Chapter 1605, Second Wave
Chapter 1605 Two Groups
Han Li's plan for today is to have breakfast and then find a professional to register two companies in New York.
These two companies are still registered under the names of several companies in the Kman Islands, which gives Han Li and the companies an extra layer of cover and makes it easier for him to carry out some operations in the United States.
However, when Han Li went downstairs to the hotel restaurant and was having a meal, two new guests sat down at the next table to his right.
Restaurants are places for people to eat, even if only guests of the Plaza Hotel can dine there, so it's perfectly normal for this kind of thing to happen.
According to relevant information, the breakfast restaurant at the Plaza Hotel in this era is not open to the public.
Therefore, Han Li didn't even glance over there, focusing instead on the large, barely edible smoked salmon and egg sandwich in front of him.
However, not everyone who comes here to dine is like Han Li.
Some of these people genuinely don't care who's around them. If no one else is ordering or eating, they won't even bother to give anyone a second glance.
Some people will glance at the restaurant's customers to see if there are any familiar faces they know or who they need to build relationships with.
Some people will discreetly and carefully observe the restaurant's guests. Since the Plaza Hotel's breakfast restaurant is not open to the public, it can be said that those who can dine here at this time are either rich or powerful. So even if they don't know anyone, they try to remember these faces to avoid unknowingly offending a wealthy patron in the future.
So, although Han Li didn't see who the guests at the next table were, she couldn't help but see him as soon as she entered. If she didn't have her sugar daddy with her, she would definitely have sat directly opposite Han Li instead of sitting on the right side next to him like she is now.
This person is Sigourney Weaver, the alien queen whom Han Li met at a banquet at Joseph Manor, who claimed to have British royal blood, when he was first sent by his mentor to conduct research during his studies in England.
Han Li had long forgotten about the alien queen who was only slightly shorter than him, and he had forgotten the brutal and forceful process by which he subdued this alien creature.
But Sigourney Weaver never forgot Han Li, the man who had once made her ramble on, sweat profusely, and exhausted.
Although the two did not go inside during that conversation, and the space was limited to the lawn, swings, and benches, it was the most heartfelt and unforgettable experience Sigourney Weaver had ever had.
Sigourney Weaver had just ordered her food when she made an excuse to go to the restroom. There, she used lipstick to write her name, phone number, address, and her recent Broadway play schedule on a piece of paper.
When Sigourney Weaver returned to the restaurant, she blocked her patron's view with her body before sitting down and quietly tossed a neatly folded note in front of Han Li.
Just then, Han Li was about to finish eating when he noticed a note that had suddenly appeared on his table. He glanced at it out of the corner of his eye and saw Sigourney Weaver. He then quietly put the note away.
After Han Li finished eating and left the restaurant, he opened the note and glanced at it before discreetly storing it in his decomposition space.
As for whether or not to make a phone call or arrange a meeting with this alien queen, that depends on Han Li's mood.
Han Li had just stepped out of the Plaza Hotel when Maeve Lawson, the little girl he had met the night before, ran over from a distance.
"Sir, sir."
Han Li saw that it was this little girl. Although he didn't know why she had found this place, to prevent her from revealing in front of so many people that her offspring had died the previous night, he waved to her and led her to a secluded spot. After the two of them stood still, before Han Li could speak, the little girl named Maeve Lawson spoke first.
"Sir, I didn't notice at first last night. By the time I realized the bill was fifty dollars, you were already gone."
It's not right for me to take so much money from you for no reason, so I wanted to return it to you. So I started looking in the direction you left. When I saw you, you had already entered the Plaza Hotel.
This is not a place I can go into; I can only wait for you here early today.
After Maeve Lawson finished speaking, she took out a fifty-dollar bill from her bag and handed it over. Han Li looked at the bill and the little girl in front of him.
Han Li thought about what she had said last night, and now he didn't believe her at all that she was going to return the money to him.
However, considering all these circumstances, Han Li quickly guessed Maeve Lawson's thoughts, but he still needed to observe the matter further, so he spoke up.
"You can see I live here, so you should know that this amount of money is nothing to me. So please accept it. I have other things to do. We'll see each other again next time."
After Han Li finished speaking, he turned to leave. Maeve Lawson, having experienced family changes, thought more than her peers. Otherwise, she wouldn't have secretly sold things in Central Park to save money and prepare for her life after leaving her foster family.
Maeve Lawson made this decision last night after careful consideration: she came here early this morning to wait for Han Li.
If one could easily solve the difficulties they would face in the future, who would be willing to endure the wind and sun every day, risking harassment from park management personnel and thugs, to save money little by little?
Moreover, Maeve Lawson originally lived a carefree life, and the year or so of foster care has changed her a lot.
Furthermore, neither Maeve Lawson's original family nor her current foster family are the kind of people who are devoted to the church.
Most importantly, in an environment where pretty girls have boyfriends in fifth or sixth grade, "that kind of thing" is commonplace. If it weren't for the changes in her family, she might already have a boyfriend.
These were the main reasons that prompted Maeve Lawson to make this decision. She originally intended to use the fifty dollars to leave a good impression on Han Li and then steer the conversation back to a certain topic from last night.
However, Maeve Lawson was too young and had no idea what it meant to play hard to get or to wait for someone to catch a big fish.
So when Han Li finished speaking and turned to leave, Maeve Lawson panicked immediately.
She didn't know why things had turned out this way, but she knew that if she missed this opportunity, she wouldn't have a proper reason to come back next time. So, she reached out and grabbed Han Li's arm while quickly revealing her true purpose for coming.
"Sir, I agree with you about not wearing safety devices during 'that' time."
