Chapter 1343

After a period of recuperation, Qingfeng gradually recovered. His pale face regained color and became rosy. He started running around with the children of Shicun, and his physical strength was no longer a problem.

In the days that followed, Little Dot went out early and returned late, spending his time alone in the deep mountains studying the original truths, and occasionally fighting against ferocious beasts to test what he had learned.

The next realm is called "Cave Heaven," which is of paramount importance to cultivators. The deeper one's accumulation in the Blood Removal Realm, the more terrifying the power that will erupt in this realm.

Little One has been accumulating experience and hopes to soar to new heights and achieve amazing results.

As evening fell, the sunset glowed like blood, staining half the sky red. Floating fiery clouds were edged with gold, and even the stone village seemed to be shrouded in a mysterious light.

Er Meng yelled loudly, attracting the attention of his tribesmen who looked towards the lake. They saw him riding a unicorn, running wildly at such a speed that his face turned pale, and he dared not dismount.

"It wasn't Little One who tamed Little White, it was another unicorn. Er Meng has really grown up; he actually wants to tame a precious steed!" A group of adults exclaimed in amazement, noting that even they hadn't managed to do it.

Hearing these words, Er Meng almost burst into tears. On the back of the shimmering silver unicorn, he said with a sob, "Who wanted to subdue it? I was feeding Little White Berries, and it came over and wanted some too. It wasn't afraid of me, but... I got a little tempted and rode on it. And then, it went crazy!"

Upon hearing this, the clansmen all burst into laughter.

Recently, Little White has returned to the herd, and it can now freely enter and leave the village, where the villagers often feed it berries and other treats. This has greatly reduced the unicorns' wariness, and occasionally one or two of them will come over to freeload.

Just as Little Dot said, gradually, these unicorns will accept their kind and sooner or later become rideable steeds.

"Er Meng, keep going! It hasn't attacked you, which means it's still relatively friendly. Don't fall and embarrass yourself. Hang in there!" Shi Linhu shouted.

And so, the unicorn ran around the lake dozens of times without getting tired, but Ermeng almost vomited, as if it were flying through the clouds.

Finally, the unicorn stopped, stood upright, threw him to the ground, and then leisurely trotted back towards the herd.

"Good sign. This unicorn is clearly playing with the children. Sooner or later it will integrate into our Stone Village." Clan Chief Shi Yunfeng watched from the side and couldn't help but laugh.

As for the group of grown men, they were already breathing heavily, eager to get their hands on the prized horse immediately.

Sure enough, in the following days, the unicorn relaxed more and became closer to the children, allowing them to climb on its back and carrying them to run along the lake.

This made a group of strong men both envious and jealous, but they were helpless because they were too big and it was not easy to gain the unicorn's trust. The unicorn was still very wary of them.

The elders all laughed. Stone Village was truly growing stronger and stronger. In the near future, they would surely subdue dozens of unicorns. Just thinking about it made them smile.

Such spirit beasts are very difficult to capture. Not to mention a village, even a powerful tribe would hardly have a few, but they would have dozens!
Two weeks later, a group of children shouted excitedly, and more than a dozen of them rode on the unicorns. They were able to ride them, provided that they were given plenty of berries to feed them properly.

"Haha, great! Little one, how about we have a race? Let's see whose unicorn runs the fastest." Pi Hou and the others winked and grinned, quite smug.

"I still want to cultivate," the little one said.

"Come on, cultivating every day is too boring. Let's go relax and hunt some ferocious beasts in the mountains. Isn't that also a form of cultivation? We can have a delicious barbecue when we get back tonight. Isn't that great?" a big kid urged.

"Alright then." The little one thought for a moment and nodded.

A group of adults were envious again. None of them managed to ride the unicorn, but the little rascals all mounted it, and many of the children got their own unicorns.

"Dazhuang, hurry up and tame him so your old man can ride him for a couple of days, or I'll skin you alive!" Shi Dazhuang's father said angrily.

Beside him, Shi Linhu roared, "Tiger, did you hear that? You'd better tame it quickly, stop showing off. If you don't let me ride you, I'll deal with you later."

"Haha..." A group of people burst into laughter. The father was jealous of the son, which was truly speechless.

The elderly people were all smiles, as the best-case scenario they had envisioned was finally beginning to appear. Stone Village was recovering and becoming stronger, and perhaps one day it could truly recreate its ancient glory.

The villagers were quite relieved. The little guy had even ventured across the vast wilderness, so with him around, there shouldn't be any danger.

