Chapter 24 The Father and Son Arguing

Chapter 24 The Father and Son Arguing
Jalesto and Tertullian.

One of them is a priest, the other is a hunter, and they are brothers, so they should be close.

However, contrary to expectations, Tertullian did not want to see his brother Alesto.

Coincidentally, Jalesto didn't like to see his younger brother either.

Tertullian found his father in the Garden of Laws.

Ar and the priests were sitting in a wheat field, and Tertullian looked at his father's long white hair in surprise, as if a spider was about to crawl out of it.

Tertullian was stunned, he didn't expect his father to be so old, so he couldn't help walking forward.

Immediately afterwards, he saw a familiar figure flickering in the wheat field, it was Alesto.

Deltu felt disgusted in his conscience and stopped his steps.

Yar was sitting surrounded by the priests, and he was telling something to the crowd, and among the crowd, Alesto was the closest to Yar.

Tertullian could not help feeling bored.

He didn't know where this boredom came from, was it jealousy, disgust... Anyway, he never liked his brother.

I am strong, my elder brother is thin, I am courageous, my elder brother is extremely cautious, I am good at hunting and fighting, but my elder brother is often indulged in the laws of the world and the revelation of God.

There are so many differences between himself and his father, but Alesto is so similar to his father.

Looking at the father and son in the Garden of Laws, Deltullian stopped in his tracks. He clenched his fists and hesitated for a long time, but finally he did not step into the Garden of Laws.

In the law garden,

Ars and Alesto did not notice that Tertullian had been there.

Jalesto held a bunch of ears of wheat in his hands, pointed to them, and shared his new discovery with his father:
"Father, someone tried to grind these ears of wheat and put water in them, and you know what, Father, they stuck together like dirt. I heard the rumor, tried it once, and it really stuck Together, it is easier to swallow than before."

Although the Prophet Al was old, he was still in good spirits. He carefully examined the ears of wheat in Jalesto's hand, and then said:
"Jaresto, I have discussed with you many times, wheat ears can never be the foundation of a great country, no one in this world lacks meat and berries."

Jalesto put his hand away, seeing his father denying himself again, anger welled up in his heart, and said:

"If one day we lack meat and berries, and suffer from hunger and cold, only these ears of wheat can save us!"

Al looked directly at Jalesto, and said:
"There is no such day, the world is so vast, and there will never be such a day."

"The beasts in the forest will all die one day."

Jalesto stood up and said angrily,
"Father, do you think that the Logos people will always be God's chosen people?!"

Jalesto's voice fell like a thunderbolt in the Garden of Law. All the priests were stunned by the words. In the past hundred years, no one dared to utter such reckless words, and no one dared to use such words. The tone speaks to the prophet.

Yar raised his face and stared at his eldest son with a look of scrutiny and anger.

The similarities between Alesto and Yar are not so great as Tertullian imagined.

On the contrary, the views between father and son are often at odds with each other.

For example, Yar believes that the laws of the world are always from high to low, and the higher the law is, the more concise and irreducible it is. God is the supreme law.

Jalestos doesn’t think so. In his eyes, laws, or philosophy, are often piled up from laws, and God and God’s creation are the foundation of all basic laws.

And it is even more so with regard to the duties of priests.

Ar, as a prophet, believed that God's election was eternal and universal to every Logosian.

Jalesto, however, was skeptical about this. He believed that the gifts received by the Logosians were nothing more than temporary good luck. The only person chosen by God was a prophet, and the other Logosians were just ordinary people. .

"Is there nothing you really believe in, Jalesto!"

Arles scolded Alesto.

"Do you have to believe everything?!"

Alesto contradicts his father.

There is a fundamental spiritual difference between father and son, and they fight endlessly like enemies.

But now, a difficult problem concerning the survival of the entire civilization lies in front of them.

How can we overcome death?

Neither father nor son believed that King Sabor could find the way of eternal life.

And in the face of the insurmountable gully exhausted by the entire civilization, the only thing Yar can rely on is his eldest son, Jalesto.

Of all the priests of Logos there is none so discerning of wisdom as Jarestos.

Not even the Prophet himself.

However, they have spent nearly a hundred years, but they have never touched the answer.

..............................

The kingdom is still expanding outwards, and as the days go by, King Sabo's desire to seek eternal life has not diminished, but has intensified.

In the palace, King Sabo looked at the palace in front of him in a daze.

The attendants stood on the left and right sides of the throne. They did not know how many times they had seen King Sabo lose his mind on the throne.

However, with the expansion of the kingdom, King Sabo did not get better because of it, but lost his mind more and more often.

The attendants don't know what King Saber is thinking. No one can know what the king of the Logos, the first person who got the language, is thinking. The queen doesn't know, nor the king's heirs. Perhaps only God can know.

but,

God wants to know?
King Sabo looked at the empty hall.

Suddenly, he asked:

"When will we find eternal life?"

The attendants shuddered, they didn't expect King Sabo to speak out suddenly, and they were not ready to answer, so they could only move forward, hesitating to speak in embarrassment.

Fortunately, at this moment, outside the palace, the eldest son of King Sabo slowly climbed up the stairs.

King Sabo raised his head, staring at the eldest son who was walking towards the throne step by step.

"Wang. It's time to go back. Mother asked me to advise you to rest."

King Sabo stared straight at his eldest son, as if looking at a stranger, examining him from head to toe.

The eldest son looked up, feeling awed by King Sabo's scrutiny, and shivered.

King Sabo looked at the trembling child, feeling disappointed.

Is this his own child?Would such a man inherit his throne?
so cowardly...

Thinking of this, King Sabo felt even more sad about death.

Among his descendants, there is no one like him.

That being the case, if he died, how long would his spirit last?
The Prophet Yar brought an answer about death a hundred years ago, and King Sabor accepted that answer. However, when his youthful strength gradually faded away, and the glory of the past could not be returned, King Sabor felt fear of death, and even more so. Unrecoverable sorrow.

The sorrow was deeper than his fear.
