Chapter 1911, Section 544: Classic Scene
A cane extended from the carriage, and then a middle-aged man stepped down. He reached out and helped the lady who had been at the window to get off the carriage.

"Are you the cat's owner?" he asked Anan.

"I guess so," Annan said vaguely.

She tried to bend down and pet the silly cat, but it dodged away in disgust.

The woman stood frozen, her mind filled with the vivid disdain in the cat's eyes. Had she just been... looked down upon by a cat?

"How to sell it?"

Annan sized him up a few times, frowned, and said, "Not for sale."

Why don't you listen to the price first?

"I'm not interested in money."

The man sneered, "Interesting. In Sertovis, no one has ever dared to speak to me like that."

Annan calmly repeated, "Interesting. In the Tattun Empire, no one has ever dared to speak to me like that."

"You think you are—"

The man's words were interrupted by a group of black-armored guards who approached. The deputy in charge stood in front of Annan: "Your Excellency Annan, the Minister wishes to see you."

"Has he arrived?"

"Yes, around the same time as you."

“I’ll come over after I’ve dealt with this,” Annan said, glancing at the nobleman who was frozen in place.

Who would have thought that he would encounter such a scene after not returning to Sertoviz for so long?

"Annan?"

"Ah."

"That Annan from Liberty City?"

The man, who hadn't gone far, stumbled and had to grab the handrail of the carriage to avoid falling.

"I don't know, but he's probably a wealthy businessman from Sertovis." The deputy paused briefly. "Should I help you find out?"

"Never mind, I'm not a petty person."

As soon as the man steadied himself, he heard the beautiful girl next to Annan say, "You humans are too soft... too merciful. If it were a dragon, they would have plundered the enemy's entire lair."

"Actually, we're pretty much the same. It's all about strength, but dragons rely on strength, while nobles rely on power."

The deputy led the way, with Annan and his two companions following behind. Annan looked down at the silly cat and said, "How about that? I got revenge for you."

"Why don't you tell that human who I am?" The silly cat was unhappy that it hadn't been its turn to take the stage.

"You're such a big shot, what if you scare them to death? A little punishment will do."

In the city lord's mansion, the minister sat in the study that had been temporarily requisitioned, handling the official business that had piled up over the past few days.

"Also, the fact that they haven't been discovered for so long means that humans must be helping them ship their goods. Investigate who is selling large quantities of weapons and armor within the country and arrest all those involved for treason."

He began by recounting how the Blackwatch Legion encountered the Spider Queen, Lolth, who collaborated with the Chaos forces in the North, ostensibly digging a rat hole into the Empire, but in reality setting up a warp anchor point.

To highlight his own actions and absolve the little spider of its mistakes, Annan said, "Rosie the Spider Queen reformed herself under his influence."

"Hey, you're not angry?"

The silly cat wondered in his heart about Rosie the Spider Queen.

“I believe him,” Rose replied.

You guys are disgusting!

"Rosie the Spider Queen..."

Upon learning that there was a second saint behind Annan, the Imperial Minister fell into deep thought.
