I, the only extraordinary in this world

Chapter 73 Musheli Bodhisattva

Chapter 73 Musheli Bodhisattva

【Musheri Bodhisattva】This appellation should be divided into two parts, one half is "Musheri" and the other half is "Bodhisattva".

The word Musheli is easy to understand, but it is just a title. According to the diary records, it was written in Chinese characters with a pronunciation similar to Hebrew. The original meaning is "bright light".

As for why he used an irrelevant language like Hebrew, the diary did not say, and it was difficult for Li Heng to guess.

Let's just think it's a bit xenophobic, but it also reflects that this person had a good knowledge reserve in the beginning, and he even knew this ancient language.

The word "Bodhisattva" is the key point. This does not mean that "that thing" is a god in human form, or an image similar to gods such as Guanshiyin Bodhisattva and Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.

He used a lot of space in his diary to record his inner thoughts at that time. It was he who thought for a long time before deciding to use "Bodhisattva" to explain "that thing".

The true translation of Bodhisattva is "feeling sentient beings", seeking Bodhi with wisdom, and transforming sentient beings with compassion. In Buddhism, enlightenment is emphasized. "Connected" is not like the Buddha's "consummation of enlightenment and practice".

And he believes that the complete enlightened being, the ultimate carrier of wisdom, is a transparent and detached existence, so it cannot be seen by human eyes. Therefore, he did not call "that thing" "Buddha", but the last one of Buddha. Stage "Bodhisattva".

Both enlightened and detached yet tangible entity, connected with sentient beings and seen by the eyes of all beings.

It can be seen that in this person's understanding, what kind of existence "that thing" is, it needs so many descriptions to describe it.

But here, from the beginning to the end, he did not really describe the physical image of "that thing", that is, the so-called "Musheri Bodhisattva". comprehension.

Therefore, the word "Bodhisattva" is more of an abstract and vague description than a concrete representation of "that thing".

The reason why he used "Bodhisattva" to refer to it was because he felt that it was very suitable to use the concept of Bodhisattva in Buddhism to refer to "that thing", instead of actually seeing a humanoid Bodhisattva in front of him like the one in the portrait or on TV. walked over.

So Li Heng felt that the "thing" he saw was probably not in human form, otherwise he would have described it directly as a human, instead of spending so much time rambling back and forth to describe the abstract concepts in his mind.

But it is obvious that the people who built the temple and the statues did not understand what he meant.

【Tree Immortal Method】It is obviously impossible to complete it by one person, so he must have someone to help him clean up his body and head, and complete the next steps, and finally enshrine it here.

As for the enshrining method, there is no clear statement in "Yi Xian Can Zhai Ban", it just needs to put the head where the primordial spirit is on the "Crouching Tiger".

But out of personal obsession, this person must have explained it in advance, and the enshrined here is named "Musheli Bodhisattva".

However, the people who followed up did not understand the abstract concepts in his mind, so they literally built a Bodhisattva temple, and because the Bodhisattva named "Musheli" could not be found in Buddhism, so when making the statue, Can't even shape the face.

Not only that, but this very abstract and indescribable "Musheri Bodhisattva" made him miss it for a long time, and he came up with the idea that only "becoming a fairy" can see it again.

And this idea was so ingrained in his mind that it became the only obsession for the rest of his life.

From then on, he began a 30-year journey of seeking Taoism and cultivating immortality, studying alchemy, geomantic omen, Yi learning and arithmetic, Zen Buddhism...

However, as time went on and decades passed, there was still no sign of Dan Cheng's ascension to immortality. His obsession made him more anxious and desperate, and in the end, he directly used the ancient magic weapon of unknown origin in order to become immortal. Forbidden law.

And all of this is actually just that he wants to see "Musheri Bodhisattva" and "that thing" again.

"A learned man on the verge of madness"

Li Heng didn't know what could make him so obsessed, but he couldn't understand and accept this kind of path of seeking Tao and trying methods that cost his life.

Although it is possible to die after hearing the Tao from morning to evening, it is useless to see him again even if his life is gone, not to mention that he has already given his life away without even seeing the "Tao".

"But what he left behind is a huge treasure!"

As he said, there are true spirits in the world, but no legal person.

But he was still wrong. It is not that there are no legal persons in the world, but that legal person is not him.

That's right, after observing these manuscripts, drawings, and practice methods repeatedly, Li Heng felt that maybe these things could be used by him.

Just like the magically reformed "Nei Jing Diagram", neither he himself nor his latecomer Chen Zhouhe can fully reflect the modified methods of practice, and many changes in luck cannot be achieved by normal human bodies.

In a sense, his boldness and wisdom have touched the true meaning of cultivation, but his mortal body cannot support him on this path.

But Li Heng is different. He already possesses the limit of human body, and he is fundamentally different from ordinary people on the level of physiological basis.

Even after studying these remaining manuscripts and illustrated scriptures more thoroughly, Li Heng felt inexplicably surprised. The many practices and changes that this person created and summed up seemed to be for himself to learn and use today!
But this kind of thinking is a bit conceited and arrogant. It steals the wisdom of the predecessors and needs to establish a memorial archway to justify it.

"Brother Chen, are you alright? The smell is too bad, I'm afraid you will be poisoned if you stay for a long time."

Chen Zhouhe's concerned voice came from above the tunnel.

"Well, I'll be up soon"

Li Heng responded, and then began to move a large number of manuscripts and documents underneath, and slowly transported these old objects outside. As for the murals and floating paintings that could not be transported, he could only take photos stored in the phone.

Seeing these "treasures" come to light again, Li Heng was very happy in his heart. If these crystallizations of wisdom were allowed to sleep under the loess soil and rot into ashes over time, it would be a waste of everything.

This is a seeker with great wisdom, who gave up his life's glory and wealth and spent 30 years of hard work to accumulate the supreme wealth!
It's a pity that their owner doesn't cherish them, and just chases after that ethereal existence that even he himself can't describe clearly.

Even in order to pursue that unknown thing, he even gave up his life, trying the forbidden method with his life, and finally ended up in the end of impermanence.

Back in the earth temple again, Li Heng looked up at the faceless statue that he had moved aside.

If he was right, that head should be sealed in the statue now.
