Emperor Zhang of the Han Dynasty and Emperor Hanhe successively recruited him as Taifu and Jixianhou, all of whom resigned.

After that, Zhang Daoling began to travel to famous mountains and rivers, visiting Taoism and seeking immortality.

First, he traveled south to the Huaihe River and lived in Tongbai Taiping Mountain. Later, he crossed the south of the Yangtze River with his disciples Wang Chang and Zhao Sheng and went down to Yunjin Mountain in Guixi County, Jiangxi Province.

Yunjin Mountain has beautiful mountains, clear waters and quiet scenery. It was the habitat of ancient immortals. Zhang Daoling lived in a hut on the mountain and built an altar to practice alchemy.

It is said that three years later, the magic pill was completed, and the dragon and tiger appeared, so the mountain is also called Longhu Mountain.At that time, Zhang Daoling was 60 years old. He heard that the folk customs in central Sichuan were pure and kind and could be easily educated, so he moved to Heming Mountain in Sichuan.

According to legend, on the 142th day of the first month of the first year of Han'an ([-]), Emperor Shun of the Han Dynasty, the Taishang Laojun came to Shu and taught Zhang Daoling "the way of Zhengyimengwei", and asked him to sweep away demons and save the people.Zhang Daoling thus established Taoism, respecting Lao Tzu as the patriarch, and taking "Tao" as the highest belief.

In the second year of Yongshou (156), he passed away at the age of 123.

In the seventh year of Tianbao (748) of Emperor Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty, Zhang Daoling was given the title of "Taishi" because of Lao Tzu's old book.In the fourth year of Xizong Zhonghe (884), he was named "Three-day Fujiao Master".

In the second year of Song Huizong's Daguan (1108), the book was presented as "Zhengyijing Yingzhenjun", and Lizong added the title of "Three-day Fujia Fuyuan Great Master, Zhengyijing Yingxianyou Zhenjun".

Yuan Chengzong added the title of "Zheng Yi Chong Xuan Shen Hua Jing Ying Xian You Zhenjun".Emperor Chongzhen of the Ming Dynasty added "Liuhe Infinitely Brilliant God" as a gift.

The Zhengyi faction is called Zu Tianshi, Taixuan Shangxiang, and the great sage who subdues demons and protects Taoism.

Laozi created Taoism, and Zhang Daoling created Taoism.

And the gathering of three flowers at the top and the five qi towards the Yuan are the signs of the completion of refining and transforming qi.

Three flowers are "essence", "qi" and "shen". The "five qi" are the heart, liver, spleen, lung, kidney, or another code name for the five elements, that is, gold, wood, water, fire, and earth.

Three Flowers Gathering at the Top means that when the eight meridians are unblocked, the feeling of forgetting the body is gradually achieved, and the whole body is soft and soft like a baby, very comfortable and appropriate, as if alive.

After that, refining qi to transform gods, refining gods to return emptiness, and refining emptiness to unite the Tao, are all ways for people to gradually return to the innate nature, communicate with the great source, until the unity of heaven and man, until the root of unification, that is, the stage of unifying the "Tao".

They have a more systematic, bottom-up approach. Of course, this approach has a threshold, and not everyone can make it to the end.

In the professional terminology of Taoism, there is a concept of "sex and life".

Xing refers to the inner Tao of a person, such as mind, thought, disposition, character, spirit, etc.Life refers to the external Tao of human beings, such as body, life, energy, destiny, matter, etc.

Taoism, on the other hand, pays attention to the dual cultivation of life and soul, which means "cultivating both spirit and form" and comprehensive cultivation of mind and body.

But whether it is the Western magic system or Buddhism, in fact, they only cultivate "sex", that is, spiritual power.

These are, in fact, ways to the root.

But it is undeniable that if you want to get something, you have to give up something, and the dual cultivation of life and life is also the most difficult.
