Chapter 170
Hui Mian also lay down on the old horse's head and listened quietly. This is an authentic Buddhist scripture, and in terms of its understanding, it should talk about opening up wisdom and doing good deeds to get good fruits.

It's just that the voice is sometimes clear and sometimes fuzzy in Hui Mian's ears, and some of them are too profound.

After listening for a while, Hui Mian subconsciously turned back to look at the room over there, and by the window in the room, Yi Shuyuan had already got up, and was also looking outside through the broken window hole.

In the ears of the animals near the small temple, the Buddha's voice was also sometimes vague and low, sometimes slightly clear, some were deafening, and some made their minds swell.

In Yi Shuyuan's ears, although the Buddha's voice was slight, it was very clear, and he could hear every word even if he was far away.

"Those who act virtuously are close to others, can open the door of the divine, and see themselves at ease, free from fear, free from evil."

Yi Shuyuan didn't have any research on Buddhism, but he felt that he could benefit a little from listening to this scripture. Looking at the animals outside the temple, he also understood that there were basically no evil in them.

At this time, Yi Shuyuan suddenly thought of something, looked at the sleeping coachman brother, and remembered that when it was night, he spittled and said:

Later, the imperial court vigorously rectified it, and invited the heavenly master to work with experts from all walks of life to clean up the mountain.
"Ugh"

Even a cheerful person like Yi Shuyuan couldn't help but sigh at this meeting.

Although the coachman didn't say how long this clay bodhisattva has existed, Yi Shuyuan took a casual look and he knew that the time is definitely not short. Even though the small temple seems to have been repaired and built not many years ago, the Buddha statue itself is definitely not just a few decades old. Simple.

With this clay bodhisattva here, there must have been many good people in Yanshan back then, and many of them must have been affected.

What happened in the past, Yi Shuyuan will not be able to pursue it now, so he no longer thinks about it, but listens to the scriptures with some respect.

Although Yi Shuyuan never thought of becoming a monk to practice Buddhism, he believed that the true Dharma has something in common, and listening to this scripture is also beneficial to his own immortality.

This scripture is neither long nor short, and the voice is very slow. It took about a quarter of an hour to listen to it from the initial stage to the complete one.

Then the scriptures began to repeat, but the sound of the Buddha also began to gradually weaken, and it seemed unsustainable.

Up to this moment, Yi Shuyuan's heart suddenly came to a sudden, and a kind of enlightenment gradually rose.

It turns out that the Bodhisattva has passed away!

Up to now, the Buddha's voice has been very faint in Yi Shuyuan, but at least some can still be heard, while the small animals listening to the scriptures have all lost their voices.

These animals sat quietly in front of the Buddha statue and did not leave immediately, just resting beside the small temple.

It wasn't until around the fourth watch that these animals started to move. The birds fluttered away, and the rest of the animals walked towards the mountain one after another.

The coachman's old horse also got up slowly, walked back to the broken house, and threw the rein on the stake casually.

"Squeak~"

Hearing the sound of the old wooden door being opened, the old horse turned his head and saw a Confucian scholar in blue came out of the room where his master was.

Hui Mian was still standing on the old horse's head at the moment, when he saw Yi Shuyuan coming out, he whispered something to the old horse.

"This is my husband, I'll go there first, we'll talk again when we have a chance!"

Yi Shuyuan glanced in the direction of the broken house, and Hui Mian rushed to his shoulder like a gray light.

"You're the one talking about it, but it's just snorting, can it be considered a chat?"

This is Yi Shuyuan's joke, Hui Mian said naturally.

"Then, sir, you sometimes imitate bird calls and chat with some birds, and you still say that you are arguing with birds. I am obviously better than you!"

Yi Shuyuan grinned and didn't say anything, and walked towards the small temple, although the scriptures stopped, the lingering sound was still there.

In the small temple, the clay sculpture treasures are quiet.

