The heavens set sail from the courtyard

Yang's mother couldn't remember how she got home. Her last memory was of hugging Gao's mother and then saying some unintelligible words.

When she regained consciousness, she was already in her own bed at home, and her daughter handed her a bowl of hangover soup.

"Mom, you're really drunk. Drink some hangover soup first, it'll make you feel better."

"Ah! What! I really did those things?" Yang's mother held her head and tried to recall, as if she really remembered the sworn brotherhood ceremony.

She was drunk at the time, and it seemed that she was persuaded by someone to impulsively become sworn sisters with Gao's mother, recognize Wang Gang as her godson, and then make Yang Xiaoyun call him brother.

Yang Xiaoyun stopped smiling and said seriously, "Mom, don't get any funny ideas. Gao Qiang has someone he likes. I've met that person before; she's also a friend of Mi Lai's."

Yang's mother said with exasperation, "What do you know? It's hard to find someone with such good qualities as Gao Qiang."

Yang Xiaoyun pouted and said, "I don't care about his conditions. What does it matter to us if he's rich!" Yang's mother patiently persuaded, "Daughter! I won't misjudge him. Gao Qiang has earned his current fortune at such a young age, and he will only get better in the future."

Yang Xiaoyun said irritably, "Mom, stop talking. I don't care about those things. Besides, do you expect me, a girl, to be shameless in pursuing him?"

With a stern face, Yang's mother lectured her daughter, "Why not? Haven't you heard that it's easy for a woman to pursue a man? With your looks, there's no man you can't get if you want to."

Yang Xiaoyun refused, saying, "Forced love is never sweet. Since they don't like me, why bother trying to win them over?"

No one knows a daughter better than her mother, and Yang's mother could tell something from her daughter's face.

"So, you actually have feelings for Gao Qiang!"

Yang Xiaoyun was taken aback, then shook her head and said, "I only consider him a friend, now he's my godbrother."

Yang's mother laughed and said, "Silly girl, happiness is something you have to fight for. Since you like him, why worry so much!"

"Stop talking," Yang Xiaoyun said, standing up. "I've only met him twice in total, so what's the point of talking about liking or disliking him?"

Yang's mother said, "Your father and I also got engaged after meeting only two or three times, and we've lived most of our lives together."

Some things require time to accumulate, others don't.

Yang's mother said with a half-smile, "That's not necessarily true. Who says a goddaughter can't become a daughter-in-law? In my opinion, Gao Qiang and that bar owner definitely won't make it."

But when she heard that Wang Gang liked Manny, Yang Xiaoyun wisely chose to give up.
