consisted of simple points: 245 points in total, which immediately made her the student with the most points in the entire freshman year. She just didn't yet know how to use them.

But for now, Jiang Hui couldn't quite grasp the joy this reward and compensation brought her. She was temporarily grounded and forced to rest for three days before being allowed to participate in the remaining military training. Thirty days of military training, and four or five days had already been spent recovering from her injuries—she was completely wasting her time. She had just resolved to become stronger; Jiang Hui was utterly exasperated.

With about eight days left until the end of military training, it is already drawing to a close.

Fortunately, she still managed to catch up on the shooting training; otherwise, she would have had to catch up on one more skill when school started.
