The heavens set sail from the courtyard

Chapter 2014 Old acquaintance

When the bald friend rushed up, Lu Tao prepared to lead his classmates in a fight.

They were a group of college students, at an age when they were fearless and reckless. They had been drinking, and they were like a barrel full of gunpowder, ready to explode at any moment.

Lu Tao was already prepared to protect his girlfriend, Mi Lai, behind him to prevent her from being caught in the fight.

But soon everyone realized that there was no room for them to make a move. Wang Gang was an impregnable force, and Baldy's friends were no match for him. They were all lying on the ground in no time.

Seeing that things were going badly, the restaurant owner immediately called the police. The police responded quickly and arrived in less than three minutes, where they found a lot of injured people on the ground.

When the bald man saw the police arrive, he shouted excitedly, "Officer, help me!"

The police immediately brought the scene under control, then took the uninjured people to the police station and the injured to the hospital.

Wang Gang acted with great restraint, only using a grappling technique to dislocate his bald friend's shoulder. In essence, they were not injured; all that was needed was to set the dislocated joint.

Millai filmed the entire process with a camera and handed it over to the police as evidence.

After Wang Gang and the others were taken to the police station, the police made them all squat down with their hands behind their heads. Mi Lai was spared because she submitted evidence and was a girl.

When the police reviewed the footage, they were astonished to see Wang Gang use dislocation techniques to take down seven or eight people in three minutes.

"You're a trained fighter," the policeman asked Wang Gang, who was squatting down, holding up a camera.

"Officer, I went very lightly. They don't even have minor injuries!" Wang Gang said with a smile.

"Hmph! Get serious!" The policeman slammed his hand on the table and shouted, "Are you still students? Do you know what kind of situation this is? What will happen if the school is notified?"

"Officer, he attacked first, we were just defending ourselves," Xiang Nan said, holding his head. "At most, we could be considered to have acted excessively in self-defense!"

"You even know about excessive self-defense?" the police officer asked in surprise.

The bald man exclaimed excitedly, "Officer, he beat all my friends so badly they ended up in the hospital!"

"Shut up!" the policeman snapped. "Did I ask you a question?"

The bald man looked like someone who had been involved in organized crime, and the video footage provided by Mi Lai showed that he was the one who started the fight by hitting Wang Gang with a beer bottle, forcing Wang Gang to retaliate. That's why the police treated the bald man more strictly.

Lu Tao nudged Xiang Nan with his leg and whispered, "Have you contacted your dad? Isn't he in the police force too? Hurry up and get your uncle to come and bail us out!"

Xiang Nan said with difficulty, "I'm afraid if I call my dad, he'll be the first one to beat me up!"

Hua Zi said anxiously, "It's better for you to get a beating from your uncle than for us all to spend the night at the police station!"

Xiang Nan struggled with the decision and hesitated for a long time.

Mi Lai pleaded with the police, "Officer, you've seen the video footage. We really didn't start anything. Please let us go!"

The police refused to release them, making Wang Gang and his men continue to squat there until news came from the hospital.

Everyone squatted together, and for a moment they felt a sense of shared misfortune, and all their anger dissipated.

Baldy and Hua Zi looked at each other and realized they looked familiar. After chatting, they discovered they were former neighbors.

Baldy's nickname was Pighead. He and Hua Zi were neighbors for many years, but they separated due to demolition. Because his appearance had changed so much, Hua Zi didn't recognize him at first.

The two became friends after a fight and decided to settle the matter privately to avoid troubling the police.

News also came from the hospital that the person Wang Gang knocked down only had a dislocated wrist and was fine after treatment.

Seeing that the two sides had reconciled, the police didn't make things difficult for Wang Gang and his group, and released them directly.

When they left the police station, Pighead and Hua Zi were still chatting and laughing, completely unlike the tense atmosphere they had in the restaurant. The two even made plans to have dinner together privately.

