Chapter 1321 The birth of a hero?

"Someone wants to see you, the twelve warriors of the battlefront."

This title, passed down by word of mouth, has become proof of the arrogance of Mok and others. The Elf Monarch does not need any help from humans at all. If it weren't for the earthquake, the Phoenix King could have killed his way into Karak Dreadnought.

"Knight Kelly?"

The knight named Kelly nodded indifferently. After losing a large number of grassroots officers, the emperor had no choice but to fill the Rick Guards into the command level to stabilize the army order. Before selecting a new basic commander, these pride of the empire would spend a lot of time in contact with the soldiers.

Kelly was a serious person by nature. He looked at Mok lying on the camp bed with injuries and felt a little sympathy, but the matter was urgent.

"I don't want to disturb you from recovering from your injuries, but this person may be the key to your self-proof."

Kelly left a note and some elven medicine bought at a high price from a middleman.

Although the elves provided a large amount of emergency medicines free of charge, and the emperor sent special commissioners to supervise and ensure that these medicines were used on those who needed them most, people's nature will not change.

When a group of people died amid the prayers of the combat priests and another group was saved after treatment, a small amount of life-saving drugs eventually flowed into the hands of middlemen with extensive connections.

The price is not too expensive. A bottle of healing ointment made from elven leaves is only ten times more expensive than similar products in the Elven Foreign Trade Zone of Aldorf, almost the same as the same weight of gold.

The brother holding the potion kept saying, "I thought Uncle Kelly looked down on us peasants, but I didn't expect he secretly gave us benefits."

"This is good for him. If the elves acknowledge the matter of the Warriors, we must show due gratitude for his efforts in active communication..."

Mok put the potion next to his mouth tremblingly, and only dared to take a small sip to ensure that his body could maintain normal functions. He then asked his brothers to distribute the potion to others. If there was any left, he would return it to Knight Kelly.

But the somewhat reluctant expression and the action of putting the liquid gold in his pocket made Mok explain: "Knight Kelly has nothing to do with us. Don't forget what Boss Derrick always said, if you take someone's sword, you have to return it."

"But he's dead."

"Yes, but he is dead...so we should remember him even more."

Mok had obviously become the new leader. After he felt that he could barely stand, he shouted to his brothers to quickly walk out of the injury room and move towards the location indicated by the note.

Soon, the twelve people saw two elves, one of whom was wearing heavy black armor. Judging from the majestic black dragon head on his right shoulder armor, this man, whose clothing was extremely inconsistent with the traditional red and green paint of Caledor, must have a high status among the elves.

The other person stood there indifferently. His plain robe looked plain and simple. Only when the robe fluttered in the wind could one vaguely see the golden threads running on the surface. A red gold nameplate that seemed to symbolize his identity hung around his waist. The carving was extremely delicate and exquisite, and it looked expensive.

This is an uninhabited forest, a place that patrols need to visit frequently, and it is also the elves' responsibility area known to humans.

"Are they the brave warriors? Haha." Oliveira asked North in the Imperial language without any disguise. There was visible disappointment and sarcasm in his eyes when he looked at the twelve patients.

Two of them were missing arms, two were walking with the help of tree branches used as crutches, and one had his face bandaged with burn marks visible on the edges, which was obviously a side effect of playing with black powder.

Most of the remaining people were suffering from injuries that affected their movements, like a group of defeated disabled people.

"Your guards were originally in a similar situation to theirs... Courage is not proportional to strength, and mortals can also possess courage comparable to legends." North responded in the elven language. Although he seemed unkind, he was by no means low in emotional intelligence.

His Majesty has granted these twelve men the title of Vanguard Warriors, but the files have not been owned by them. As a herald, he cannot decide on his own whether to launch the project. Creon has no interest in these twelve burdens, and Issarion is nowhere to be seen.

Now only Oliveira can bypass the tedious evidence collection and directly confirm the files.

"Okay, North, I finally understand why you can always stay in the position of herald. Sometimes you really talk...annoyingly."

Perhaps it was because he recalled some things, the feeling of powerlessness buried in past memories, that made Oliveira's expression towards Mok and others ease a lot. The disappointment and ridicule gradually disappeared and turned into solemnity.

He looked at Mok, who was obviously the leader, and explained with his hands spread out: "I am Oliveira, the leader of the Phoenix King's army stationed in the Laurent Forest. I am here on behalf of the Dragon Lord and Prince Caledo to ask you some questions. I hope you can answer truthfully."

The soldier knew very little about what was happening at the top level. He only heard that the reduction in the number of Yankee invasions was closely related to the strange elves in the Laurentlauren Forest. If that was the case, then the elf in front of him must be qualified to make the decision.

"I will certainly tell you everything I know."

"Very good. First question, who assigned you to attack the Big Belly King with the white smoke bombs used as alarms?"

"Captain Derrick."

This unheard of name made Oliveira tilt his head and ask North.

"Captain Uberrick, centurion, died in the valley of Karak Dreadnought."

Nodding to show that he understood, Oliveira continued his previous question: "Derrick alone? If we review the battle situation at that time, the order you received should have been to stabilize the front line, not to take a suicidal action of attacking forward."

"Derrick was the only one there. The situation was very tense. Captain Patrick was killed in the battle, so the command was taken over by his deputy... Captain Derrick believed that there was no chance of victory if we just retreated."

Oliveira seemed to be thinking about something, and signaled North to record the relevant conversations. Although he had the power to skip the evidence collection process, the title issue was very important in Caledo.

He couldn't be like His Majesty, who wrote a preface and asked his subordinates to compile it themselves, and then deposited the empty document in the palace archives...

"The second question is, at that time... forgive my offense, in what name did Imrik confer the title of Vanguard Warriors on you?"

"What... does this matter?" The soldier obviously lacked understanding of this method of identity classification. In his eyes, could there be any other meaning?
"The difference is..."

Oliveira wanted to explain, but North, holding a pen and paper, had already said, "This will determine who your file belongs to. Your Majesty's common titles are Phoenix King, Dragon Lord, and Dragon Tamer Patriarch. I cannot explain the final difference, but it will definitely have an impact."

Phoenix Court, Dragon Palace, and Retainers, in fact, these are the different meanings of the three. Among them, the last retainer is the most sensitive. All dragon princes can be classified as retainers of dragon tamers, but in fact only Mishan and the other two were personally canonized by Imrik, which means the eternal contract of the dragon tamer family.

Mok tried to find the calm voice in his chaotic memories, and finally came to a conclusion.

"Phoenix King." (End of this chapter)
