Net King Whale Fall

Chapter 670: Only Look at the Results

Sanada Rin looked at her hands covered in blood and asked in a low voice, "Where did you run off to?"

Ah Da sensed something was wrong and cautiously said, "We've already sent people to track them down to the southwest."

Sanada Rin calmed down instantly. Southwest—she knew the other party's escape route. Having a direction made things easier.

Ah Da couldn't help but take a step closer. "The ambulance will be here soon. Are you alright?"

Sanada Rin looked up and, before Ada could react, snatched the gun from his hand.

Ah Da: "!!!"

Sanada Rin said, "Now I only trust you."

"Ah Da, take him to the hospital for me and save his life."

"I'm going out to arrest someone, don't stop me."

Whether to arrest or kill someone, Ah-Da didn't dare to think about it, but when he met Sanada Rin's eyes, those eyes, which were usually calm and undisturbed, were now bloodshot. Ah-Da couldn't say anything to stop her at that moment.

"Give me a few seconds."

Ah Da quickly grabbed a bulletproof vest from the police who came to help, and then tied it on for Sanada Ling, saying, "Someone has to stay outside the ward."

Someone has already been hospitalized; you can't afford to be injured and hospitalized.

"Do not worry."

Sanada Rin's last voice disappeared into the roar of the motorcycle. I don't know whose it was, but I'll borrow it for now.

Ada helped the doctor place Atobe Keigo on a stretcher. While the doctor was performing emergency treatment, Ada sent out several messages, hoping to get there in time.

Thanks to his years of solving cases in Tokyo, Sanada Rin knows the city's roads like the back of his hand. A sniper who kills someone and wants to evade the city's police has few routes to choose from.

Sanada Rei hasn't been on the front lines for a long time, but that doesn't mean she's forgotten everything.

The sniper knew he was in big trouble; besides the troublesome police, his target had turned on him.

Before accepting a mission, one must always have some understanding of the target. He had privately looked into Sanada Rin's information, or directly understood Alice's information—she was a very dangerous person.

If it weren't for the generous offer from his benefactor, he wouldn't have taken the risk and would have preferred to collaborate with someone else, since snipers typically operate alone.

After shaking off the police, the sniper let out a barely perceptible sigh. The rearview mirror clearly reflected the figure behind the car, following him like a shadow, impossible to shake off.

His first instinct was right; it would be difficult to collect the final payment for this mission.

They've all been through the wringer; if you can't dodge, then fight it head-on. He may be wary, but that doesn't mean he's weak.

Sanada Rin drove at high speed around the bend, calculated the direction, and fired a shot directly at the car's rear tire. Bullets were limited, so he used them sparingly.

The speeding car suddenly lost control on the main road, making an exaggerated S-curve, with sparks flying from the tires. It looked like it was about to overturn and flip over, but fortunately, there were few people on this stretch of road.

Sanada Rin spotted the spot and fired another shot. She believed that this person wouldn't die so easily.

Sure enough, after struggling for a long time, the sniper, covered in blood, climbed out of the car window.

He is unremarkable in appearance and would hardly be noticed in a crowd, yet such a person may have several lives on his hands.

Excessive blood loss and multiple fractures blurred the sniper's vision, but he still saw clearly the white sneakers that landed next to his head. They looked youthful and energetic, yet they were what brought down this professional.

"Alice, you won."

Sanada Rin looked at him expressionlessly, "You shouldn't have pointed your gun at someone else."

The sniper gave a helpless, bitter smile. "Do you think he wanted this? This is the second reason why he might not receive the final payment."

To investigate Alice, it's essential to find out who's around her, such as her boyfriend, the only son of the Atobe family.

He's offended both of them to death, and it's uncertain whether his old benefactor can withstand their retaliation.

He tried to explain, "It was just an accident. You know my target is you." "It was his sudden appearance that caused the accident. It has nothing to do with me. Believe me."

Sanada Rin lowered her eyes. "I only care about the results."

The sniper looked conflicted, as if he was trying to figure out how to persuade him.

But the first thing you hear is the piercing sound of bullets tearing through the air. At such close range, and with a professional killer involved, it's hard to dodge.

Sanada Rin showed no surprise at the sudden, deadly attack, quickly dodging and then raising her hand to retaliate.

"I can tell you who's behind this! Ah!!"

Sanada Rin was sensitive to the cold and was dressed thickly. The bullet only grazed the outermost layer of her skin, and thin streaks of blood were seeping out.

Sanada Rin looked at the bloodstains on her arm and a cold smile appeared on her lips. "You started this."

She stated that at the crime scene, someone was shooting at her with a gun, and she had the right to shoot him dead on the spot.

However, Sanada Rin still had some kindness in her heart; instead of killing him outright, she struck him in the spine.

A professional assassin, well-versed in the distribution of human tissues and understanding the function of every bone, how could he not be aware of his own current state?

Even if he didn't die, is being paralyzed from head to toe easier than dying?

The sniper's expression finally changed, revealing his true colors. "You did this on purpose. You knew I would retaliate, didn't you?"

Sanada Rin scoffed lightly, "Do you think you're the first assassin to stand in front of me?"

Back when she was with the FBI, the number of people who wanted to kill her practically filled the entire state of California.

What are you anyway?

"I've seen more professional assassins than you, but unfortunately, the grass on their graves could bury you long ago."

The sniper's voice was forced out through clenched teeth, "I can make a deal with you."

“It’s not important.” Sanada Rin looked down at the other person. “I only care about the result.”

"To be honest, whether you kill me or you kill me, it won't make me angry."

"But you hurt me."

"Death is too easy for you. Living like this, living well, is the punishment."

The sniper's face was contorted with pain. He knew that Sanada Rin was right. Being paralyzed on the ground, unable to move, was more painful than being killed.

The sniper gritted his teeth, his mouth filled with the metallic taste of blood. "Don't you want to know who's behind this?"

"If I die, countless others will come, and everyone around you will suffer."

Sanada Rin stared at him for a moment, then kicked him through the teeth. She was a little angry, but she couldn't be provoked, otherwise killing him would be the only way to satisfy him.

Sanada Rin shifted her gaze slightly, dragged the person a short distance, and once again raised her hand and hit the car's gas tank.

A loud explosion rang out, and Sanada Rin breathed a sigh of relief as his vision was engulfed in orange-red flames.

The person you're talking about isn't important.

"Because I will expose them one by one, just like you, and make them suffer eternal damnation."

"The Hamaguchi family, is it? I won't let anyone get away with this."

The sniper lay sprawled on the ground like a dead dog, unable to utter a single word of protest.

It's useless; all verbal attacks are pointless against this person.

As she herself said, she only cares about the results. (End of Chapter)