"Let's go!" Er Meng shouted, and charged out first.

"Slow down, wait for me!" The snotty kid lagged behind, wiped his nose, and chased after them. Even he had earned the trust of a unicorn, leaving the group of older kids who didn't have mounts for the time being speechless.

More than a dozen unicorns, their silver hooves churning, sped away like divine arrows, leaving streaks of silver light as they disappeared into the mountains.

"Little one, let's have a competition." The mischievous monkey started showing off again.

“None of your unicorns can outrun Little White,” said Little Dot. Little White was originally the strongest unicorn he had chosen. After consuming the Five-Colored Peacock Egg and drinking the blood of the Vermilion Bird, it became even stronger, its entire body flowing with silver light, and it was exceptionally majestic.

The unicorn ran incredibly fast. A group of children shouted and rushed out for hundreds of miles. Sure enough, Little White was far ahead and was waiting at the very front.

"Let's go hunting. It's time to show off our skills," Tiger suggested.

"Whoosh," "Whoosh"...

The iron arrow whistled through the forest, startling a chorus of roars from the beasts. Moments later, a group of children rode unicorns and fled in disarray, for they had encountered a huge creature that they could not defeat.

Even a powerful creature like Little Dot was frantically fleeing on Little White when a spiky beast charged out from behind. It was entirely black, covered in towering bone spikes that gleamed with dark light and were incredibly sharp.

This spiky beast had the head of a dragon, a body somewhat like a hedgehog, and a crocodile tail. It was enormous, measuring seventy or eighty meters in length. When it opened its mouth, it breathed fire, instantly melting an entire mountaintop, with lava gushing out.

The group of children turned green with anger, spurred their horses and galloped away, no longer daring to show off.

The little one lagged behind, taking care of the snotty-nosed kid and the others. Fortunately, the spiky beast wasn't very fast, and it was soon left behind.

"My goodness, that was terrifying. When I rode the unicorn out of the village, I thought I had become a great hero. Now it seems I'm still just a little bear and need to be tempered."

After fleeing for over a hundred miles, they finally stopped, panting heavily, looking as if they were still shaken.

"Little one, you're really something! Crossing such a terrifying mountain range by yourself for 300,000 miles is truly frightening!"

They had only traveled a few hundred miles when they encountered such a behemoth. If they had been a step slower, they would have been devoured alive and left without a burial place.

"What's so strange about that? When my brother was protecting me on my way back, we saw a ferocious beast as big as a mountain. It crushed a mountain peak with a single swipe of its claw," Qingfeng said.

The children were amazed and full of admiration.

"No, I must cultivate diligently and master the bone script to perfection, so that I can become a great master as soon as possible," Pi Hou vowed.

Dazhuang, Ermeng, Huzi, and Bitiwa all nodded. The brief brush with danger made them realize the importance of strength and the need for hard work and perseverance. Shi Ankang, who was a few years older, also nodded repeatedly, his eyes filled with admiration as he looked at Shi Hao.
This made Shi Hao feel smug for a moment.

"Where are we? We're probably six or seven hundred miles away from the village. Hey, there's smoke rising from the other side of the mountain," Er Meng pointed ahead.

Tiger rolled his eyes and said, "The smoke from your house is so thick and strong! I can see it from across the mountain. There must be a fire. Come on, let's go take a look."

A dozen unicorns rushed up the mountainside like a silver whirlwind. Looking down through the branches of ancient trees, they were immediately taken aback.

It was a village with about two hundred households, but now every house was on fire, flames soaring into the sky and billowing black smoke.

There were no cries for help in the village; apart from the flames and thick smoke, it was deathly still.

"Look!" Dazhuang pointed into the distance.

On the horizon, a massive figure was receding into the distance, along with several people riding ferocious beasts, wielding blood-stained blades, retreating. Even from this distance, one could feel the intense malevolence emanating from them.

"Who are those people? They destroyed this village!" Da Zhuang and the others were shocked and felt a chill.

The little boy remained silent, staring at the enormous figure. It was a ferocious beast, its body covered in shimmering runes, surrounded by a group of people, and treated with great reverence. He felt it resembled a sacrificial spirit.

The children looked at each other in bewilderment only after the ferocious beast and the group of people disappeared.

"Let's go down and take a look."

They rode their unicorns down into the valley below, and as soon as they approached the village, they smelled a pungent stench of blood. As they went forward, what they saw was horrific.

One corpse after another lay in pools of blood. There were elderly people with white hair, their heads severed and thrown by the roadside, and infants in swaddling clothes, who were killed along with their mothers.

