He Jiaxi moved into Liu Xiaoling's room without any hesitation and changed all of her bed sheets and duvet covers to new ones. If it weren't for the fact that the bed was hard to throw away, she would have preferred to replace it with the one she brought herself.

“Hongyu, once my mom has cleaned up the north room tomorrow, we’ll move the furniture from the yard in. We’ll make do here for the night.”

He Jiaxi's husband, Yan Hongyu, holding the child, said with some hesitation, "Is it not appropriate for us to occupy Fifth Sister's room like this?"

He Jiaxi said dismissively, "What does it matter? She wanted to leave on her own, I didn't force her."

Yan Hongyu frowned slightly and said cautiously, "How about we invite Fifth Sister back tomorrow? It's really not good that we moved here suddenly without discussing it with her beforehand."

He Jiaxi rolled her eyes and said, "What's wrong with that? This is my home. It's only natural for me to move back in. As long as my mother agrees, why should Liu Xiaoling object?"

Yan Hongyu sighed, "After all, they are sisters. There's no need to make a scene like this. We'll just stay for two days."

He Jiaxi sneered, "Who said I'm just staying for two days? I never intended to leave once I moved in!"

Yan Hongyu asked in surprise, "Ah! You really don't plan to move back!"

He Jiaxi said excitedly, "I asked around and found out that my house is worth at least tens of thousands of yuan. If we sell it, we'll have money to buy a new house."

Yan Hongyu frowned and said, "Would your mother agree to sell the house? Besides, she can't possibly give you all the money from the sale; you have five older sisters!"

He Jiaxi laughed and said, "My mom loves me the most. As long as I coax her a bit, I'm sure I can swindle the money out of her. As for my five older sisters, why do you care about them? They all have houses anyway, so why would they dare to compete with me for them!"

Yan Hongyu said cautiously, "But you six sisters agreed that Fifth Sister would take care of her in her old age and leave the old house to her. How can Fifth Sister agree to this blatant robbery?"

He Jiaxi said nonchalantly, "Who will take care of the elderly depends on my mother's wishes. I'm confident I can take over the responsibility of caring for her, and then the house will be ours!"

Yan Hongyu asked in surprise, "If you're going to take care of your mother in her old age, what about my mother?"

He Jiaxi snorted, "Are you stupid! Once I get the house, I'll just push my mom and grandma onto Lao Wu! Doesn't she want to take care of us in our old age? Then so be it."

"They are your own mother and grandmother!" Yan Hongyu exclaimed in surprise.

"Grandma and Mom aren't just mine," He Jiaxi sneered.
“My mother has so many daughters. If she stays at each family for a month, half a year will pass.”

Yan Hongyu said worriedly, "I always feel it's not appropriate, and besides, your five older sisters wouldn't agree."

He Jiaxi said confidently, "As long as I can get my mother on my side, my sisters are no threat."

The young couple were secretly plotting against the house in their room, while across the street in Liu Meixin's room, He Wenshi was scolding her daughter-in-law.

"Meixin, how could you let Lao Liu's family move in and kick Lao Wu out!"

"Mom, I didn't chase away the fifth child. She ran back to her parents' home on her own," Liu Meixin said innocently.

“You shouldn’t have let Lao Liu move back,” He Wenshi sighed. “It’s easy to invite a god in, but hard to send him away. Once Lao Liu moves in, it will be hard for him to leave.”

Liu Meixin said, "Old Liu had a big fight with her wicked mother-in-law, so she had no choice but to move back."

He Wenshi sneered, "You believe her nonsense? There's not a single word of truth in Lao Liu's mouth!"

Liu Meixin said confidently, "Sixth Sister wouldn't lie to me. I raised her from childhood. She wouldn't lie to me, no matter who she's lying to."

He Wenshi gave her daughter-in-law a deep look and sighed, "You are usually a very shrewd person, so why do you always make a fool of yourself when you are with the sixth son?"

Liu Meixin retorted, "I'm not confused. Isn't it a good thing to have another daughter come back for us to raise?" He Wenshi shook her head and said, "Sixth son is different. Her purpose in coming back is not pure. She just wants the house."

Liu Meixin rolled her eyes and said, "Do you think Lao Wu doesn't want the house? If we hadn't promised to transfer the house to her in the future, Lao Wu wouldn't have come back to take care of us in our old age."

He Wenshi advised, "The fifth one is different. She genuinely wants to take care of us in our old age. Otherwise, she wouldn't have chosen to stay in Huainan in the first place."

Liu Meixin stubbornly insisted, "Anyway, I've figured it out. As long as the house is in my hands, I'll have my daughter to support me in my old age. Anything else is just empty talk."

He Wenshi looked at Liu Meixin with surprise and finally understood her daughter-in-law's thoughts. She was planning to use the house to keep her daughters tied up so that she could take care of herself in her old age!
"Meixin, you should think this through. Using the house to keep your fifth and sixth sons hanging on might just destroy the last bit of family affection you have left!"

"Mom, don't worry! I know what I'm doing. I've lived longer than they've lived. They're my children, how could they possibly outmaneuver me?"

Looking at her stubborn daughter-in-law, He Wenshi was utterly disappointed. She thought to herself, "My son really knows how to judge people! Liu Meixin is shrewd in small matters, but muddle-headed in big ones!"
"Keep acting up! In the end, you'll end up with nothing!" He Wenshi left Liu Meixin's room angrily.

Liu Meixin was still smug, thinking she had done the right thing.

The next day, Liu Meixin helped He Jiaxi tidy up the north room so that her youngest daughter and her family of three could move in.

Liu Xiaoling and Yang Zhenmin went back to the He family home and found that He Jiaxi had moved all the furniture into the house. They were so angry that they started packing their own things.

"Fifth brother, what are you doing?" Liu Meixin asked, stopping Liu Xiaoling.

"Mom, didn't you want Lao Liu to take care of you in your old age? If you think I'm in the way, I'll move out, okay?" Liu Xiaoling dragged out the suitcase and packed all her and her husband's clothes inside.

"I didn't mean that!" Liu Meixin said, "You used to have a good relationship with the Sixth Sister! You even lived in the same room when you were little, how come you don't even want to live under the same roof now!"

"Mom, the reason I moved back here was to take care of you and Grandma in your old age. Now that you don't need me anymore, I have no choice but to leave."

Liu Xiaoling packed her luggage and left, dragging her suitcase with her.

"Fifth Brother, Fifth Brother, don't go!" Liu Meixin then realized that she might have gone too far.

Liu Xiaoling left the He family without hesitation, and He Jiaxi ran out to stop her mother.

"Mom, let Fifth Sister go if she wants to leave! You still have me. Hongyu and I will take care of you in the future."

He Jiaxi was eager for Liu Xiaoling to move out completely so she could have the house all to herself, so how could she let Liu Meixin stop Liu Xiaoling?

Liu Meixin watched Liu Xiaoling leave, her heart breaking!

But what saddened her even more was what happened next: He Wenshi came out carrying a bag.

"Mom, where are you going?"

“I’m going to stay at Jiali’s house for two days,” He Wenshi said, glancing at He Jiaxi.

"What? You're moving out too!" Liu Meixin was struck dumb.

"You won't listen to me anymore, what's the point of me staying?" He Wenshi snorted coldly and turned to leave.

"Mom, don't go!" Liu Meixin was held tightly by He Jiaxi and could not stop He Wenshi from leaving.

He Jiaxi said excitedly, "Mom, let Grandma stay at my eldest sister's house for a couple of days. She'll definitely come back once she calms down." (End of Chapter)
