What bad thoughts can Batman have?

Chapter 946 Supreme Little Superman: I'm Here to Pay the Price

Chapter 946 Supreme Little Superman: I'm Here to Pay the Price
Genie Number One remained silent. A few minutes earlier, he had received orders from Perpetua. Perpetua did not believe that Superman Supreme would genuinely surrender. She ordered Genie Number One to accompany Superman Supreme to stall for time until he subdued Batman Dragon, which would not take too long.

Superman the Youngster must be kept out of the final battle. And if Genie the First can do that, it will be the greatest achievement.

But now, the first Lantern Knight is already feeling that he can't hold them off any longer.

“Hey, didn’t we just say something like that?” said Superman.

The first Lantern Knight took a deep breath, and Superman noticed.

He has already restarted the timeline three times. Superman Supreme is not Parallax Demon Hal. Hal was too restrained by the emotional spectrum and was greatly weakened when he came down from the timeline, so he is not at his peak. But Superman Supreme is different.

If possible, Genie No. 1 didn't want a direct confrontation. He planned to slightly reset the timeline of their meeting. He didn't expect to be able to keep it a secret for long, but at least he could get past this current questioning.

After time restarts, Superman the Youngster might discover what he's doing a little later.

"I said, hasn't this already happened once before? Didn't you hear me?"

But the next second, Genie E. Lantern was grabbed by the arm, which prevented him from continuing to try to use the trick of restarting time to get rid of Superman's questions.

He met a pair of eyes that glowed red. They were so captivating that they sent chills down his spine.

“Tell me, Calamity. You’ve probably rebooted the universe, haven’t you? How many times exactly? My friend, tell me.” He heard the Supreme Superman whisper. He heard his own heart pounding, faster and faster, like his ribs. Even though he had become a half-energy being, his heart, surrounded by countless seven-colored meridians, was still pounding.

This feeling reminded him of when Parallax the Demon Seneca ripped his heart out with his bare hands; though it hadn't killed him, it had still caused him excruciating pain. In short, he realized he was about to be attacked.

The powerful energy would pierce through him in an instant, but this time he couldn't use the emotional spectrum to break down this energy as he did when facing the parallax demon Hal, because that was pure brute force, not Hal's spectral power.

I'm going to get hit! I'm going to get hit! I'm going to get hit! I'm going to get hit!

When Genie 1 opened his eyes, he was not hit by the expected heavy punch from Superman the Younger.

He only saw Superman standing in front of him, looking at him with pitying eyes.

"Are you stupid? Horror, it's impossible for Papetua to bring your homeland back. Your homeland has returned to death. Just because a skilled craftsman can create two identical works doesn't mean he can find a broken one."

The only flaw in the forgery created by the World Founder is the absence of a coherent history in the trans-timeline, which is the only weakness in the forgery universe he created.

Papetua was able to create an Earth-15 that was perfectly integrated into the hypertime stream, which was equivalent to replacing your original Earth-15 at the source.

Simply put, the World Forger is a forger, but Perpetual is far more advanced. He can replace the original Earth-15 with his newly created Earth-15 at the very beginning of the DC multiverse. This Perpetual version of Earth-15 will replace the original Earth-15 that has been taken away by death, experience everything that the original Earth-15 experienced, and even change the origin story of Genie I, making Genie I born in this Perpetual version of Earth-15, and then change history... From some perspectives, you could say that this is a continuation of Earth-15's life, that Earth-15 has been successfully resurrected, and there's nothing wrong with that.

"But that's the only problem. If Papetua intervenes and alters the timeline, will the Earth-15 you want still be the same one? You—"

"Enough, stop talking! Yes! And yet it isn't!"

But Genie 1 rudely interrupted Superman Supreme. His raging anger even made him temporarily forget his fear, or rather, his apprehension, of Superman Supreme.

"Stop talking. Whether I was born on Earth 15 or not, the entire DC multiverse was created by Perpetua. This isn't some origin altered by Perpetua; it's the history that the DC multiverse was originally meant to have—"

You have no right to do this! It's all your fault. If it weren't for you—you killed everyone, you killed everyone on Earth, you took everything from me, just because Lex Luthor of Earth-15 reminded you of Alexander Luthor Jr., and his promise in Crisis on Infinite Earths that he could build a new, perfect world, but which ultimately failed!

For such a ridiculous reason, you have ruthlessly taken the lives of hundreds of millions of people! You are the devil!

His emotions surged briefly, but quickly plummeted. "No, please, I beg you, this is the best outcome I could get. What else do you want me to do? Force myself to face a playhouse created for me by the World Forger? Or force myself to forget all of this? It's too difficult, it's too difficult."

"Papetua is the strongest person I can find in the entire multiverse. If she can't help me solve this problem, then no one else in the world can. I have no choice, you murderer."

"What would your mother think if she knew that you killed even more people to bring him back?"

"You have no right to say that to me, Superman Supreme. You are the least qualified person to say that to me. What would Laurie think if she knew you killed so many people? Why don't you ask yourself that question?"

“She and my parents are afraid of me and don’t want to see me. Do you think I haven’t paid the price for that?” Superman the Younger said.

"Yes, I did pay a price, but it wasn't enough."

Superman said, “I repent. Our feud should be settled. You think I came to surrender to Papetua, you think I pretended to surrender and then murdered her? No, that’s not the most important purpose. I am not some final trump card or ultimate answer. Papetua will not even see me. She will never give me any chance to lay a hand on her or even throw a punch.”

“I sincerely repent to you. For so many years, I have never faced the mistakes I have made. I have never been punished for causing the tragedy of Earth 15. Although you may even give up revenge on me in order to save our homeland, it does not mean that I can forgive myself.”

Then the first Genie saw Superman sitting upright in front of him.

"So I'm here to die, First Lantern. I've come specifically to pay the price for what I did in the past."
