Chapter 24 Organizing
Jiang Hui felt that the original owner's brain might really have been damaged. After all, a human brain is composed of four frontal lobes, and this damage to two of them was hard to believe, even though interstellar technology is very advanced.

Won't this cause long-term problems? I can't remember the time anymore, and I'm experiencing time zone differences.

Jiang Hui widened her eyes and checked the time on the personal terminal again, only to find that it was still the same time she had seen before.

Well, either the quantum computer is faulty, or... is timekeeping in interstellar space really that different from that on Earth?
She couldn't figure it out and couldn't sleep anymore, so she had to get out of bed.

Anyway, she hadn't really looked at the house properly, and the original owner's memories didn't seem to be very specific, probably because it hadn't been long since they moved in.

Only now did Jiang Hui finally have time to look at the garden view outside the floor-to-ceiling window. Although it was a simulated night, it looked very real, and the view outside the window was tranquil.

After watching for a while, she got up and wandered around the room. The house was very new, and the bathroom and walk-in closet were empty, with only a few clothes hanging there; she guessed they hadn't bought any new clothes yet.

As I stepped out of the bedroom, the hallway lights flickered on one after another, and the room seemed to light up instantly.

As I walked into the lobby, the air conditioning had already turned on automatically, and a slight airflow rose in the space, instantly bringing some life to the area.

She sat down on a sofa with a design that fit the future concept of Earthlings. She found that although it looked hard on the outside, it rebounded even more slowly than memory foam when a heavy object was pressed down on it, and it felt very soft and comfortable.

Then, after sitting there for a while, I truly began to organize the memories of this body.

She set aside things from the distant past for now, as they had been formed long ago and were buried deep within her mind, difficult to recall. What she could remember now with the slightest movement were mostly those joyful events, vividly colored and deeply rooted in her original body's memories.

Back then, I had parents, relatives, friends, fun things at school, the pride of my first awakening and leveling up, and the curiosity of seeing a mecha for the first time... So many happy memories. The original owner of this body was a very lively and kind girl.

But after her parents sacrificed their lives, the background of her memories gradually became dark. The people and things she saw became increasingly faint, and it was as if there was no color in her eyes.

Her eventual decision to leave the planet that raised her wasn't due to any dark secrets, nor was it simply a matter of right or wrong, and her family hadn't wronged her; it was simply that she no longer wanted to stay there. So, when an opportunity presented itself, she left with hope, seeking a new beginning.

Unfortunately, life is unpredictable. The original owner of this body arrived in this completely new environment and before she could even properly plan for her future, she died in an accident.

Now Jiang Hui finally remembered how the original owner of this body had gotten into this accident. It wasn't entirely unfair to the Hailusi Group; the culprit behind the original owner's undeserved misfortune was that TM series robot.

The smart system was purchased along with the furniture and renovations; it was a brand new product that had never been disassembled. The original owner of this body hadn't paid attention to it at the time, because her home smart system in the inner star system had never had any problems from childhood to adulthood, assuming that all such things were the same. She had selected a recommended brand when choosing the smart system.

Unexpectedly, the TM series from the Hailusi Group turned out to be a scam. It started freezing frequently after only a day or two, which greatly annoyed the original owner.

I was planning to report the return the next day, but something went wrong that night. This damn thing suddenly went off with an automatic alarm in the middle of the night, startling me awake, and then it went silent.

When the original owner tried to see what it was doing, the sub-robot connected to the intelligent system suddenly malfunctioned and went out of control, knocking her down. And unfortunately, the back of her head landed directly on the table next to her, and that's how it happened.

Unfortunately, the robot connected to the intelligent system shut down automatically at that moment, leading to the tragedy that followed. What a tragicomedy with all the interconnected events! The pitiful tragedy is the loss of the innocent young life of the original owner, and the rest is just a farcical farce.

Intelligent systems, even furniture-based intelligent systems, are already quite common in the interstellar world, and the industry has reached a very mature stage. Interstellar history has rarely seen technological breakthroughs; these systems have always been helpful assistants to interstellar people. The TM series from the Hailusi Group is almost a disgrace in the history of interstellar intelligent systems.

So the Hailusi Group did not disappoint her intuition. They dared to keep selling this kind of thing. They are truly the worst of the worst, the scum of the high-tech manufacturing industry.

Jiang Hui was at a loss for words.

After sorting through her fragmented memories, she checked the time and realized it was already past midnight, yet she still couldn't fall asleep.

Thinking that she had only eaten lunch that day and nothing else, Jiang Hui, feeling lazy, sat up from the sofa and walked towards the open kitchen on the side, intending to find something to fill her stomach.

Ugh, here comes another set of incomprehensible smart kitchen tools: weirdly shaped grooves, wrench-like things, and some incomprehensible composite boards...emmm, the original owner of this body was never good at cooking at home, so she couldn't understand these things at all.

She stared at the various automated tools in the kitchen for a long time before finally deciding to rummage through the refrigerator for the fast food from the original owner's memories.

Finally, she found something she could use. Jiang Hui pressed a button next to her, and a screen of light suddenly lit up in a place resembling a metal double door next to the open kitchen. Rows of information were displayed on top, like a list, and at the bottom was a familiar interface-like area.

Jiang Hui glanced at the list and could barely make out that these were all ingredients.

So this must be the refrigerator?

Sure enough, after a while, the double doors pushed inwards, revealing a wall full of "clutter". Jiang Hui looked up and studied it. Although it was a refrigerator, it wasn't cold at all. Instead, there was a strange white mist floating inside. She guessed that this must be the secret of how the interstellar people kept things fresh.

She finally managed to rummage through the pile and find a familiar ready-to-eat meal box, then placed it in the semi-finished product processing cabinet next to her, as instructed.

"Ding—" It was finished in less than half a second.

Seemingly already feeling the satisfaction of being full, she couldn't wait to take it out, open the packaging box, and prepare to have a big meal.

However, when she saw what was inside the disposable lunchbox, her expression immediately froze.

Instant noodles.

God knows why, even after reaching interstellar space, she still couldn't escape the fate of eating instant noodles...
