Chapter 1874 Eternal Life
A year has passed, a decade has passed, a century has passed.
A thousand years have passed, ten thousand years have passed, a hundred million years have passed.
Twelve years have passed, the capital year has passed, the vast year has passed.
Zheng Zha looked at the future not far away, and then punched his own true spirit.

A large number of true spirits shattered and were expelled from Zheng Zha's body, transforming into indescribably terrifying substances. But Zheng Zha didn't even glance at them, simply waiting quietly for the true spirits to heal themselves.

With the activation of his Undying True Spirit, Zheng Zha's True Spirit was restored to its original state.

Then, an immeasurable eon passed, ten immeasurable eons passed, a hundred immeasurable eons passed.
He finally came to Zheng Zha and gently touched Zheng Zha's forehead.

Zheng Zha's eyes instantly became incredibly clear, but his next action was like that of an ordinary person who had finally come into contact with air after suffocating, breathing heavily, even though there was no air for him to breathe in the Void Sea, and he didn't need to breathe at all.

Seeing Zheng Zha's expression, he asked with a smile, "Guess how much time has passed?"

"I...I don't know," Zheng Zha said with a wry smile after recovering. "Is this the terror of immortality?"

“Immortality is not terrifying at all; what is terrifying is immortality without the right to it. That is called being unworthy of one’s position. You already have one foot in the door of immortality, but you are still far from true transcendence.” He continued, “You are already quite good. After all, there are only two and a half people who have transcended in the entire Void Sea. Using the Ship of Theseus to alleviate your negative accumulation is actually similar to the method of suicide for transcendence.”

"Can humanity be considered a Ship of Theseus? No, absolutely not. Although human cells also age, get sick, and die, and as long as we live, the human body is constantly undergoing metabolism, humanity is not a Ship of Theseus. The metabolism of the physical body is merely a change from a macroscopic perspective. Humans also have souls, and within the soul lies the True Spirit, which serves the function of information transmission. As long as information transmission and continuity exist, humanity remains the same humanity. However, it is precisely because of the existence of information transmission by the True Spirit that the True Spirit continuously accumulates negativity, eventually collapsing because it cannot bear the negativity."

"Old cells die and new cells take over; this is the most basic reversal of entropy in the physical body. But entropy continues to increase, so intelligent beings begin to study the path of the extraordinary, the path of technology, and further reverse entropy through various means."

"Thus, the process of refining essence into qi emerged, cell repair technology appeared, and various methods for extending the lifespan of mortals began to appear. But after the physical body comes the soul, and if the soul reaches its entropy limit, it will also die. So the process of refining qi into spirit began. The light of the mind, using the light of the mind to reverse the entropy increase of the soul, is the most common method. In addition, there is also the spiritual particle project on the technological side."

"But after the soul, there is the true spirit. This is a problem that cannot be solved without transcendence. The true spirit has a limit to its capacity. When entropy increases to a certain limit, it will experience great heat death. Transcendence can only slow down the arrival of great heat death, but it cannot reverse entropy at the level of the true spirit."

"So at this point, we need some other means to help you solve this problem. I know of one way to transcend, and that method is suicide. When entropy increases to a critical point, a new low-entropy personality is created, and the new personality kills the old personality. This personality kills the previous personality, and the previous personality kills the personality before that. Finally, the personality that condenses the absolute true spirit transcends, but is it still itself?" Zheng Zha was already a bit overwhelmed by what he heard. The questions and answers thrown out in one breath contained far too much information, triggering all sorts of associations in Zheng Zha. After personally experiencing eternity, Zheng Zha's vision was broadened once again, and he had more thoughts on the immortality and negative aspects of the true spirit. But that's where the problem lies. He hadn't fully digested his original accumulation of knowledge yet, and a whole bunch of information was being thrown at him in a flurry, leaving Zheng Zha completely confused.

He smiled and said, "Don't be too surprised. For that transcendent being, this method is nothing. It is not a normal intellectual being, or rather, it was never a being in the first place. Its understanding of personality and humanity is completely different from that of an intellectual being, and it doesn't care about those things at all."

"Your immortality of true spirit can only be seen as a means to slow down the rate of entropy increase. However, this means is very effective. Even in the entire Void Sea, there are few better means of slowing down the rate of entropy increase than your immortality of true spirit. But you have also noticed the problem with the immortality of true spirit, haven't you?"

"Well, regarding information transmission, if I want to preserve [humanity], I must preserve information. However, information itself brings negative effects. I can expel the negative from my true spirit, but the original information still exists, while new information continues to increase. In the end, the more information occupies the share of my true spirit, the more negative effects I need to expel, and the more true spirit I need to use to expel them. In the end, I have to choose between preserving humanity and reducing pressure. Although, in my current state, the accumulation of negative effects over an immeasurable eon should not be enough to make me use the means of immortality of my true spirit. Well, I am confident that I can live for sixty immeasurable eons."

At this point, Zheng Zha suddenly asked, "I remember that taking the path of refining the void to become an inner universe will cause great damage to one's [humanity], and there is a very high probability of becoming a [multiverse pan-consciousness], which is something called [invincible state]. This is because it requires breaking the Great Luo Golden Nature into pieces, then refining it again, and then piecing it back together. In this process, a large amount of [humanity] is lost. However, this situation doesn't seem to have occurred in the world. Is it a privilege of the direct descendant of the multiverse?"

I never answered that question. Refining the void, breaking through the void, and entering the void are all ultimate means of proving the Dao. For me, there are just too many ultimates, more than the multiverse in the void sea.

He was more concerned about Zheng Zha's true spirit: "I have said before that your immortal true spirit has no power to resist a true transcendent being, but it is more than enough to deal with those below the transcendent level."

To view Zheng Zha's immortal true spirit from a holistic perspective is still too naive. He doesn't even need to completely destroy Zheng Zha's true spirit. As long as Zheng Zha is trapped in an eternal time loop, under the torment of countless immeasurable eons, Zheng Zha's true spirit will not be destroyed, but it will be twisted into an existence more terrifying than a multiverse behemoth.

Therefore, the first piece of advice given to Zheng Zha was to give up on the restoration of his will.
