Chapter 1787, Section 420: "Paradise"
The filthy nest gave them a good start.
"Who's next?" Berdona asked.
Annan glanced at the list: "The rotten tyrant ancestral spirit."
To deal with such a powerful demon, the devil's seductive whispers are not enough, but the succubus's talents are still effective.
The Rotten Tyrant keeps a horde of lesser demons, and Annan's plan is to replace two of them with Beldona and then pour poison into its giant cauldron.
Upon arriving at the fifth level of the Rotten Tyrant's camp, Annan glanced at it from afar and exclaimed, "Wow, he looks just like your uncle. Should we go and say hello first, so we don't accidentally hurt our own people?"
Berdona retorted irritably, "My uncle just turned into an abyss demon, he's not an abyss demon."
At first glance, the shape of the Rotten Tyrant looks like a low mountain, with only occasional wriggling indicating that it is alive.
Two twisted, withered antelope horns emerged from its head, one of which had a ceramic pottery jar hanging from its tip, producing a clear, tinkling sound from afar.
As the living mountain of flesh writhed, melted pus and filth seeped from its festering sores, which were collected by the busy little demons around it.
The camp was shrouded in a cloud of mist, which was both a cloud of flies and spores spewed out by the porous tumor parasitizing the rotten tyrant's neck.
There were no rats in the camp; it was hard to tell whether the little devils were industrious or the camp was so dirty that even rats would find it disgusting.
Whether it's the Filthy Nest or the Rotten Tyrant, each one is more blasphemous than the last. Annan couldn't help but wonder, does the continent of Allen really need to fear the indescribable strangeness? This side seems much more terrifying.
Annan and Beldona hid in the shack, waiting for the little devil to come out and buy ingredients.
The Rotten Tyrant eats 24 hours a day, and even though the thick juices collected on its body are poured back into the cooking pot by the little devils for its own consumption... it's still not enough for such a huge demon that's about the same size as the Rat King.
The pot was filled with boiling green steam, and Annan could always glimpse grotesque, wailing faces through the rising, distorted poisonous mist.
"Hehe...haha..."
Laughter and cheers filled the air as little devils, like fairies, climbed onto the rotten tyrant's belly, using its skin as a trampoline to bounce around. Other mischievous little devils burrowed in and out of the rotten tyrant's belly, emitting high-pitched, carefree, and joyful laughter.
The Rotten Tyrant indulges the little devils to play on his body, just like a loving father.
"Gulp...Should we do that too?"
Annan swallowed hard, racking his brains but unable to figure out how Rus could fight this thing. Would he burrow into its flesh? Maybe the Rotten Tyrant would think he was being coquettish.
“You don’t have to jump,” Berudona said.
After observing for several tens of minutes, they finally saw a few little devils come out carrying baskets to make purchases.
Annan and Beldona quickly followed, catching up with the two little devils who were together as they split up.
"What adorable little devils! What are your names?" Anan appeared, blocking their path, and asked with a smile.
……
Half an hour later, Lai and Lei met up with the other imps at the crossroads in front of the camp.
They purchased very normal ingredients: meat, seasonings, salt... Annan couldn't understand why, when poured into the cooking pot, it turned into that shape that seemed to be tainted by evil energy.
As soon as we entered the camp, it seemed as if the sky had darkened. A cloud of flies obscured the already scarce light in the rat-man city-state.
A series of crackling sounds came from deep within the camp. These were certainly not the popping of firewood under the cooking pot, but rather the sounds of pustules on the festering tyrant bursting open as they matured.
"Lei, go clean the ingredients. Lai, go play."
After watching for so long, Annan understood what "playing" meant, and looked at Beldona with lingering eyes: "Are we really going to do this?" "I'll do it, you go over to the cooking pot." Beldona wanted to switch roles with Annan.
It was just jumping around on the devil's belly; it was nothing to the devil.
"Forget it, I'll do it myself!"
Annan took a deep breath; he couldn't bear to watch Berudona suffer for him.
After handing the ingredients to Berdona, Annan walked toward the rotten tyrant without looking back.
Annan should be grateful for the little devils' weakness; their dull senses only affected his sight and mind, while he could tolerate the smells.
Listening to the shrill laughter and chatter around him, Annan imagined this place as a water park.
The curve from the ulcerated tyrant's breasts to its belly is a slide, its elastic belly is a trampoline, the puckering sores that allow them to crawl in and out are a maze, and the restaurant outside the amusement park is like sitting on its shoulder picking out maggots to eat...
Annan acted as a background character, jumping around incessantly—he didn't go down the slide for fear of bursting the dense, festering sores on his chest, and he didn't play in the maze because he didn't want to get lost and fall into the festering tyrant's stomach. He didn't go to the restaurant because he wasn't hungry yet.
After bouncing around for over ten minutes, little devils kept coming up to take their place. Annan found an opportunity to be replaced, and covered in slime, he went to meet Beldona.
Berudona didn't mind that Annan was soaked to the bone. She looked him over carefully for a while, as if to confirm something, and then said, "It's good that you're alright."
“What could possibly happen to me? Actually, it’s quite fun…” Annan chuckled.
Berdona frowned: "Did it still affect you?"
After following Beldona around in front of the cooking pot that could double as a little devil's bathtub for quite a while, Annan seemed to come back to his senses and shivered violently.
"you're awake?"
"Stop talking... Hurry up and release the poison, I don't want to go through this again." Annan urged, as if he had activated some kind of defense mechanism and forgotten what had happened before.
"hold on."
There are many little devils busy before cooking, and if they are too obvious, they will be discovered.
A few minutes later, Berudona found an opportunity, mixed the poison into the chopped meat, climbed the wooden ladder, and poured it into the cooking pot.
"Put in more?" Annan urged.
"That's enough to poison a dragon to death."
To ensure the food could be successfully delivered to the rotten tyrant's belly, Annan and Beldona didn't rush to leave, disguising themselves as little devils to continue working.
The cauldron began to boil anew, and the little devils lifted it off the ground, chanting as they carried it to the front of the Rotten Tyrant.
The ulcerated tyrant grabbed the cooking pot, which was equivalent to a bowl to it, tilted its head back, and poured the thick soup, which had somehow turned dark green again, into its mouth.
Annan stared intently without blinking.
After a few seconds of silence, the rotten tyrant suddenly convulsed and burped.
Then, those tiny eyes, from which maggots were crawling in and out, suddenly lit up.
"My dear children, what did you put in this dish?"
Annan's heart skipped a beat; the festering tyrant didn't look like he was in trouble...
Then, the captain of the little devils pointed at Anan and Beldona, who were standing on the outermost edge: "I don't know what Lai and Rei were talking about before!"
