A day at Hogwarts.
Chapter 539 Let’s do a physical examination
Chapter 539 Let’s do a physical examination
The smell of stewed beef with potatoes filled the principal's office. Dumbledore came back with a bucket of instant noodles and prepared to use the hot water here. He immediately swallowed subconsciously.
Charles sat on the floor with a few playing cards in his hand. The other cards were divided into two parts and floated in front of the Sorting Hat and the portrait of a former headmaster. Two phoenixes helped them deal the cards.
Dumbledore couldn't help asking, "Charles, what happened today?"
He came back too early for Jack to talk to him.
Charles said without hesitation: "This was arranged by Grindelwald."
Dumbledore sat down in his chair, put the instant noodles next to him, looked at the large plate of beef stew with potatoes in front of him and asked, "Can you tell me more about it?"
Charles put the cards away and said, "People make mistakes when they step into a field they have never been in before, and the same is true for you, professor."
"It's just that this time the mistake had a huge impact and made everyone very angry."
Charles was also depressed. After Aberforth learned the truth, he blamed himself for a long time and blamed himself for giving bad advice.
The person who was most frightened in this blunder was Aberforth. He forced himself to smile and reminisce about his childhood with his brother those few nights. Dobby, who went out for a drink after get off work, said that he sat there in a daze and cried when no one was in the bar.
If Dumbledore had died suddenly, it would have been like being stabbed. But now the situation was like being tortured to death, and no one knew when it would end. It was even more painful.
However, Dumbledore did not realize the problem yet and asked in confusion: "What did I do wrong?"
Charles was speechless and could only say, "Aberforth thinks you are dying."
Dumbledore was obviously stunned for a moment, and asked with increasing confusion: "Why does he think so?"
Charles told the whole story.
This time Dumbledore was really stunned. He didn't expect that Aberforth, McGonagall and others would interpret his behavior in this way.
"I thought……"
He couldn't go on. He now completely understood what Charles had said that night. Even his own brother and his best friend of decades couldn't understand him, let alone other people?
This made him feel frustrated.
As Dumbledore finished his beef stew with potatoes, his communication notebook began to buzz with a message.
Fudge sent a message, cautiously asking if Dumbledore was in good health.
Dumbledore thought about it and wrote back to invite him to have a drink at the Hog's Head Inn.
By this time, Charles had already left the principal's office and strolled out of the castle before the curfew.
As the weather gradually warmed up, many plants in the garden sprouted new buds, glowing slightly, attracting many students.
A few students recognized Charles, greeted him, and then went their separate ways.
Fred and George sneaked away from everyone and walked towards the Forbidden Forest, disappearing into it in a short while.
Charles saw that everyone in the garden was in pairs, so he didn't go over there. Instead, he came to Greenhouse No. 2 where experiments were being done to see the plants that were undergoing comparative experiments.
The greenhouse was quiet, with the lights on. A thick layer of cloth covered the outside to keep the temperature high, and not a single light could come through.
He walked around here and saw that there was no problem, so he took the latest data back to the dormitory.
Charles entered the dormitory first, and Harry followed him in.
Harry asked uncertainly, "Charles, are you worried about something? You looked a little scary just now."
He just saw Charles looked a little strange when he greeted everyone, so he came over to ask.
Charles didn't realize that his subconscious expression just now was a little serious.
"Nothing," he said, "Just thinking about something."
Harry sat down on the edge of his bed and asked, "What's the matter?" Charles said casually, "To cure your myopia."
Seeing that he didn't want to continue this topic, Harry could only change the subject: "I think Professor Dumbledore was acting strangely at dinner today. Do you know what's going on?"
Now that Dumbledore knew where he was wrong, he had probably already gone to have a friendly conversation with his brother, so Charles told him the whole story in general.
"Is that so?!" This was a possibility Harry had never thought of. "No wonder the professors are angry. Everyone really thinks Professor Dumbledore is losing weight."
Charles' eyes suddenly narrowed slightly, and he said thoughtfully: "You know what, the professor eats so many sweets every day, he should have a physical examination."
Harry nodded and said, "Yeah, and we should go get our teeth checked by Mr. Granger."
Charles was just thinking about how to guide him in this direction. Since he brought it up himself, he said, "I'm worried that the examination at St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Arts isn't comprehensive enough. Why don't we have him go to a Muggle hospital for a checkup, such as a blood test or something."
"He eats so many sweets, I'm worried that his blood pressure, blood lipids and blood sugar may not be low, which is very dangerous for the elderly."
Then he spent half an hour explaining to Harry the harm of the three highs to the elderly, and also told Jack that he had a physical examination every year.
Jack was reluctant to go for a physical examination at first, but Charles persuaded him that all Muggle elders would go for a physical examination and he would be suspected if he didn't go.
Harry thought that made sense, but said worriedly, "I'm afraid Professor Dumbledore wouldn't want to go to a Muggle hospital."
Charles was very happy to see him being so sensible, so he said, "Why don't you go with him and give him some advice. His health is the most important thing."
"I'm worried that he's afraid of blood tests and electrocardiograms, so you should do a physical examination as well to show him how."
Harry said with a bitter face: "I am afraid of having blood drawn too."
Charles said immediately, "You're not afraid of falling off a broomstick, so why are you afraid of having your blood drawn?"
Harry muttered quietly, "How can that be the same?"
But he still said: "For the sake of Professor Dumbledore's health, I think I can give him a demonstration."
Charles was relieved to see that the fish had taken the bait, so he said, "Then I'll talk to Grandpa and ask him to find a suitable hospital. Some doctors in these hospitals have more experience in the health of the elderly. Let's find a suitable hospital after the next game, which happens to be the Easter holiday."
"After the next Transfiguration class, talk to Professor McGonagall about this and ask her to persuade Professor Dumbledore."
Harry nodded and said, "Okay, let's do it."
He thought that Professor McGonagall would definitely agree to let Dumbledore have a full physical examination.
After Harry left, Charles curled his lips slightly, and the next thing would be easy.
Charles then took out his communication notebook and sent a lot of messages to the old man.
At number 3 Privet Drive, Jack was drinking and chatting with Grindelwald.
Jack's communication notebook came to mind and he immediately took it out to have a look.
Grindelwald was about to jokingly ask if it was a message from Magg, but when he saw his brows slightly frowned, he thought there might be a problem.
After reading it, Jack replied with two sentences, then raised his head and said to Grindelwald, "Charles thinks that Albus should be given a comprehensive physical examination."
Grindelwald suddenly became nervous. If it were someone else, he might not care, but that was what Charles said. I wonder if he saw that there was something wrong with Dumbledore.
Jack continued, "I don't know much about wizard treatment, but in Muggle medicine, if someone of Albus' age eats sweets frequently, it can be very dangerous for the body."
He stood up and took out a lot of advertisements that he had received in the past and showed them to Grindelwald.
As the saying goes, "over-concern leads to confusion." Grindelwald was frightened by the exaggerated advertisement and felt that Albus should indeed undergo a comprehensive physical examination.
