The heavens set sail from the courtyard

Wang Gang led his older brother and sister-in-law into a shantytown.

Liu Yunchang and Wu Xiaoying looked around at their surroundings, their expressions growing increasingly strange.

"Hongchang, does the miracle doctor you mentioned really live here?"

"Brother, that miracle doctor has an eccentric temper and is indifferent to fame and fortune, which is why he lives here."

Wu Xiaoying looked at Wang Gang suspiciously and asked, "Hongchang, you're not lying to us, are you?"

This morning, Wang Gang found Liu Yunchang and his wife, saying he would take them to see a miracle doctor to solve their problem of having a child.

Liu Yunchang, holding his wife's hand, said, "Alright! Since Hongchang says so, let's give it a try, and not let my brother's good intentions go to waste."

Wu Xiaoying knew that her husband also didn't quite believe in that miracle doctor, but he came because he didn't want to offend his younger brother.

The wooden door was half-open, and Wang Gang pushed it open and entered.

"Hongchang, isn't it inappropriate to just go in like this?" Liu Yunchang felt his younger brother was being abrupt; he should at least knock on the door first!

"The miracle doctor told me to come straight in," Wang Gang explained. "I'll take you to the living room first; the miracle doctor should be taking a nap right now."

Liu Yunchang hesitated before saying, "Alright then!"

Wang Gang led the person into the house and closed the door behind him.

Liu Yunchang and Wu Xiaoying entered the house and discovered that it was a hidden gem. Although the door was small, the interior was antique and elegant, with tables, chairs and furniture that were clearly antiques and quite valuable.

“This courtyard house was originally confiscated, but it was only recently returned to the miracle doctor,” Wang Gang said with a smile. “We just came in through the back door. The front door is much more impressive, but the miracle doctor doesn’t like to show off, so he never opens the front door.”

Liu Yunchang and Wu Xiaoying are now starting to trust Wang Gang a little.

"Brother and sister-in-law, please sit down for a while. I'll go inside and call the miracle doctor."

"No," Liu Yunchang said urgently, "Since the divine doctor is taking a nap, let's wait a while."

Wang Gang said, "I didn't ask for leave today. I have to go back to work this afternoon, but I can't wait for him to wake up."

Not long after, a middle-aged man wearing a long gown and with a full beard came out.

"You two are Liu Hongchang's elder brother and sister-in-law?" The man yawned, glancing sideways at Liu Yunchang and Wu Xiaoying, not even giving them a proper look. "Miracle Doctor!" Liu Yunchang and Wu Xiaoying stood up, quite nervously saying, "We've disturbed the miracle doctor's afternoon nap."

The man said with a stern face, "It's alright. Liu Hongchang promised to cook ten delicious dishes for me before I'll agree to treat your illnesses. Who wants to go first?"

Liu Yunchang asked curiously, "Miracle Doctor, where is my brother?"

The doctor said impatiently, "Liu Hongchang is cooking for me in the kitchen. Are you going to treat my illness or not?"

"We'll treat her! We'll treat her!" Wu Xiaoying said excitedly. "Miracle doctor, we've been married for many years and haven't had children. Do you think you can cure us?"

The doctor gestured for Wu Xiaoying to sit down and said, "Extend your right hand so I can check your pulse."

Wu Xiaoying sat upright and obediently extended her right wrist.

The doctor placed a finger on Wu Xiaoying's pulse point and said after a long time, "Your periods are usually irregular, aren't they? Either they don't come for a long time, or they come very lightly and don't stop for many days."

Wu Xiaoying said excitedly, "Yes, that's right. I've seen a traditional Chinese medicine doctor before, and he told me to take medicine to regulate my body, but I couldn't get better no matter what I did."

The doctor withdrew his finger and said, "You had a miscarriage before, and it wasn't treated properly, leaving you with a chronic condition."

Wu Xiaoying and Liu Yunchang exchanged a glance and no longer doubted the man's medical skills.

The man curled his lip in disdain and said, "Your wife hasn't recovered from her miscarriage yet, and you two are already in a hurry to have sex!"

Liu Yunchang blushed and said embarrassedly, "Miracle doctor, you are truly amazing! You can even tell this from the pulse?"

The man said coldly, "Nonsense! A woman cannot have sex for at least a month after a miscarriage. Don't you understand this basic principle?"

Wu Xiaoying didn't blame her husband. It was her own eagerness to conceive again that caused the problem; it wasn't just Liu Yunchang's fault.

"Fortunately, you met me. I'll prescribe some medicine for you to drink for a month to help your body recover. Come back next month," the divine doctor said.

"Will I be able to have a baby in a month?" Wu Xiaoying asked anxiously.

"Your ailment has been going on for too long; it will probably take at least six months of recuperation to fully recover," the doctor advised. "During the recovery period, sexual intercourse is strictly prohibited."

Liu Yunchang quickly assured, "Miracle Doctor, I promise I won't touch my wife."

The doctor snorted and said, "Now it's your turn. Extend your left hand."

Liu Yunchang extended his wrist without hesitation.

The divine physician took the pulse with one finger again, this time for a longer time, and then added another finger halfway through.

Seeing the doctor's increasingly grim expression, Liu Yunchang and Wu Xiaoying grew nervous.

"Miracle doctor, is my problem getting worse?" Liu Yunchang asked anxiously.

The doctor withdrew his finger, glanced at Wu Xiaoying, and said, "Go to the well in the backyard and fetch a bucket of water for me."

"Okay, I'll go right away."

After Wu Xiaoying left, the doctor said to Liu Yunchang, "Your kidney energy is severely depleted. Besides your wife, are there other women outside?"

Liu Yunchang's expression changed upon hearing this!
