Chapter 10 On Language Communication Issues
After checking the paper carefully, the Sichuan dialect of the Song Dynasty was called Liang Yi dialect.

At that time, Shaanxi dialect and Sichuan dialect (including Hanzhong) were collectively referred to as "Western dialect" by the Song people. They were slightly different, but roughly equivalent.

The Sichuan dialect closest to the pronunciation of the Song Dynasty is the modern Leshan dialect.But it is not exactly the same as the Leshan dialect. It is mainly inherited from the Qin and Jin dialects, and has a certain fusion with the ancient Shu dialect.

For example, in the Western dialect of the Song Dynasty, "Douzi" is pronounced "Doubi" in Sichuan dialect, and "Doubi" in Shaanxi dialect. In fact, they all come from the word "Douzi".

The official dialect of the Song Dynasty was Luoyang dialect, while the Western dialect of Shaanxi and Sichuan at that time was close to Chang'an dialect.

Take the word "pig" as an example, the pronunciation of Luoyang is "diao", and the pronunciation of Chang'an is "pig" or "彘".

Even in the Luoyang dialect of the Song Dynasty, compared with modern Mandarin, about half of them can be understood.For those words that can be understood, the vowels and tones of the mother mother are not exactly the same, but it will not take too much effort, and the meaning can be understood subconsciously.For the rest of those who don't understand, some of them can even be guessed.

Of course, some of them have changed so much that I don't even know how to guess.
