Merchant and doctor

Chapter 1959 Prepare to Lose Money

Chapter 1959 Prepare to Lose Money

In the past six months or so, in terms of the actual number of patients seen in clinical practice alone, Bian Mu is definitely number one in the entire Lijin TCM community!

Bian Mu took his house calls very seriously, which inevitably took a toll on his mental and physical health. Over time, his body couldn't keep up. Helpless, Bian Mu had to fight back, resolve, and improve his condition by diligently practicing traditional martial arts and guiding techniques. Unintentionally, Bian Mu gradually rose to the ranks of traditional martial arts masters, but he never thought about it.

In a moment of desperation, Bian Mu made a sudden move, immediately displaying astonishing destructive power.

In an instant, Bian Mu grasped the meaning of a few words recorded in ancient Chinese medical texts: ...The number of people a doctor has harmed corresponds to the number of people he possesses who can heal...

So what if the logic in the book were reversed?!
Today's events have proven that qualified professional TCM doctors also possess a certain formidable and unique "power"! The key lies in how people utilize it.

Surprised, Bian Mu noticed out of the corner of her eye that the troublemaking mother and daughter were trying to slip away quietly. Women, you know! Who isn't afraid of trouble?!

Bian Mu was furious and reprimanded the woman without hesitation, at least not allowing the mother and daughter to leave.

Judging from the dog owner's scoundrel-like behavior and the tragic scene of one dead and two injured on the ground, Bian Mu intuitively felt that he, the homeless man next to him, and the mother and daughter were definitely not going to be able to resolve this little predicament.

The dog owner must be someone special!
Should we call someone over to help "coordinate" this?! But who would be a good candidate?!
Or should we call the police directly?

None of them seem quite suitable...

For a moment, Bian Mu's mind went blank.

"Let's check if there are any suitable surveillance cameras around here first! At least we need to get the video evidence as soon as possible! As for getting vaccinated... there's still time, no rush!" With that thought, Bian Mu, without showing any emotion and not minding the homeless man's filth, leaned closer and whispered a few words in his ear.

"See... the guy slumped on the ground treats those three dogs like treasures. This isn't going to end well. How about we get our hands on the security camera footage first?!"

Upon hearing this, the homeless man immediately understood and nodded slightly to Bian Mu with a look of admiration in his eyes.

"Can someone kindly vouch for me? His dog bit me terribly! Putting everything else aside, you have to pay for the vaccine first, right?!" His expression changed in an instant. Having spent his days wandering the streets, the homeless man had a unique mentality and demeanor.

"Ouch! You look pretty badly bitten! Forget about money, I think saving your life is the most important thing! What are you standing there for? Go get vaccinated!" As she spoke, Bian Mu selected one of the most crucial surveillance cameras and stared at it intently for a couple of seconds.

The homeless man was much smarter than Bian Mu had imagined. A faint smile appeared on his lips as he nodded slightly to Bian Mu, then suddenly turned and ran into a small alley, disappearing without a trace in no time.

"Ma'am! The matter originated on your side. Regardless of right or wrong, you'd better think carefully about what you should and shouldn't say when we discuss how to resolve this later." Bian Muchong said a few words to the middle-aged woman with the child, his voice neither too loud nor too soft.

The woman seemed somewhat flustered, lowering her eyebrows and looking down at the ground, saying nothing. It seemed that when the time came to really discuss the matter, she might not be willing to side with Bian Mu and the homeless man.

Women are bound to be a little timid, which is understandable. Just make sure it doesn't backfire.

He neither approached to negotiate, nor quietly left, nor proactively called the police. He calmly stood on the side of the street, observing with a detached eye how the situation would develop. Seeing that the scene wasn't as "lively" as people had imagined, many onlookers dispersed. This was for the best, preventing any troublesome individuals from stirring up trouble again.

The man who had been slumped on the ground had recovered his senses by now. He stared at Bian Mu with a gloomy gaze, looking her up and down several times without saying a word. He then took out his phone and made a few calls. Bian Mu, with his sharp ears, guessed that this guy was calling to "call for backup"!

Unperturbed and unhurried, Bian Mu stared at the three half-dead dogs on the ground, lost in thought...

The mother and daughter who caused the trouble were now in a precarious situation; leaving was not an option, and staying was even worse. They looked extremely awkward. The girl, who looked to be only a teenager, seemed somewhat frightened, clutching her mother's sleeve tightly and staring nervously at her mother, unsure of what to say.

When the staff at "Linxiangju" realized things were getting out of hand, they all kept their distance and had no intention of getting involved. The takeout orders at the window continued to be sold as usual.

……

Alright! The dog owner did call three or four strong men, the oldest being in his early thirties and the youngest in his early twenties. They were dressed in all sorts of summer clothes, and it was hard to tell who they were. The man in the lead was more than half a head taller than Bian Mu. He was tall and strong and looked quite energetic. The group of men arrived at a brisk pace.

"Did you kill him?!" the leader asked Bian Mu in an icy tone.

"What?! Who are you?!" Bian Mu didn't follow the other person's logic at all, and asked him in return which god he was!

"Damn it! You need more training! Pay whatever you owe, and behave yourself! If you say another word, I'll cripple you!" The leader threatened Bian Mu fiercely.

"Who are you?!" Bian Mu repeated, not at all angry!
Slightly startled, the leader's lips twitched slightly. He glanced at Bian Mu with a sinister grin, then suddenly feinted a punch in front of Bian Mu's face. Before Bian Mu could react, the man viciously raised his leg and delivered a heavy counter-kick with a strange, zigzagging motion. If the kick had landed, Bian Mu would have been lying there unconscious on the spot.

In a flash, as the leading man used his most powerful move, his center of gravity shifted slightly forward, and he didn't have time to adjust his balance. Bian Mu suddenly shrunk and sidestepped, slinging the man's left leg onto Bian Mu's left shoulder. In the blink of an eye, while carrying and delivering the man, Bian Mu also lightly tapped the inside of the man's right leg with his thumb, the force of which was quite strong.

With a "whoosh," the leader was sent flying far away like a kite with its string cut. He lay on the ground and tried to struggle a couple of times, but ultimately couldn't move more than a few steps.

Just then, the police officers on duty arrived.

Bian Mu guessed that there were some kind-hearted people among the onlookers who had called the police.

……

The local police station took their statements, and the mother and daughter who had caused the trouble were off the hook. Without saying another word, they hurriedly left.

A few more minutes passed, and there was still no sign of the homeless man showing up. Bian Mu realized that he might have miscalculated today. A homeless man is a homeless man; he lacks perseverance. He shouldn't have trusted him so much in the first place. It seems that Bian Mu will at least have to pay for the dead dog. Even if he has a sense of justice, he can't prove it now! He will try his best to try and, according to a certain proportion, Bian Mu will eventually have to pay the man some money.

What bad luck!
