Chapter 571 Invading Gringotts

Chapter 571 Invading Gringotts

Space distorted violently, and Dumbledore's figure appeared instantly in the chaos of Diagon Alley.

The first thing he saw was the massive Dark Mark hanging high above Gringotts, its ghastly green skull and serpentine tongue radiating a chilling aura of evil, as the Aurors were trying to eliminate him.

His gaze then settled on the tightly closed bronze doors of Gringotts.

Fudge, Scrimgeour, and the others stood at the door, frowning. Several wizards swung their wands, sending flames flying, but the door remained unmoved.

"You've finally arrived!" Fudge saw his savior. "The Mysterios and the Death Eaters have entered Gringotts!"

Dumbledore's expression instantly became more serious than ever before, and his eyes flashed with a sharp light.

"Let me do it!" His voice carried an unquestionable authority, and the wizards around him who were breaking the spell on the door instinctively stepped back, while the onlookers whispered among themselves.

Dumbledore pointed his Elder Wand at the Gringotts gates, the tip gathering terrifying magical power, ready to unleash a powerful shock spell capable of shattering the stone fortress!
However, just as the devastating torrent of magic was about to burst forth and crash into the gate, the bronze gate reacted.

"Buzz!"

A powerful magical shield, imbued with a unique and beautiful aesthetic, appeared out of thin air, standing firm like a transparent barrier before the gate!
Dumbledore's indestructible Impact Charm slammed into the shield. There was no earth-shattering roar, only a violent ripple of magical energy that spread wildly outwards, like a boulder falling into a lake, shaking violently before gradually calming down.

The heavy Gringotts doors remained perfectly still under the protection of the shields, not even a speck of dust was shaken off.

Dumbledore frowned, his eyes sharp as a hawk's, fixed on the invisible wall before him.

His powerful magical perception acted like the most precise probe, attempting to analyze, penetrate, and dismantle this shield.

A long-lost fighting spirit rose within Dumbledore, as if he had returned to his youthful days of constantly challenging unknown magic.

The Elder Wand lit up again at the tip, this time with a detection spell.

The invisible shield seemed to be stained with ink that emitted a multicolored black light, revealing countless captivating patterns.

The wizards responsible for breaking the curse were engrossed in watching, and one of them exclaimed, "There's actually such a structure!"

Dumbledore focused all his attention on observing carefully, not missing a single detail.

The technology behind the shield is modern, but the design is quite ancient. Who is behind it?

He could confirm that the shield was not made by fairies, but by wizards. In some places, he could see the styles of Grindelwald, Voldemort, and even his own. There were also many things he couldn't understand at first, but he vaguely remembered seeing them abroad.

After studying it for a while, he found that the complexity of the shield was far beyond his imagination. Before he could figure out the previous problem, a new problem arose, which was accompanied by a lot of seemingly related but actually information-polluting content.

At the same time, he could not clearly perceive the specific identity of the spellcaster behind the door, but the magic was powerful and familiar. Using the process of elimination, he quickly identified the person.

“Gellert…” Dumbledore murmured softly, but Fudge and the others beside him did not hear him.

Behind the door, Grindelwald heard Dumbledore's voice.

This is a little magic spell they invented a long, long, long time ago. Within a certain distance, the sound can be heard in the other person's ear.

Grindelwald's lips curled into a slight smile as he recalled those days, letting out a defiant laugh, as if to say, "Come on, if you dare!"

Dumbledore calmed down. He realized that his side had more people and could break through multiple nodes at the same time, peeling away the shield layer by layer.

Grindelwald was full of confidence. This magical shield was developed by himself, Jack, Charles, and the young people of Farbatton Castle. In addition to being sturdy, it was known for its particularly complex structure, which could buy time and allow the wizards who received the alarm to come and deal with the intruders.

A silent yet extremely dangerous magical contest unfolded fiercely on either side of the tightly closed doors. Meanwhile, Gringotts' underworld had been transformed into a living hell.

The Death Eaters surged down the steep track like a black torrent.

The fairy guards fought desperately, relying on the complex terrain and makeshift magical shelters. The light of the spells intertwined, collided, and exploded wildly in the narrow passage.

The Lestranges are the spearhead of the charge.

Bellatrix's Cruciatus Curse, like a viper's tongue, precisely and cruelly seeks out every exposed fairy, rendering them powerless amidst their agonizing screams.

Rodolphus's Explosive Spell was like a battering ram, each burst accompanied by flying debris and the collapse of the goblin's defensive fortifications.

Lucius Malfoy and Narcissa, on the other hand, appeared more composed and efficient. Their spells were precise and deadly, like surgical blades clearing away threats on the flanks and paving the way for the team's advance.

Their goal was singular—to rescue Charles and, incidentally, reclaim the treasures that belonged to their family.

The passage suddenly opened up, revealing a huge cave ahead, which inexplicably sent chills down one's spine.

The five newly arrived Peruvian venomous fanged dragons and the veteran Ukrainian iron-belly were assigned here to guard the key passage leading to the deeper levels.

The Peruvian venomous dragon, under the control of the fairy, bared its fangs and brandished its claws, while the Ukrainian iron-bellied dragon spewed demonstrative flames from its mouth.

"Eyes! Attack its eyes!" Lucius shouted calmly. The tricks to dealing with fire dragons were common knowledge to these veteran wizards.

Several precise eye-spells shot towards the fire dragon's huge, raging eyes like poisoned arrows.

"Roar--!"

The fire dragon let out a deafening roar of pain. The Eye Curse took effect immediately, blurring its vision and causing excruciating pain in its eyes.

They swung their enormous heads wildly, their fiery breath losing its aim and spraying haphazardly at the cave ceiling and surrounding rock walls, burning the rocks and sending shards of stone raining down. Many of the goblins were turned into torches.

Taking advantage of the dragons' confusion and suffering, the Death Eaters swiftly slipped through the gaps in their out-of-control flames, eliminating the dragon-taming goblins in the process, and plunged into the deeper darkness.

Voldemort strolled leisurely through the middle of the group, holding an ancient parchment map that emitted a faint magical glow. It was the deep structure map of Gringotts provided by Jack Smith, with Grindelwald's signature in the lower right corner.

On the map, one dot indicates the user's location, while another prominent dot marks the target location. A section of the road is cut off by a thick red line.

The group arrived at the red line location, in front of a huge stone wall that appeared to be without any gaps.

Voldemort stopped and scanned the marked points on the map to confirm that they were correct.

His hoarse voice rang out: "Lucius."

Lucius immediately understood and stepped forward.

He took a deep breath, took out a bottle of fairy blood he had just collected, and poured it onto his wand. Then, the tip lit up with a deep green light, and he began to quickly click and slide on several extremely hidden magical nodes on the stone wall, which looked like natural textures, while chanting incantations in the fairy language.

As he moved, the runes on the stone wall lit up and went out in turn, emitting a low hum.

A dozen seconds later, accompanied by a dull, loud thud of rocks rubbing together, the center of the seemingly solid rock wall slowly caved inward and rotated, revealing a deep, huge opening large enough to accommodate several people walking side by side, from which an even colder, more decaying aura surged out.
