The fish fillet was delicious, but the portion was small.

Fortunately, the Madeira cruise ship had ample supplies, which allowed the group to eat their fill.

After a hearty meal, Xu San chatted with the captain for a few more minutes before getting up to take his leave.

After all, the captain also needs to make his specimen.

This needs to be done as soon as possible. Although ice helps keep things fresh, people who enjoy crafting will be impatient once they get the materials they want.

After leaving the small dining room, Xu San finally began to truly examine the ship.

Although two little tails followed behind, they did not disturb Xu San.

As you stroll along the deep red carpeted corridor, brass wall lamps cast warm yellow glows on the teak wall panels.

These decorations, which seem somewhat out of place on a modern cruise ship, appear to reflect some of the captain's thoughts and emotions.

Xu San also misses home, his future home, and his home in Ping'an County.

Unbeknownst to him, Xu San had walked to the bow of the ship. To his surprise, there was a golden figurehead of Poseidon, the god of the sea, at the bow.

Gently stroking it with my fingertips, I can almost feel the story of how it once sheltered a fishing boat at sea, helped it weather the storm, and brought it home safely.

A slender, long hand also appeared on the figurehead, and Elisa said softly, "This figurehead is quite old."

Xu San nodded slightly, "This should be Poseidon, his trident is easy to identify."

“Poseidon is the Greek god of the sea, one of the twelve Olympian gods,” Elisa explained softly. “He is the ocean, all waters, and everything associated with them. When he wields his signature weapon, the trident, he can not only unleash towering waves and devastating storms, but also cause earthquakes.”

Elisa's tone was flat, showing no reverence for the sea god. That was fine; she was German, and Poseidon was a Greek god, so naturally she wouldn't have much reverence for him.

As dusk settled outside the porthole, the inky blue of the Pacific Ocean blended with the horizon, as if the entire ship were sailing into the boundless universe.

As I turned the corner of the stairs, a French chanson drifted out from the half-open salon doors.

He stopped and looked over, and saw several Japanese businessmen dressed in three-piece suits, but kneeling upright, discussing the New York stock market with European tourists in English.

Xu San had no interest in these things; he glanced at them and quickly walked away.

“Aren’t you going to talk to them?” Lisa asked.

"I don't like kneeling, and those girls look so stiff, not as pleasing to the eye as you sisters," Xu San said with a hint of teasing.

"Does the word 'pleasing to the eye' mean I'm pretty?" Although Lisa speaks fluent English, she wasn't quite sure what Xu San meant, so she asked.

"Yes, looking at beautiful women is a wonderful thing," Xu San explained again with a smile.

Reaching the upper deck, the salty sea breeze tousled Elisa's long hair. She brushed her hair aside, took a deep breath of the sea breeze, and looked absolutely beautiful.

Xu San suggested, "Elisa, stay in the island nation for two years and then leave."

"Two years? Why? That's not enough time for me to finish my studies."

"You'll see then! Two years from now, if you're no longer in this island nation, I hope you'll remember what I said today."

I'm really out of sorts. I want to start a new book, but right now I have almost no desire to express myself.
Let's not dwell on unhappy things. Happy Mid-Autumn Festival to all our readers! (End of Chapter)
