Being fooled by fierce beasts to travel through the beginning is fleeing famine
Chapter 383 Huilong Mountain
They didn't get up early the next day. After all, no one came to pay New Year's greetings, and they didn't need to go to pay New Year's greetings to others, so there was no need to get up early.
They slept in the space until about eight o'clock. Qingyan and the three of them washed up before coming out of the space.
When I went downstairs, I found on the stairs that the boss and the five people had just woken up. They had celebrated New Year's Eve together yesterday, and they became familiar with each other. They happened to have breakfast together in the lobby of the inn.
What I ate was porridge made from the leftover rice from last night, as well as a few delicious pickles, especially a small plate of fermented bean curd, which is a specialty here. It has a stronger taste and is very delicious.
Soon they finished eating. Qingyan and the others were going to go out for a walk and asked them if they wanted to go together.
The boss is not interested. After all, he has been tired of seeing these things every year. Besides, he is the only one in the inn and he has to look after the store.
Those five people were not in the mood, so in the end only Qingyan and the others went out.
They went directly to Bailu Mountain. The shops on the street here were all closed. Only a few people passed by occasionally and it was not lively. On the contrary, there were many people when they walked to the south of the city. There was a market here before, so the planning was also fine.
The Bailu Mountain they want to go to is in the south, and they have to cross a bridge. The mountain is on the south bank of the bridge.
When walking that way, I met many people walking that way.
It's almost 10 o'clock now. At this time, some people who went to relatives' houses to pay New Year greetings are almost finished, and they all want to go to the temple fair to watch the excitement.
Everyone was talking about one thing along the way, which was that a group of grown men were tied up outside the Yamen in the morning.
They were all guessing where so many prisoners came from. The reason why they guessed that they were prisoners was because they were tied up and at the Yamen Gate. They must have committed something.
Qingyan put her consciousness to the Yamen side and took a look. She saw that there were people tied up in the lobby, in the courtyard and outside the door.
Qingyan knew that Chou Chou had brought in those robbers with lives on them yesterday. She only thought there were more than ten or twenty, but she didn't expect so many. There must be sixty or seventy of them. They were all quite strong. That county The lobby of the government office is really full.
And those people didn't know if it was because the effects of the medicine had not worn off yet. Only a few woke up, and the rest were still asleep.
In the lobby, there were a few people who had woken up and were being interrogated. Those people were also confused and had no idea how they got here.
Qingyan observed the officials for a while and found no collusion with the robbers, so she felt relieved, otherwise Chou Chou would have been working in vain.
Yiyang County is not a very big town, so they strolled for twenty minutes and arrived at the foot of Bailu Mountain. It was really lively here, and many people selling gadgets and food had already set up stalls.
They went to Bailu Temple first. Since it was a temple fair, there must be a Dharma assembly in the temple.
Bailu Temple was built in the Yuanhe period of Xianzong of the Tang Dynasty. It was built in a place with beautiful scenery and a place where wind and energy gather.
It is grand in scale, magnificent in construction, with sparse green and red doors, swallowing the wind and moon, flying eaves and tiles, floating clouds and smoke, bells ringing harmoniously, and beads and nets interspersed.
It should undoubtedly be considered in its heyday now, and it is the most majestic and spectacular building in the area.
There are four entrances to the temple. The first entrance is the Maitreya Buddha Hall, with the four heavenly kings on the left and right.
The second entrance is the Guanyin Hall, and the left and right are Buddhist halls.
The third entrance is the Main Hall, with the Eighteen Arhats on the left and right, the left wing is the meditation hall, the right wing is the fasting room, and the fourth entrance is the Medicine Master's Hall and the Sutra Collection Building.
Now there are more than a hundred monks living in the temple alone, which shows the scale of the temple.
There are two origins of the name of Bailu Temple. One is that it is due to a myth.
When Pei Xiu, the famous prime minister of the Tang Dynasty, was demoted to be the envoy of Jingnan, he came to Yiyang several times and lived in the mountains beside the river with lush ancient trees.
Pei Xiu was a well-educated man who loved Buddhism. In the dead of night, he held a candle and read on the mountain. His loud chanting attracted a fairy white deer to stop and listen. Every night as long as the sound of the sutras was heard, the fairy white deer would fly to listen to the sutras.
One night, the secret of White Deer's listening to scriptures was discovered, and the magic secret was revealed, and the White Deer never came back again.
In order to commemorate the immortal Bailu who listened to the scriptures, the mountain people named the geomantic treasure place where Bailu stopped to listen to the scriptures Bailu Mountain. They built a temple at the foot of the mountain and named it Bailu Temple.