"That's so cruel! They don't even spare the elderly and children!"

A group of children were chilled and filled with rage upon witnessing this horrific scene. How could people be so inhumane, cruelly killing even women, children, the elderly, and the weak who had no ability to resist? What was the purpose of this?
Some children's eyes turned red, and they couldn't help but shed tears.

"What kind of people are these? How could they do such a thing?"

The fire raged, setting all the buildings ablaze. A fierce resistance had taken place in the east of the village, fought by a group of strong men, but they were all dismembered and died a gruesome death; their weapons were also broken.

"Oh no, that's the village's sacred spirit, it's been killed!" a child exclaimed.

In the center of the village stood an altar, beside which lay a colossal beast, resembling a lion but with eight legs and a pair of black horns on its head. It lay bleeding profusely beside the altar, half its body devoured, its primordial bones nowhere to be found.

"The ferocious beast that just left ate half of its body." The children were horrified; a sacrificial spirit had actually become food.

Flames raged through the village, scorching the streets, making the unicorn feel unbearable and unwilling to stay there.

Suddenly, a faint groan came from an old man with white hair. His stomach had been cut open, and blood and intestines were spilling all over the ground, but he was still alive.

"Old man!"

The children jumped off the unicorn and hurriedly crouched down to check his injuries, only to be disheartened; such severe injuries could not possibly allow him to survive.

"I hate them! Those people were so cruel... They didn't even spare babies who were only a few months old. They slaughtered our entire village," the old man cried.

Not far away, several children were thrown to their deaths on the ground; it was a sight too painful to witness, a cruelty that was utterly appalling.

"Who are they, and why are they doing this?" Tiger asked.

“A group of fierce bandits suddenly appeared. They came once before, demanding black gold from us. When the deadline arrived, we couldn’t pay, so they massacred the village. Even our sacrificial spirits were killed in battle.”

The old man spoke while weeping. At such an advanced age, his white hair was stained with blood and tears, a sight that evoked both heartache and anger.

"Waaaa, I hate it..."

The old man had a sudden burst of lucidity before he died. After saying these words, he immediately passed out. In the end, tears mixed with blood streamed down his face, and he lay motionless.

Finally, the children left, and when they looked back, the fire had died down, and the entire village had been reduced to ruins, a charred wasteland.

With heavy hearts and no longer in the mood for hunting, they rode their unicorns back to Stone Village and told the adults the news.

"Could it be those people...? A crisis is coming." The clan leader coughed, put his hand to his chest, and thought of what happened back then. A group of brothers went out to explore together, but only he escaped alive.

"Grandpa Chief, who are they, and what are they here for?" the little one asked.

"A terrible group of people have come here... in search of a supreme divine treasure." The old man sighed, his face filled with worry as he gazed at the distant land.

There is a legend on this land that a supreme being once left his legacy here and was buried in an ancient cave, where his lineage was recorded.

Countless people throughout history have come to search for it but have returned empty-handed. But one day, a thunderbolt descended from the heavens, shattering a mountain range and revealing a corner of the cave.

"We are both lucky and unlucky." Chief Shi Yunfeng's eyes were filled with sorrow and vicissitudes. All his good brothers from back then were dead, and he was the only one who survived. He had endless pain in his heart.

"We joined a sect and practiced bone script together. For a boy from a village, I was considered to have good aptitude and reached the Cave Heaven Realm. When the lightning from the heavens descended, I happened to be on a trial with a group of brothers and saw that cave dwelling."

And so the disaster began. They unearthed many bone books, but they could not break through the true entrance to the cave and could not enter the core area.

The news leaked out, and they faced relentless pursuit, with various factions vying for the bone books.

"They didn't know that although this part of the bone book was very precious, it was not the true inheritance of that cave. We were chased all the way to the depths of the Great Wilderness, with nowhere to go but to the heavens and nowhere to the earth."

Shi Yunfeng was desolate. One by one, his good brothers died. After going through all kinds of hardships, only he and one other person escaped and survived.

When they went to search for the ruins afterward, they found that everything had changed, as if ten thousand years had passed, and nothing existed anymore.

"It must be the mysterious power of the bone inscriptions that caused that sacred treasure to sink into the earth and drift far away, its whereabouts unknown to anyone," the clan chief sighed.

Even so, they were later subjected to relentless pursuit. A group of ferocious bandits appeared, incredibly powerful, with a sacrificial spirit accompanying them, forcing them into a long and arduous escape. (End of Chapter)