After listening to the scriptures, Yi Shuyuan felt something in his heart, and when he looked closely at the Buddha statue and peeked into it, he saw that it was just a wisp of remnant thoughts.

Yi Shuyuan didn't know why the bodhisattva passed away, or in other words, he didn't even know whether the original clay sculpture was a real Buddhist Bodhisattva.

But at least at this moment, in Yi Shuyuan's mind, the clay bodhisattva in the small temple is a bodhisattva!
After standing in front of the temple for a while, Yi Shuyuan straightened his clothes with a thought in mind, and then bowed to the clay bodhisattva in the small temple.

"hiss"

Hui Mian gasped on Yi Shuyuan's shoulder, but quickly covered his mouth with his paws when he wanted to speak out.

However, the imagined situation where the idol was broken and the temple collapsed did not occur. The clay bodhisattva was still a clay bodhisattva, sitting in the temple and nothing happened.

Yi Shuyuan also showed a smile, just as he felt in his heart, the clay bodhisattva could bear this ceremony, and of course he didn't do it too exaggeratedly, he didn't dare to offer incense and bow down.

The merits and virtues in the body seem to be faintly scattered, and the eyebrows of the clay bodhisattva in the small temple are slightly lit up with a little Buddha's light.

This Buddha's light is not obvious, it is not as good as a firefly in the middle of the night, but this Buddha's light is also very obvious, it seems to make the Buddha shadow in the Buddha statue move.

After about ten breaths, in Yi Shuyuan's eyes, the Buddha's light between the eyebrows of the clay bodhisattva began to spread, extending to the entire Buddha statue, as if the clay bodhisattva began to emit a faint light.

On the other side of the dilapidated house, an old horse was staring at the courtyard, its eyes were wide open, but it didn't even dare to breathe.

Hui Mian also stared at the Buddha statue intently, which made Yi Shuyuan relatively calm.

Not long after, the Buddha's light faded, and Yi Shuyuan's thought moved, and he took two steps back.

The next moment, a figure with hazy Buddha light got up from the Buddha statue sitting on the ground, and then stepped out of the small temple, and gradually grew larger, turning into a blurred light and shadow the size of an ordinary person.

"My Buddha is merciful, and finally let the poor monk wait for a person of great kindness. Good man and great virtue, can you accept the mantle of the poor monk!"

Foying performed a Buddhist salute to Yi Shuyuan, not calling himself "this seat", but "poor monk".

But Yi Shuyuan bowed his hand in return, but the address was different.

"Bodhisattva, Yi respects you for saving all living beings, but I am a person in the immortal way, and my ambition is not here, so it is inconvenient to accept your mantle to practice Buddhism!"

"My Buddha is merciful, and finally let the poor monk wait for a person of great kindness. Good man and great virtue, can you accept the mantle of the poor monk!"

Foying still said the same thing.

After Yi Shuyuan frowned slightly, after a few breaths, Foying saluted him again and repeated what he had just said.

Obviously, this Buddha image is just a remnant, without original consciousness.

"gentlemen."

Hui Mian called out on Yi Shuyuan's shoulder, but didn't know what to say.

Yi Shuyuan thought for a while, and said to Foying.

"Bodhisattva, although Yi can't accept your mantle, he can gain something from listening to your Buddhist scriptures, and he can vaguely understand what you want to pass on."

"If the Bodhisattva is willing to trust Yi, then Yi promises to the Bodhisattva that he will help you find a suitable successor and pass on this scripture and your compassionate wish to him!"

As if feeling the meaning of the words, the Buddha shadow who had been repeating the same words gradually calmed down. After bowing to Yi Shuyuan again, the Buddha's light gradually dissipated to the surroundings, and disappeared in the sky and the earth in an instant.

At the end when the Buddha's light dissipated, a faint spot of light flew over, and Yi Shuyuan reached out to catch it, it was a relic with faint light.

Yi Shuyuan stood there for a while, looking at the relic in the palm of his hand, feeling a little complicated and emotional.

