Zhenguan Chang'an Xiaofangzheng

Chapter 293 The 7th Year of Zhenguan, the Donkey of Guizhou

Chapter 293 The 17th Year of Zhenguan, the Donkey of Guizhou

Frost.

It was just past the first day, and it was supposed to be in peace, but Fan Zheng was wearing normal clothes, sticking his butt out in the wheat field to observe the growth of the wheat seedlings.

Wo Long didn't dare to hide it from Fan Zheng, and told him about his predicament. Fan Zheng directly supervised the withered grass from the east of the Jingyuan to burn, and additionally brought some charcoal powder from the Beast Charcoal Workshop in Dunhua Fang, just in case.

Wo Long scratched his head, just wanted to flatter him, why did he become like this?

Fan Zheng didn't mean to blame Wo Long, after all, he had good intentions, if you blame him, who can get close to you in the future?
Those who say "Gong Sheng Ming, Lian Sheng Wei" just shout slogans, don't take everything seriously.

Fairness and honesty are of course necessary, but within a certain range, if you don’t take care of those close to you, aren’t you asking for alienation?
To put it bluntly, if Wo Long and Feng Chu's grades and abilities are comparable, Fan Zheng will definitely consider Wo Long first when promoting.

For those who consider Feng Chu, it's fair to say, will someone be willing to work for you in the future?
Within the scale of justice, taking care of those who are willing to get closer to oneself is the correct way to open the officialdom.

"Director, my officer..."

Wo Long felt like a stick in his throat, but he didn't know what to say.

He had also heard about Qiu Shenji's impeachment, and asked himself, if it were him, he would have already shirked the responsibility of selling straw.

Even if Fan Zheng pushed him out at that time, he had nothing to say, after all, he really didn't ask for Fan Zheng's opinion at that time.

But Fan Zheng refused to give an inch, blocked everything by himself, paid a carload of straw money of three Wen, and forcibly blocked Qiu Shenji back.

What can I ask for if I get this Shangguan!
Fan Zheng smiled: "In any case, you are doing things for me. Even if you make a mistake, you will be dealt with by me. Don't think about what is there and what is not. Take care of this land. You have credit and I have face."

Wo Long hesitantly said, "Shangguan... I'm afraid this bit of weeds and charcoal is not enough."

Fan Zheng raised his eyebrows: "Didn't it say that if the frost falls today, it will be gone tomorrow?"

"Shangguan, Feng Chu is proficient in calendar and climate, but so far he is on an equal footing with Xiaguan, because he is used to speaking only halfway." Wo Long explained helplessly. "He was talking about the cold spring, but he didn't say when it would be cold, nor how many times it happened!"

Fan Zheng was speechless.

Talking half of it is more hateful than not saying it. He deserves that he will not be able to be a sixth-rank in his life.

"I will send someone to send animal charcoal."
-
190 miles south of Chang'an, Qianzhou Xiadu Dudu's Mansion, Pengshui County, the seat of Qianzhou, has a mountain named Yushan.

Yushan does not produce jade, but produces salt. It is famous for the Pu people (Miao people) who discovered the salt spring of Funiu Mountain flowing on the surface of Yushan.

During the Jingtai period of the Ming Dynasty, Yushan was renamed Yushan due to avoiding taboos.

Pengshui County is surrounded by mountains, with high mountains and steep slopes, fast-flowing water, and not much flat land. It raises cattle, sheep, pigs, and chickens, but not donkeys. So later Liu Zongyuan wrote "Donkeys in Guizhou", "There are no donkeys in Guizhou." "This sentence is realistic.

Li Chengqian, a swaying common man, was riding on the back of a donkey with a haggard face.

It is a miracle that a patient with a wind disease travels three thousand miles and tosses back and forth in carts, boats, and donkeys to survive.

The roads are narrow and the slopes are steep, the donkey carts have to be abandoned, and the donkeys have been abandoned, so they can only eat donkey meat soup every day.

Li Chengqian, who was jolting on the donkey's back until he felt nauseous, finally realized how unrealistic it was for him to "fly the horse".

Coming out of Chang'an, Li Chengqian didn't say a word, even keeping a distance from Su Shi, Li Jue, and Li Xiang.

Winner and loser, Li Chengqian is not wronged in this situation, but he is pitiful for Li Jue and Li Xiang, who followed him to the corner of the mountain to suffer at a young age.

