When Xu Zhisen took Lu Tao and Xia Lin to experience the life of the rich, the opening ceremony of Hua Zi Auto Dealership had already ended, and Wang Gang sent Mi Lai back to the Mi family.

After Mi Lai had a good cry and released her emotions, she returned to normal, but Wang Gang was still worried that she might do something foolish.

The main reason is that Mi Lai's actions in the original novel were too outrageous; she was willing to do anything for the male lead, Lu Tao.

For example, he might secretly return from abroad and spy on Lu Tao from across the street from Lu Tao's house.

For Lu Tao's career, they did not hesitate to break the law and manipulate the bidding results behind closed doors.

To support Lu Tao's ideals, his father, Mi Lixiong, almost went bankrupt.

In short, Mi Lai is the ultimate love-obsessed person. She'll do anything to pursue a man and has absolutely no bottom line.

Although with Wang Gang's intervention, Mi Lai's situation is much better than in the original storyline, but she still hasn't given up on Lu Tao. Therefore, Wang Gang doesn't dare to be careless and can only keep an eye on her personally.

Sitting in the taxi, Wang Gang glanced back at Mi Lai, who had gradually calmed down, and considered whether he should buy a car for commuting.

In fact, Wang Gang had long wanted to buy a car, and even wanted to buy one for his parents as well, otherwise it would be very troublesome when the capital city implemented license plate restrictions in a few years.

"Gao Qiang, I don't want to go home right now. Let's go to Sister Manny's bar," Mi Lai suddenly said to Wang Gang.

"You can't drink anymore, you really don't want your health to improve!" Wang Gang refused decisively.

“I don’t want to drink. I want to go out with Sister Manny, which will give you a chance to pursue her,” Mila explained.

"Uh," Wang Gang thought for a moment.

"What are you still thinking about!" Mi Lai said impatiently to the taxi driver, "Sir, please go to the bar street instead."

Wang Gang did not stop Mi Lai, and the taxi driver even whistled when he heard that a big job was coming.

The car quickly arrived at the entrance of Manny's Bar, where Wang Gang saw Manny emotionally pulling a middle-aged woman out.

Miley asked curiously, "Is Sister Manny arguing with that woman?"

Wang Gang asked the driver to park the car further away, and then he and Mi Lai got out of the car together.

At this point, Manny and the middle-aged woman were arguing more and more fiercely. Manny even pushed the woman, knocking her to the ground.

After the woman fell, Manny tensed for a second and instinctively reached out to help her up, but stopped halfway.

"Sister Manny, are you alright?" Mila rushed over and asked.

When Manny saw Mi Lai and Wang Gang, her expression changed, and she said nervously, "Mi Lai, you two go in first, I have some personal matters to attend to."

Wang Gang glanced at the woman on the ground and asked, "Do you need any help?"

Manny shook her head and said, "No need, you guys go in! I can handle it myself."

Miley hurriedly said, "Sister Manny, call us if you need anything."

Manny nodded, then pushed Mi Lai and Wang Gang into the bar before speaking to the woman on the ground:
"You can leave now! I still have business to do."

"Xiaoman." The woman struggled to her feet and pleaded, "Your father doesn't have much time left. He just wants to see you one last time."

Manny scoffed, "I don't want to see him."

The middle-aged woman pleaded, "Xiaoman, I know you resent me. As long as you go to see your father, I will agree to any request you make."

Manny scoffed, "If I asked you to divorce him right now, you'd agree!"

The middle-aged woman's expression changed, but she still gritted her teeth and said, "Fine, as long as you go to see him, I will divorce your father immediately."

Manny scoffed, "You can talk to me about divorce when you bring me the divorce certificate!"

The middle-aged woman wanted to plead with Manny again, but two security guards from the bar had already blocked Manny's way.

“Don’t come any closer, or I’ll have you thrown out,” Manny said coldly.

After saying that, Manny walked into the bar, but two security guards blocked the entrance, preventing her from taking another step.

The middle-aged woman peered into the doorway for a while, then sighed and left in disappointment.

Manny returned to the bar, immediately putting on a smiling face, and went to find Miley and Wang Gang. "Miley, what brings you here today? We agreed that you can come and have fun, but you really can't drink anymore," Manny greeted Miley.

"Sister Manny, who was that woman at the door just now?" Mila asked curiously.

“Just a difficult customer,” Manny said calmly.

Mi Lai wanted to ask more questions, but Wang Gang stopped her.

"Give me a beer, and give Mila a non-alcoholic drink."

"Okay, coming right away." Manny smiled and turned to get the wine.

Mi Lai said to Wang Gang irritably, "Why did you stop me from asking Sister Manny?"

Wang Gang replied, "Can't you tell that Manny doesn't want to talk about that woman?"

Mi Lai pursed her lips and said, "I always felt that woman was not simple. Manny seems to be hiding something."

Wang Gang frowned and said, "What are you gossiping about in other people's private affairs?"

Miley's eyes burned with curiosity as she asked, "Aren't you curious?"

Wang Gang flicked Mi Lai's forehead and said, "Everyone has their own secrets. Since Manny doesn't want to talk about it, why do you have to pry? Be careful you don't end up not even being friends with her!"

After thinking about it, Mi Lai realized that Wang Gang was right, so she stopped worrying about it.

Just then, Mi Lai's phone rang, and she ran to the side to answer it.

Manny came over with a mini Budweiser and a drink.

"Sister Manny, are you free this weekend? Let's go out and have some fun?" Wang Gang asked Manny out on a date.

Manny pushed the beer towards Wang Gang and said, "Little brother, don't take what happened that day too seriously. Just because we played cards doesn't mean I'm your girlfriend."

Wang Gang smirked and said, "Don't you know whether I'm small or not?"

Manny blushed, perhaps recalling the passionate encounter that night.

"What do you like about me? We're so far apart in age!" Manny asked, puzzled.

"Does liking someone have anything to do with age?" Wang Gang circled his finger around the neck of a beer bottle.

“We’re really not a good match. I’ll never believe in love in my life,” Manny said bluntly. “I’m just not the type of person who can fall in love or get married.”

Wang Gang said with a half-smile, "I never said I wanted to marry you, aren't you overthinking it!"

Manny raised an eyebrow and said coolly, "Anyway, don't waste your time on me. Go find a decent woman to date!"

Wang Gang said, "How will you know it won't suit you if you don't try it? Maybe you'll like it after you try it?"

Manny retorted defiantly, "Stop daydreaming. I'll never play poker with you again."

Wang Gang chuckled and said, "What did you think I meant for you to try? I meant try dating me. What were you thinking?"

Manny snorted, "I have to entertain my guests; I don't have time to banter with you."

Wang Gang didn't stop Manny from leaving, and a few more customers did come to the bar.

Miley, having just finished her phone call, came over and said, "What were you and Sister Manny talking about? I saw her storm off!"

Wang Gang shook his head and said, "It's nothing, just casual conversation."

Mi Lai patted Wang Gang on the shoulder happily and said, "I'll introduce you to a beautiful girl later!"

Wang Gang asked, "Who is it?"

Mi Lai said mysteriously, "You'll see when they arrive. I've also brought Xiang Nan along!"

Wang Gang had a vague guess! (End of Chapter)