After I got a word from myself, the remnant thoughts of the Buddha's shadow dissipated. This kind of remnant thoughts and obsessions are actually a bit biased in the cognition of Buddhism in this world, but Yi Shuyuan doesn't think so.

"Sir, have you worshiped the Bodhisattva to death?"

Hui Mian's voice sounded, making Yi Shuyuan break his skills in a second.

"I don't want to talk nonsense! The mud bodhisattva is here waiting for a successor, and he will leave after I promise. It's trust in me. But now it's my business!"

Hui Mian was just shocked, but Yi Shuyuan understood it when he said it, and looked at his husband again, and couldn't help but worry.

"Sir, isn't that causing trouble? We don't understand Buddhism, sir, why don't you look bothered at all?"

Yi Shuyuan shook his head, looked at Hui Mian and said.

"Why bother? Isn't the Bodhisattva just reading that scripture here? Maybe this is also an interesting experience and an interesting story!"

"Crack, click, click"

The sound of cracking and breaking came, Yi Shuyuan and Hui Mian both looked at the small temple, and there were tiny cracks on the body of the clay Buddha inside, just like the traces of weathering.

But the clay sculpture did not collapse, it just restored its original appearance.

"It seems that no matter when this clay bodhisattva was here, it was created a long time ago."

But this time, Yi Shuyuan looked at the small temple, but frowned again, and then looked at the dilapidated room.

Seeing the man in the blue shirt look at him, the old horse panicked, and immediately lowered its head to graze. That pretentious gesture should not be too obvious.

After a long time, the old horse cautiously raised his head, and saw that Mr. Qingshan had disappeared in front of the small temple, and looked at the direction of the house door, it was already closed.

It seemed that the man had gone back, and Lao Ma breathed a sigh of relief.

"Are you looking for me?"

"Woo puff puff~~~~"

The old horse trembled all over, neighed in fright, spewed out a mouthful of grass in its mouth, and then froze there.

Yi Shuyuan walked in front of the old horse from the side of the broken house, looked at the horse's face, his eyes were wide open, and his eyeballs followed him as he walked over.

"Sir, this is my friend!"

Although Hui Mian is very smart, but most of the time he is also very simple, whoever treats me well, I also want others to treat me well.

Although the old horse was very wary of the little mink at first, but just before listening to the scriptures, he specially called Hui Mian, and Hui Mian could feel this kind of simple kindness.

"Don't worry, I won't hurt you. All things have spirits and all living beings have sentient beings. If the spiritual wisdom has been opened, they are sentient beings. If you stick to goodness and righteousness, you have the right way, and demon cultivation is also the right way."

Saying that, Yi Shuyuan stretched out his hand close to the old horse, put his hand on his forehead and stroked it gently.

A sense of calm made the old horse feel at ease, and his nervous spirit eased down. He chewed the remaining fodder in his mouth and let Yi Shuyuan touch him.

"You know all those who listened to the scriptures together, right?"

The old horse snorted, nodded after hesitating for a moment.

Yi Shuyuan smiled.

"Okay, then go to the mountain with Hui Mian and tell your friends that the Bodhisattva is about to leave. Tomorrow night, I will explain the scriptures for you on behalf of the Bodhisattva. From now on, there will be no Buddhist scriptures here. Go! "

Yi Shuyuan patted the old horse, and the spiritual sense in the latter's heart also clearly felt the miraculousness of the person in front of him at this moment, and with the scene in front of the small temple just seen, he understood something even more faintly.

"Wooooo~~~"

The old horse groaned and nodded, and walked out of the broken house, while Hui Mian jumped from Yi Shuyuan's shoulder to the old horse's head.

"Don't be playful. Although Yanshan Mountain is not too vast, it is not small either. Hurry up and go back."

"Well! Let's go!"

Hui Mian responded to Yi Shuyuan, patted the horse's head with its tail, and then the old horse jumped out of the fence and ran towards the mountain.
