Chapter 702 Rectification
A freshman, who was labeled as "fierce," was struggling to finish up with his friends.

In the end, Zhou Xiuwen didn't really cry. He only regretted not reuniting with Jiang Hui sooner, otherwise he wouldn't have had to take so many detours.

If some people who have been watching this for a long time knew what he was thinking, they would probably criticize him... Please, how much have you actually walked?! It feels like you've been lying down the whole time, hasn't it?

Zhou Xiuwen felt like he was about to die of boredom. He walked around but didn't run into any of his friends. The people around were either idiots or arrogance. They weren't much smarter than him but were just acting all high and mighty. He really didn't want to cooperate with these people.

Fortunately, he met his good partner Jiang Hui before the end of the unified entrance examination, otherwise he might have really made it to the end like this.

Zhou Xiuwen is actually a very "slow" person. His "slowness" is not only reflected in his work, but also in his decision-making.

Jiang Hui had always felt that this guy did everything at a leisurely pace, even turning the pages of a book was a slow and drawn-out process. Although she respected his personal style, he was sometimes just too slow, making her want to go up and help him out sometimes.

However, after some events and a little more understanding, Jiang Hui began to think that his behavior wasn't necessarily a bad thing. His situation was far more complicated than she had imagined, and in this case, "slow" might be his best way to cope. Sometimes, Jiang Hui was even somewhat glad that he had this kind of personality, because this "slow" behavior, to some extent, represented a certain ability to withstand pressure; otherwise, how unbearable it would be if a huge burden suddenly fell on his shoulders in the future.

So, under the intentional or unintentional "indulgence" of his father and friends, the person became increasingly "lazy" and "slow".

However, though he may be "slow," he is quite decisive when it comes to getting things done. He certainly couldn't be a mere accessory when he encountered Jiang Hui, which led to this coordinated attack from within and without.

In Zhou Xiuwen's view, Ahui had always been the most capable among them, a fact beyond doubt. Even Huan Xian, the most resourceful among them, had a strange, inexplicable "superstition" about this friend. Anyone could fall into hardship, but they always believed that the other would always be able to stand out on the path most suitable for them.

So when he saw Jiang Hui, he was not surprised at all and went straight to his friend's camp without hesitation, turning the tables without even blinking.

His idea was, of course, to lie down and enjoy watching his friend dominate the battlefield. He felt that no one understood flexibility and adaptability better than his friend, who could always find a suitable position to shine.

It's true, I'm not kidding. Whenever his friend is around, and whenever the other party joins the war, no one can lie still until the end. The other party has the power to stir up the whole stagnant pool.

"...Did you hear me?" the other person asked, raising their voice slightly, instantly pulling Zhou Xiuwen back from his wandering thoughts.

"Uh... um." Zhou Xiuwen shook his head honestly. Jiang Hui looked at him speechlessly, then repeated herself, albeit in a relatively good-natured manner, about her general plans for the future.

Although he was slightly distracted when he first heard it, Zhou Xiuwen, being a child raised in the military, immediately grasped the key point: "You're planning to step in?"

Jiang Hui nodded. Her previous infiltration was merely a temporary measure, not the proper path. Although she was not bound by circumstances or concerned with methods, if given a choice, Jiang Hui would naturally prefer to confront powerful figures head-on.

Besides, she's been hiding in the shadows for a while now, so there has to be a time for her to see the light of day.

Moreover, she couldn't manage on her own before, and she wasn't very good at using others. Now that she finally has someone she can "exploit" with confidence, Jiang Hui has no choice but to make use of them.

But before that, she still needed to clean up the mess. This "battle" had started high but ended poorly...

The great battle had just ended, and the final result was a crushing defeat for both sides. The outcome was not exactly good, but it was still a relatively ideal result—at least for Jiang Hui, it was much better than she had expected.

Before either side could react, Jiang Hui needed to make good use of this brief window of opportunity, lest things become difficult once everyone realized what was happening.

While discussing the matter with Zhou Xiuwen, Jiang Hui seized every opportunity to organize people to clean up the mess.

The team was reorganized, provided that all of them were integrated into her network for easier management. However, Jiang Hui found it a little difficult to distinguish whether they were from the West or Yara.

Thinking of this, Jiang Hui couldn't help but feel fortunate that she had been decisive enough to send the most troublesome candidate out of the examination hall. Otherwise, let alone controlling the candidate, just guarding against him would have exhausted all her energy and time.

After a flurry of activity, Jiang Hui finally remembered to ask Zhou Xiuwen about his recent activities. However, a slight sound came from behind the door, and the two of them fell silent almost simultaneously, both looking towards the doorway.

To be fair, Jiang Hui had largely brought this diverse group of remnants of the army under control. While he couldn't say he had them all tied to one rope, he had at least managed to keep them under control.

Jiang Hui used them as tiny dots, spreading them out in her own woven mental network, thus firmly grasping the situation in this area. After all, she herself had risen to power through infiltration, so naturally she was more careful in this regard, lest someone else be brought down by the same means.

So even though they were all focused on him, Jiang Hui could still guess who was outside just by following the threads of his spiritual energy. Those people probably hadn't recovered from the fact that they were being controlled by some random outsider, so while they were cooperating, they didn't really like to get close to him.

Aside from the person who came with her, there was only one other person who would actively approach him.

The other person brazenly used his mental energy to greet her, letting Jiang Hui know he had arrived. After receiving her permission, he confidently pushed open the door and walked in. He then found a seat and sat down, not paying attention to what Jiang Hui had been discussing with Zhou Xiuwen.

This guy doesn't seem right... Could it be that he interacted with Yara like this before? This kind of behavior is really infuriating.

Seeing that the two of them were looking at him, the other person raised his hand in a gesture that said, "Do as you please, continue," as if he would not disturb them at all.

How are they supposed to keep talking like this? Does this guy even know the meaning of "a sense of propriety"?!

Jiang Hui had no choice but to pause her conversation with her old friend and then stroll over to the sofa in front of him and sit down.

"What's up?" This guy doesn't act without a clear objective; he's a typical target. He wouldn't come to her place for no reason. He must have something to tell her.