The other is that on the shore of Zishui in Yiyang, the plague is rampant, with injuries and deaths everywhere, all the doctors are helpless, the officials are as anxious as ants, and the people are crying for help.
Believers prayed in front of the Buddha, opened water and land monasteries, and monks chanted sutras and prayed.
After a few days, I suddenly saw a white deer with colorful auspicious clouds under its feet. His eyes were clear, his expression was peaceful, and a precious light shone on his body. He walked around the temple three times and then left on a cloud.
The next day, the white deer came back with a piece of grass in its mouth and left it in the temple.
Everyone was astonished, and the abbot said happily: "The sacred deer left a piece of grass alone, which should be a panacea."
At that time, the monks searched for grass and distributed it to everyone. However, since then, the plague has been driven away, the people are in tears, burning incense and worshiping the Three Treasures, and the white deer holding flowers in its mouth has become famous in the south of the Yangtze River.
In order to thank Buddha for his kindness, the temple was renamed "White Deer Temple".
Moreover, the fermented bean curd they eat in the morning is produced here. According to legend, in the Tang Dynasty, a monk from Bailu Temple made some tofu. He went out for a few days for something, and when he came back, the tofu had become moldy.
The monks had the instinct to save, so they reluctantly threw it away, so they mixed a little seasoning and tried to eat it. They found that it tasted good, and today's bean curd was born.
And this place is not called fermented bean curd. The ancients were taboo about saying the four characters dragon, tiger, ghost and dream in the morning. The word fermented bean curd here would be pronounced as "tiger" because of the accent, so it was changed.
The character tiger is usually said to mean a big cat, and it also means having more than enough year after year. Therefore, people in Yiyang, the birthplace of fermented bean curd, call fermented bean curd "Mao Yu".
When they entered the temple, there were already many people inside. Not only were there people in each of the main halls, there were also many people gathered in the courtyard.
It felt like people from the entire Yiyang County were here.
Qingyan and the others walked around the temple and went out because there were so many people.
They have little interest in rituals, after all, they do not believe in Buddhism.
When they walked outside, singing was already starting on the makeshift stage. Qingyan and the others stood there and listened for a while before losing interest.
Although I can understand it, the content is too monotonous and not attractive at all.
After that, they visited various small stalls and bought a lot of gadgets and food. They drank some porridge in the morning and were not full at all. After walking all the way, they were already hungry again.
They ate from one stall to the next, and they didn't stop until their stomachs were filled to the point where Qingyan was holding on to her waist and walking away.
They also bought a lot more and took them away. Because there were people everywhere, they had no chance to take in the space, so when they left, everyone was carrying a lot of things in their hands.
After they finished shopping, they stopped shopping and left the temple fair directly, planning to go to Bailu Mountain to have a look.
When he reached a place where no one was around, he quickly put the things in his hands into the space, and then walked up the mountain lightly again. Bailu Mountain is not high. They quickly reached the top of the mountain. Qingyan curiously searched the whole place with her spiritual sense, but found no trace of the white deer, not even other deer.
He said with a disappointed look on his face: "It seems like it is really a legend. There is no such thing as a white deer. I have never seen a white deer except in cartoons. It seems like it is just a legend."
Chou Chou smiled and shook his head and said: "White deer have existed throughout the ages, but there are too few, so they are precious and even mythical.
Some of them really suffered from what later generations called albinism. I saw it once in the north of later generations. The deer had no aura at all and was weaker than other deer. "
Qingyan raised her eyebrows, "It really does exist. When you get back, take me to see it. I'm really curious about what a white deer looks like.
By the way, does it also have plum blossom patterns on it? Or pure white? Are there horns on your head? "
Chou Chou shook his head, "No, it's pure white. What I saw was a doe with no horns. I almost mistaken it for a goat at first, but when I got closer, I saw it was a deer.
The group of deer were all sika deer, and only one of them was white, so he must be sick. "
Qingyan nodded, maybe the legendary white deer came here like this before, forget it, never mind it, it’s invisible now anyway.
There was nothing interesting about this mountain, so she directed her spiritual consciousness to Huilong Mountain not far away.
She just heard that there is also a temple on Longshan Mountain, called Baoquan Temple. It was built in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, hundreds of years earlier than the Bailu Temple.
It's just that the temple is on the top of Huilong Mountain and is not as big as Bailu Mountain, so there are fewer people going there.
Qingyan looked over with her spiritual sense and immediately saw that there were only a few monks in Baoquan Temple, only about twenty. Compared with the bustle of Bailu Temple today, it can be said that it was very deserted here.
There was a jade Buddha in the temple, and Qingyan intuitively felt that it was extraordinary.
