Chapter 459 Aaron Hillman

The day that everyone had agreed upon arrived quickly.

Zhou Xiuwen said he probably wouldn't have time, and in the end, he really didn't have time. He even reportedly left school half a day early. So in the end, only Jiang Hui, Clarence, and Huan Xian went to Hillman's house.

Jiang Hui originally wanted to go home, but Hillman interrupted him, suggesting they all take a private spaceship to his house. That evening, his father specially arranged for a top-tier natural cuisine team based in the galaxy to treat them.

This clearly meant everything had been arranged, and unable to refuse such hospitality, Jiang Hui finally gave in and boarded Hillman's private spaceship.

However, she hadn't expected the Hillman family to take this invitation so seriously, even sending the main house's butler to greet her. She had initially thought Hillman's words about providing special hospitality were just polite formalities.

This old butler, named Dewey, has served the Hillman family for nearly 350 years and, barring any unforeseen circumstances, will spend the rest of his life with them. Even by interstellar standards, he is a true elder.

At his age, he should have been enjoying his retirement. However, this old man had probably lived in the Hillman's house for too long, and having never married and had no other relatives, he simply made the house his own, spending time with the children he had watched grow up.

The Hillman family was small, with few members even in the branches, let alone the main branch. Hillman's grandfather, Frank Hillman, had served in the army briefly before being forced to leave after his father's accidental death and return to the family to inherit the business.

For the next hundred years or so, he dedicated himself to developing the family business, bringing the Hillman family to its zenith. However, he was relatively late in reaping the rewards of his own life, not having his father, Aaron Hillman, until he was over two hundred years old. In the galaxy, being a grandfather or even a great-grandfather at that age is quite common.

The Hillman family's development then entered a relatively stable phase. Aaron Hillman resembled his father very much. Rumors circulated that this future head of the family had inherited his father, Old Hillman's, skills and methods, and even surpassed him, because he had a very deceptive face, with nine parts gentleness and a very refined demeanor.

Although he has not yet taken over as the head of the family, just by seeing how he treats people like a gentle spring breeze and how he sweeps away enemies in the industry with thunderous force, one can tell that he will be a future revivalist.

Unlike his father, Aaron Hillman's life took a fairly normal path. He married a woman from a fallen aristocratic family in the central sector at the right age. The couple lived happily together for many years and had five children.

The eldest and second sons were born early and are now of marriageable age. Both are currently learning household affairs from their father.

The third daughter is already married and living a happy and fulfilling life, much less of a worry for her than her two older brothers. The fourth daughter works at the Imperial Research Center; she's always been independent and doesn't require much attention either. The youngest son was born later and is still quite young; he doesn't have to worry about household matters, so the family has always doted on him.

However, the education of his youngest son is also a problem. It's one thing for him to be immature now, after all, he's still young and can be taught slowly, but the world doesn't have that much patience to wait for him to grow up.

This guy possesses such extraordinary talent, yet harbors a complacent and unambitious mindset. If he truly wishes to live a life of idleness, it's not impossible, because the Hillman family already has members carrying the burden; there's no need to drag another one down. Their efforts are driven by the desire to ensure their descendants have the right to choose.

However, Aaron still hoped that his youngest son, Al, could be more responsible for himself. People can live freely and unrestrainedly, but they cannot be aimless and disorganized. Things that need to be done still need to be done, and things that need to be understood will be understood sooner or later. No one can stay in an ivory tower forever and never grow up.

Fortunately, their lives are back on track, and the couple finally have time to take care of their child. But right now, it seems... there's nothing to worry about?
Since the other person started school, they have become more sensible and made new friends, and they are much more mature than before, which makes Aaron feel much more at ease.

Unlike Zhou Yuanjing, although his family was quite wealthy, they were ultimately just merchants, so there was no need for any important figures to specifically approach him. As long as his children made friends and their character was good, they were all good children.

He wasn't thinking about scrutinizing anything; he simply wanted to invite his youngest son's friends over for a visit.

That poor kid of mine must have been taken care of by others a lot on a regular basis.

He even set up a chamber of commerce specifically for this purpose, and made time to get to know these children.

Unfortunately, his wife had to return to the central sector due to some family matters, so the couple were separated and unable to host Hillman's friends together.

“Grandpa Dewey.” Hillman looked at the person who shouldn’t have been on the spaceship with great surprise.

"Hehe, young master, it's time to go home." The old man had a kind face and a beard with many silver strands, but it was neatly combed, showing that he was a very respectable person.

The other party greeted Hillman gently, then looked at Jiang Hui and the others following behind him: "You must be our young master's friends. My young master has received a lot of care from you. Come, please sit here. Everything is ready. You can rest for a while, and I'll have someone bring you some food."

Jiang Hui felt that among the group, she was the most ignorant, because she had rarely encountered this kind of symptom. In the society she lived in in her previous life, there were no such terms, and she almost never came into contact with the kind of social class where a butler would follow you around gently calling you "Young Master".

She's probably feeling a bit disoriented and confused right now.

Watching the old butler go to the aircraft's storage compartment to prepare his things, Jiang Hui muttered softly, "...He really is a young master."

Hillman blushed, realizing that she was in front of her friends and everyone was watching. Unconsciously, she acted like she was at home, behaving in a way that resembled being affectionate with the butler.

His family members were used to it and didn't say anything, but in front of his friends... he suddenly became incredibly embarrassed.

Clarence, whether he didn't hear or pretended not to, was looking down at the weekly magazine. If his shoulders hadn't shrugged slightly a few times, Jiang Hui would probably have really believed he was reading.

As for Huan Xian, he had even less to worry about. This guy, who rarely showed any expression, couldn't help but smile and chuckle, which immediately made the other person even more embarrassed.

Seeing that someone was getting angry, Jiang Hui immediately changed the subject, saying, "By the way, what did the butler say he was going to bring us?"

Then someone's attention was easily diverted, and they instantly forgot the awkwardness from before; they were really easy to coax.
