From then on, Ananda was sealed by the Buddha, and the Primordial Heavenly Venerable reinforced the seal with the Three Treasures Jade Ruyi. It was not until the final tribulation, when the environment of heaven and earth changed and the seal loosened, that the demon Buddha Ananda had a chance to escape.

The Buddha's strength seems to be not that great, as his attack did not instantly kill the nascent Dao Fruit. The gap between the pseudo-Dao Fruit and the Other Shore seems to be far less than that between the pseudo-Other Shore and the Creation.

However, Lin Yang knew that the Demon Buddha was not dead, not because the Buddha was not strong, but because the Buddha was... good.

Yes, because of goodness.

Since the Buddha was enlightened by Dipankara and entered the Buddhist order, he never committed any killing in his life.

Even though his former second disciple Ananda betrayed him, causing the extinction of all Buddhas on Mount Ling, the Buddha only suppressed him and did not kill him.

Another possibility for Ananda's escape is that the Buddha couldn't bear to suppress Ananda until the end of the era, so he weakened the seal as the final calamity approached, giving Ananda a glimmer of hope.

Buddhism has the means to subdue demons and monsters with wrathful expressions, but the Buddha himself did not. This seems very unreasonable, but that is the reality.

Even the ultimate technique He created, the Tathagata Palm, is based on the light of one's true nature, rather than focusing on killing and destroying souls.

"If someone from another world like me wants to achieve emptiness through reduction, I'm afraid I'll need the help of the Queen Mother."

However, it is well known that He wanted to eliminate 'Su Meng', but how He could attain enlightenment without making the product of reduction and emptiness is another question, but He obviously did not reveal his inner thoughts.

Shortly after this appearance, as the world drew ever closer to destruction, He retreated into the Nine Netherworlds. This time, He was not hindered and refined most of the Nine Netherworlds. By taking advantage of the influence of the final calamity, He recovered to the rudimentary form of the Dao Fruit.

As for why Su Meng didn't stop him, it was naturally because he had a fight with the Golden Emperor over some disputes, and the Demon Buddha Ananda seized this opportunity.

As the Demon Buddha Ananda grew stronger, Su Meng, who was one with Him to some extent, was naturally affected and weakened. Yuanshi Tianzun was one step further away from transcendence.

Just then, Yuanshi Yuanzun came to feed his successor again. Although he would no longer interfere with the myriad realms, he used the hand of the Moral Heavenly Venerable, the "foundation of existence," to hand over the golden body of the Holy Buddha to Su Meng.

The Holy Buddha Golden Body was created by the Primordial Celestial Venerable as a Buddhist incarnation of the Other Shore level in order to explore the path ahead. Now that it has been handed over to 'Su Meng', it is naturally to let 'Su Meng' refine this Golden Body with the One Qi Transforms into Three Pure Ones technique.

Is Su Meng now burdened with a debt of gratitude because of that ungrateful act? It doesn't matter, the Primordial Celestial Venerable has prepared enough to help him reach the rudimentary stage of the Dao Fruit.

As the first being born on the other shore and the first being to create the world, Yuanshi Tianzun's accumulated knowledge far exceeded the imagination of those who came to be on the other shore. This time, it was the Golden Emperor who initiated the conflict. In order to avoid being antagonized by the other shore beings, he deliberately found a pretext to set up the Immortal Slaughtering Sword Formation and fought against Amitabha Buddha and others.

After this battle, it was as if the events of the Investiture of the Gods era had been reenacted. The Immortal Slaughtering Sword Formation was dismantled, and the several beings from the other shore who had 'descended' either took away a certain killing sword or the Immortal Slaughtering Formation diagram.

Without the Immortal Slaughtering Sword Formation, a powerful weapon perfectly suited to the end times, the Golden Emperor's threat level in the eyes of the other shore beings dropped sharply. Although he was a nascent Dao Fruit, he only possessed the Heavenly Slaughtering Axe, making him much inferior in terms of external resources.

Having severed some karmic ties in the mortal realm and fulfilled the wishes of many acquaintances, Lin Yang focused his energy on the past for a period of time, returning to the Jade Void Palace during the Investiture of the Gods era with the intention of meeting the 'True Primordial Celestial Venerable'.