Mrs. Su was not surprised by favor or disgrace, and when she rested every day, she still took out the books she carried with her to teach Li Jue and Li Xiang how to read, which fully demonstrated the martial arts of Mrs. Su's good upbringing.

At the foot of Yushan Mountain, the house is not spacious, straight to the point, and the guards guard the family all day long.

In fact, it's not necessary at all, as long as Li Chengqian draws circles first when he walks, no matter what he does, he will not be able to get out of the mountains of Pengshui County, but he may fall into the river.

For unknown reasons, after entering the residential compound, Li Chengqian's few surviving donkeys died one after another, which made it easier for him to digest the donkey meat.

Even if he is demoted to a commoner, it is impossible for Li Chengqian to carry the plow to plow the fields. All the daily needs will be borne by the Qianzhou Governor's Mansion, and there will be someone to take care of him, but the grade will be lowered.

Therefore, don't cry while watching the play, worrying about the ancients, no matter how difficult they are, they are better than most others.

Of course, the psychological gap must be huge. Li Chengqian looked at the distant hills every day, and his eyes fell on a hillside.

"Prince, what is the meaning of this?" Ma Da, the leader of the guards and the commander of the army, looked puzzled.

Ma Da and other 18 people were responsible for escorting and guarding Li Chengqian, and most of them had the intention of guarding against thieves.

No matter how much Li Chengqian was demoted to a commoner, there were still many golden and jade weapons.

Of course, the Su family carried more books.

Ma Da has a ferocious face, but his heart is not bad, not to mention Li Chengqian's identity is not something he can afford.

As a matter of fact, Ma Da felt quite uneasy in his heart. The task of detaining the crown prince was neither light nor heavy. He could only be respectful and respectful every day, just like serving the crown prince in Chang'an.

A prince suspected of rebellion can still leave Chang'an alive, which naturally shows that he has a lot of weight in the heart of Emperor Zhenguan.

Not to mention returning to the East Palace, even if he was re-appointed as king, it would be enough to crush to death some people who disrespected him.

Li Chengqian slurred his speech: "This place has excellent geomantic omen, I should bury it here."

Ma Da suddenly felt that the hairs all over his body stood on end.

"Prince, please think more about the two grandsons!"

Li Chengqian actually wanted to kill him, can these guards escape the relationship?

Li Chengqian's smile was slightly distorted: "I have been wronged all the way. It's just that Li Chengqian's life is not long. After death, he will be buried with troubles and his back to Chang'an."

When others died, they had to face their hometown. Li Chengqian specifically told him to turn his back to Chang'an, which meant that he refused to bow his head even in death.

What frightened Ma Da was that three days later, even though there were doctors of medicine from Qianzhou Dudufu and local doctors from Qianzhou, Li Chengqian still passed away, but his fingers stubbornly pointed to the south.

After Ma Da told Su about Li Chengqian's last words, there were no tears in Su's eyes, and he asked Qianzhou Governor's Mansion to bury Li Chengqian in Yushan, facing south.

Taking advantage of the funeral, Ma Da fled to the northwest in a hurry, entered Fengdu County, Zhongzhou, Shannan Province, and hid in the karst cave of Yulong Tiankeng.

Because of the ferocious face of Ma Da, it can stop children from crying at night, so adults often use Ma Da to frighten children to sleep.

Later, the place where Ma Da bathed was named Ma Da Cave, and the local people even built a Ma Da Temple for Ma Da. In later generations, this place was named Dudu Township because of Ma Da's former official position.

The news was sent back to Chang'an, and Li Shimin stopped court for three days and was buried with the ceremony of the Duke.

When Li Chengqian's grandson and Li Xiang's son Li Shizhi were prime ministers, he requested that his grandfather and father be buried in Zhaoling, leaving only a tomb in Yushan.

Li Shizhi's drunkard is the Eight Immortals in Wine who are as famous as Li Bai. Du Fu wrote in "The Song of the Eight Immortals in Drinking": "The left minister is spending tens of thousands of dollars every day, drinking like a long whale and sucking hundreds of rivers, and the sage of holding a cup of music is called avoiding the sages."

("Old Tang Book" records that Li Chengqian died in December and 18 years of the 19th year.)