Sure enough, after she told Chou Chou, Chou Chou told her that there was a lot of merit and golden light on the Buddha statue.
In fact, as long as it is a slightly more efficacious temple, the Buddha statues inside will have more or less merit and golden light.
It's just that the Buddha statues and gods in the temples are generally made of stone or clay sculptures, which cannot be stored as well as the jade ones.
Just like spirit stones, the best and top-grade ones can store and absorb spiritual energy, and can be replenished after they are used up, while the middle- and low-grade ones can only be stored and become empty after they are used up.
This jade Buddha statue is equivalent to a high-grade spiritual stone. It can not only store merits, but also absorb merits. The clay sculpture cannot compare even if it has a golden body.
Qingyan sighed, "It would be great if Chou Chou was here. If I could take away that merit, I might be able to advance to another level."
Chou Chou rolled his eyes, and when he mentioned his old rival, he couldn't help but retaliate, "That guy claims to be kind every day, but he doesn't work hard to collect merit from others. It's easy for others to accumulate some merit... …”
Seeing that it was about to attack Xiangxiang again, Qingyan quickly changed the subject, "Huh? Where is the place down there? Why do I feel that the spiritual energy there is more abundant than elsewhere!"
I originally wanted to interrupt Chou Chou's conversation, but unexpectedly I discovered an unusual place.
"It is a valley and a small dragon vein. This kind of place is very suitable for a cemetery."
Chou Chou looked at where Qing Yan was pointing and explained to her.
Qingyan: "Now Longshan Mountain is exactly as its name suggests. It lives up to the word "dragon" in its name, and it even has small dragon veins.
Then there wasn’t a Dragon King here before, right? Isn't it to say that in the past, every river and lake was not guarded by a dragon king? "
Chou Chou nodded, "It's possible, but I can't see it now. This world seems to be cleaning up the mythical beasts left over from ancient times, making them either sleep or disappear..."
Jin Yang also felt that this was the case. If it hadn't happened to meet two outsiders, Chou Chou and Qing Yan, it might not have been able to see the light of day again, and it might have dissipated one day.
While chatting, they descended from Bailu Mountain and headed towards Huilong Mountain.
The two mountains are adjacent to each other, so it didn't take long for them to appear on Huilong Mountain.
They entered Baoquan Temple and put incense on the jade Buddha statue in a decent manner, without kneeling down.
They don't kneel down to worship because they don't believe in Buddha, but they burn incense because the rich golden light of merit and merit in it makes it worth their while.
After I finished offering the incense, I also added some money for sesame oil, so the monk from the temple stayed here to have a vegetarian meal.
Because they had eaten a lot of snacks before and were not hungry, they felt full after eating a little.
After finishing their fast meal, they left and went directly to the valley below.
This valley is not big. It is similar to the valley where the monkeys stayed on Junshan Island before, except that there are more trees here.
In addition, there is a stream flowing through, the trees are lush and green, and the gurgling water of the stream goes straight to the bottom of my heart.
The lush leaves cover the shape of the mountain, and the varying shades of green cascade up the mountain. This idea should only exist in the sky, and it is really difficult for the master of painting to do it.
"The scenery here is so beautiful. If it weren't for the wrong season now, I would really like to stay here for two days."
Qingyan looked around in circles and sighed to Chou Chou and Jin Yang.
Chou Chou and Jin Yang also looked at the scenery here. It was indeed beautiful, even more beautiful than the mountains and forests in Jin Yang's space.
Jin Yang thought of something and said: "I will also change the layout of the mountain later and follow this. After a while, it may be even more beautiful than here."
Qingyan's eyes lit up, "Yes! Why didn't I think of it? You can control things in space."
Then he sighed again, "Hey~ It would be great if there were mountains and forests in my space. I would also change it like this, but it's a pity that there is nothing in it."
Chou Chou looked at the trees, rocks and streams, and said to Qingyan: "Actually, you can also build a small one, just like the rockery landscaping in later generations, put in some rocks and trees, and then use the siphon phenomenon to create A cycle of running water will be enough..."
The more it talked, the brighter Qingyan's eyes became, and it simply dragged Chou Chou and Jin Yang into action.
Of course, we didn't use the trees and stones here. After all, we had to refer to the scenery here. It would be bad if it was damaged, so we used those from other places on the mountain.
Jin Yang is responsible for digging trees, Chou Chou is responsible for making stones, and Qingyan is responsible for collecting stream water into the space. Yes, the stream water here is used.
She did not destroy the food and fruit trees she had planted before, which were the fruits of the labor of the four bears.
Because there were not enough grains before, there was still an open space next to it, which was perfect for placing rockeries and landscaping.