As I walked south out of the police station, I saw a middle-aged man in a police uniform standing in front of me.

"Dad, why are you here?" Xiang Nan called out fearfully.

"Hmph, I got a call from the police station late at night, I thought my colleague had made a mistake," Xiang's father said with a stern face. "Dad, I didn't mean to cause trouble, it was just an accident," Xiang Nan said. He was very afraid of his father, so he didn't dare to call for help after being arrested.

I'll deal with you when we get home!

Xiang Nan's father snorted coldly, then looked at Wang Gang.

"Your name is Gao Qiang, right?"

Wang Gang nodded and said, "Hello, Uncle Xiang."

He smiled at his father and said, "Your kung fu is quite good. Where did you learn it?"

Wang Gang calmly replied, "Hehe, I just learned it by watching TV."

Xiang's father said with a half-smile, "I've seen the video. Your grappling technique is clean and efficient. You must have studied it for at least five years. Otherwise, it would be impossible to be so precise, only dislocating the shoulder without injuring anyone!"

Wang Gang scratched the back of his head and pretended to be stupid, saying, "I've loved martial arts since I was a child, and I've practiced it haphazardly for a few years."

Xiang's father gave Wang Gang a meaningful look. He knew that Wang Gang's grappling skills were practical and must have been taught by a master, but since the master didn't want to talk about it, he didn't feel comfortable asking.

"Xiang Nan, come home with me," Xiang's father said in a deep voice.

Xiang Nan shuddered, knowing he would be in deep trouble if he went home, and looked to Lu Tao and the others for help.

Lu Tao and Hua Zi acted as if it were none of their business, avoiding Xiang Nan's pleading gaze.

"What are you still standing there for?" Xiang's father sneered.

Xiang Nan shrank back, his face contorted in a grimace, and went home with his father.

After Xiang's father left, Pighead said to Hua Zi, "Let's keep in touch when we have time. We've become friends through this misunderstanding."

Hua Zi smiled and said, "I'll treat you and your friends to dinner in a couple of days as an apology."

Pighead glanced at Wang Gang beside him and laughed, "Your classmate's kung fu is really good. Let's practice again sometime."

Lu Tao retorted defiantly, "Haven't you had enough yet?"

Pighead waved his hand and said, "It's just for communication, not fighting. I know quite a few people who are skilled in martial arts."

Lu Tao and Hua Zi didn't say anything then. After saying goodbye to Zhu Tou, Lu Tao punched Wang Gang on the shoulder.

"Gao Qiang, when did you become so powerful? You took down seven or eight people in three minutes! You're a martial arts master!" Lu Tao exclaimed exaggeratedly.

"Yes! Yes! You guys didn't watch the video just now. Gao Qiang is incredibly fast, like an action star. And that Li Jie, I almost missed filming him from behind," Mi Lai said excitedly.

"Gao Qiang, when did you learn martial arts?" Hua Zi pressed.

"It's just some grappling techniques, I practice them for self-defense," Wang Gang explained. "I didn't say anything before because I never had the chance. I can't just tell everyone I'm a master, can I?"

Mi Lai asked excitedly, "Gao Qiang, can you teach me?"

Wang Gang looked at Lu Tao and said, "With Lu Tao protecting you, why bother practicing that?"

Mi Lai joked, "If Lu Tao bullies me in the future, I can beat him up!"

After saying that, Mi Lai waved her little fist at Lu Tao, but she was so thin that it looked like she was just being coquettish.

Wang Gang chatted and laughed with Lu Tao and the others for a while, then took a taxi home, and the others also said goodbye one after another.

Mi Lai and Lu Tao weren't tired at all; on the contrary, they found the night very exciting. So they drove to a roadside spot to be affectionate, and then Lu Tao fell in love at first sight with a beautiful woman passing by.

Unfortunately, that woman turned out to be Mila's friend, Charlene. (End of Chapter)
