Chapter 559 The Fairy's Battle

Charles walked alone on a secluded path outside Hogsmeade Village. The night sky was dark, there was no moon, and the sparse starlight barely outlined the road and the blurry contours of the bushes on both sides.

The gravel under his feet made a slight crunching sound under his boots, and all around was silent except for the faint sound of the wind.

The footsteps disappeared.

Charles stopped, raised his hand to adjust his glasses, and keenly caught the extremely faint sound of metal scraping against the ground coming from behind and to both sides.

Fourteen pairs of eyes emitting a dark red light appeared in the night, and fairies silently emerged from the darkness on both sides of the road, surrounding him.

Closest to Charles were five fairies wearing berets, each holding a sword in one hand, the blades occasionally flashing with a dark red light.

Their steps were steady and their movements were synchronized, forming a tight encirclement that completely blocked all possible escape routes for Charles.

The cold armor occasionally reflected a chilling glint in the faint starlight, and the eyes beneath the helmet gleamed with an inhuman, cruel red light in the darkness, fixed intently on Charles. There were no words, only the heavy feeling of weapons poised to be drawn and the subtle metallic clanging of the armor as it moved.

Malajak paused with the hammer in his hand, and said in the tone of a receptionist at Gringotts, "Mr. Smith, on behalf of Gringotts, I would like to invite you to be my guest."

Although he tried to suppress it, his words revealed a coldness and an unyielding attitude.

Something long and faintly reflected a silvery light slipped out of Charles's right sleeve.

The fairies were astonished; it wasn't a magic wand, but a cold saber.

Weapons made by fairies.

They quickly recognized the origin of the saber in Charles's hand.

“I don’t like killing.” Charles’s voice was as cold as liquid helium. “If you leave now, I can pretend nothing happened.”

As the green flames lit up behind them, there was no room for maneuver for either side, but they still had to exchange pleasantries.

Malajak raised his hammer, saying with regret and cruelty, "We can only warmly invite you to Gringotts."

These were his last words.

Three beret-wearing fairies wielding twin swords pounced on Charles from the left, right, and rear at top speed. A cloaked fairy's hands glowed red as she prepared to cast a spell, while a fairy with a crossbow in the distance was ready to block his escape route.

A flash of silver light streaked across the gap between the helmet and armor, and Malajak's head detached from his body, his eyes not even having time to show surprise.

Without the sight or sound of an Apparition user shrinking into a ball, Charles appeared instantly behind Malajak without warning. No goblins could react in time, and even Gronk's crystal ball lost track of its target.

Charles used the teleportation technique he learned from stick figure paintings, instantly reaching any place his gaze could see. After slashing the knife, the saber with the magic wand inserted inside was swung up again.

The fairies, panicked by the killing of Malajak, suddenly collapsed en masse, their bodies seemingly weighed down by the Benning Mountains, pressed to the ground by gravity and unable to move, all their attacks rendered futile.

Charles strolled over to the goblin and, with a series of swift strokes, chopped off all the heads on the ground in a short time.

Gronook felt as if he had fallen into an ice cave, every cell in his body trembling, as if a giant hand was gripping his throat, watching helplessly as Charles chopped off the goblin's head as if picking a pumpkin from a field.

Finally, Charles looked up at the night sky and met Gronook's eyes once again in the Pig's Head pub.

After emitting a golden light, the crystal ball turned into dust, which spread out on the table like a small mountain.

This small hill, like the Gran Flat Mountain Range, weighed heavily on Gronouk's heart, making it hard for him to breathe.

He was thinking about getting to the scene and notifying everyone to stop and retreat immediately, but his legs wouldn't obey him and were firmly rooted to the floor.

Charles walked back to Malajak's body, picked up his hand and examined it closely. He saw that his left hand was covered with rings, so he took one off and put on a ring with the Lestrange family crest.

At this moment, almost all the Gryffindor and Ravenclaw students at Hogwarts were gathered at the windowsills of the tower, discussing the towering flames of Hogsmeade and Falbatton Castle to the east.
